i cannot wait for the performance update of the game
Tonys right with the approach also once you know the wavebreakers are there and the position the marauders mortar ability out ranges them and if you have not tear 3 marauders the final waves can help rank up or just spam the howitzer marauder and brute force
and tonys tip on dealing with the hives was also my approach it helps if you position your troops so the bugs cant surround them
must be patient, spawning wave also reduce bugs number in the hive, so just wait until kill this time's wave, then attack, if next wave coming go back a little, defend this wave first.
(if the hive or tunnel empty, then no wave spawn at there.)
and radio operator's only job is put drop zone, just supplement all your lose troopers, make sure they always full team.
and Wavebreakers are easy to destroy, just 1 Fleet Liaison.
use her elite abilitie: orbital bombardment.
two times orbital bombardment can destroy a Wavebreaker
bomb enemy, let them know the fleet's power!
oh, by the way, use marauder to check sniper and Wavebreaker's position first !
what type of your team bring to attack hive?
the spawn wave should not be a big problem in normal version.
Thank you for made this map.
actually, no matter normal version or open beta version, it's still a great map.
open beta version has more challenge, but still can clear(yes, I already clear open beta version) .
try it!
It will be very fun!
If still can not clear the open beta version, I will show some tips.
It is my start team: 2 rifle troopers, 1 radio operator, 3 chemical troopers.
we can stay near the base to train at least 1 rifle troopers elite, and let elite rifle troopers defend base.
then we can attack the left side hive near our base(can get 2 war support, then call a combat engineer to build turrets, then the main base should be safe in early stage).
very important tip: let rifle troopers and marine shoot hoppers first!

very important tip: let rifle troopers and marine shoot hoppers first!
hoppers can stun our troopers, so we have to kill them ASAP, don't worry warriors, warriors can be take care by chemical troopers.
by the way, in open beta version, rifle troopers are weak than normal version, so they can't shoot down hopper quickly, that's why open beta version is more difficult.
please do not play with open beta version, or the mission will become very hard.
play with normal version, then it is a easy mission.
because in beta version, troopers will miss a lot when shoot hoppers.
now I change to normal version to check it is easier or not.
But what the hell is this map?
Everything feels broken. So probably an open beta problem. But maybe not so i'll list the problems I had and other can confirm or deny with their own experiences.
Attack waves are 100%. Meaning the next one spawns as soon as the first hits your base. This... is awful.
Hives and tunnels are positioned weirdly and for some reason if you agro anything all tunnels start dumping units. You would need pre-positioned Hmgs and maxed out rainmakers to deal with that... Instead you have 3 rifle squads?
For kicks and giggles I spawned in a bunch of units to see what it would take to hold off an attack wave and fight a hive at the same time. The minimium I could do it with was 30 supply. Yes, that is after killing the two stinger nests and holding the enemy attack wave at the choke point.
The beta 5x how durable hoppers are against ALL units. So maybe that's not Clay's fault.
