Thanks for this. No idea why VE team decided to have the 'Mechanitor' gene tab and not even allow the androids to be without the 'psy-deaf' gene.

Quick idea, I think it would be cool to make it so Anti-Awakening Protocols and Emotion Simulators arent exclusive with each other. Not being able to use both makes it a huge pain if you want an unawakened android since youll have to keep resetting them.

I think it probably just takes the biological pawn's genes? From the limited testing I did, they never took the android routines/genes. I assume the VE code has something in there to stop biological pawns from getting those routines/genes.

Does it basically just make a copy of the other parent's genes for the child? Since doesn't make much sense for the child to be an android, or be affected by the "genes"/subroutines the android has

Thank you so much for making this, this is the exactly how I wish androids were to begin with. Having to invest so many resources and time to create this specific race, just for the customization to be so limited and locked out of the core gene system that adds so much flexibility to pawns felt like such a waste of potential.

These are perfect, being able to build in special abilities, psycasting, physical strength or letting them basically help make kids for biological pawns feel like proper things humanoid androids with this level of technology should be able to be made with.

I'll have it setup as an optional gene that blocks psycasting and just have world gen androids start with it.

I'm not familiar with it but I think just adding new subroutines that let them psycast would fit in fine with these.

Alright, so android pawns generated by the game will have the infertile trait. If you recruit one, you can remove this at the behavior station.

If you are making an android at the creation station, just decided to include the trait or not.

Yeah, I think they should be infertile by default. It'd take a conscious decision for someone building an android to make them capable of having kids.

I made them be fertile the default.

If enough people think this should be the other way around (They spawn infertile, but you can remove the infertile subroutine) let me know. I can also make this feature another sub-mod entirely if people want that.

I think if you remove the synthetic body gene that they have, it might be possible. (It lowers their fertility to 0)

However, you can do that without my mod, though I could make it or a separate one do that, if it does work like that.

Does this mean Android's can reproduce? Would be neat to see a female Android get pregnant to be honest.
