That's actually true. I didnt even know there was a normal variant and I thought he was talking about being able to produce them, that's why I said it isn't acquirable by other means. My bad, I should read more carefully next time.

@lucky_one - One is still expected to be able to store quest items. And that doesn't explain why the persona version behaves as expected when the normal one does not.

Im pretty sure the chainsword its only acquirable by quest rewards in both mods. It's not a bug.

@litehound - I remember this being an issue with the predecessor mod as well. I can't recall exactly, but I think it had to do with the XML for the chainsword not having the appropriate category for it to appear in storage menus.

I assume it's an issue with another mod of mine, but I can't find the chainsword in any storage or production menu, I can only find persona chainswords in storage menus, any idea what might be causing this? I assume it's just something I need to figure out myself since modlists are very scattered and unique, but if there's a known incompatibility I wanted to ask

Absolutely love how the weapons are so comically large they cover the description. Thank you for updating remastering this I have been waiting for bolters impact weapons to be updated to 1.6

@zephyrpeck That's why me and other modders use prefixes in the code, the chainsword's name in the game proper is "DV_Chainsword" so there should be no overlap unless they somehow use the same prefix.

I have an idea for what to add after the odyssey custom SMG. An anomalous impact weapon. Maybe a Shard Chainsword or Hellcat bolter.

Simillar question to the Paulinou's (also never tried the mod) How does the Impact Bolter compare to the War Bolter from "Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Bioferrite"?

You mean the charge rifle? It's kind of different, since the bullets explode instead of directly hitting enemies the damage is actually in the explosion, and so the size and frequency of explosion is to be taken into account. Either way, they're great for crowd control, and breaking stuff, I wouldn't say they're better than a charge rifle since, that one does have more AP and it's not explosive, but you can only target one at a time. In the hands of a good shooter, both impact and charge weapons are great.

@Tal'Raziid Would be a tad out of place here since everything uses impact munitions (except the chainsword, obviously) but Spacer Arsenal has a plasma blaster.

Thanks for the cool additions, as well as recent 1.6 updates!

It seems that Warcasket impact bolter is currently not craftable by players, if I'm not mistaken. (With VFEP loaded, ofc. There doesn't seem to be a box def.)
