Yeah patch 18 and 19 killed my mods to. I can't get my mods to work despite the tables being properly edited.

I don't think it will work because most mods that change the combat mechanics will conflict with this mod.
Wholesome Belisarius  [author] 19 Jan, 2017 @ 4:42pm
That's weird.
Chodemaster 19 Jan, 2017 @ 4:26pm
After picking around with it. I found soemthing funny. I set all the melee involved stuff that was in the table to 0 to see what would happened. I expected the battle to end up with no one doing anything. Like no killing, or sword fights, no secondary animations. Instead I found that the secondary animations still continued, but zero damage was done. I am assuming CA put secondary animations or something liek it in another spot.
Chodemaster 19 Jan, 2017 @ 9:54am
Yeah. Okay cause I know the altered tables are saved to attila data. I would have though setting secondary attacks tp 0 would have done the trick, but it does not seem to work, and it rather seems it did nothing. I'll have to poke around more.
Wholesome Belisarius  [author] 19 Jan, 2017 @ 6:17am
You can store the pack file manager werever you want and the mods must be saved in the data folder and then activated with the mod manager. Unfortunately, in attila the secondary attack table is quite tricky and doesn't seem to work properly most of the time. Sometimes, the way that some tables work does not make any sense at all.
Chodemaster 19 Jan, 2017 @ 12:42am
Thanks Galahad. You've been a huge help. I was able to get to the modding table and see all the actions. I was able to see the mod in the mod manager. But for what ever reason it seems as though my changes had no effect. To clear some stuff up.
The packfilemanager, the link that you gave me. All that is stuffed into the common/ATW folder, right? Not the data folder?
Once you save your mod, it is placed into data folder.
Wholesome Belisarius  [author] 18 Jan, 2017 @ 3:37am
I hope my instructions are clear enough. If you don't understand something , please ask me.
Wholesome Belisarius  [author] 18 Jan, 2017 @ 3:33am
Go to db---> kv_rules_tables--->_kv_rules double click on it and press "ok". You will see that it has been imported in your mod and now you can modify the tables. Find the "melee_secondary_attack_probability" table and change the number from 1 to a smaller number (e.g. 0,1) .Use comma and not period or the mod won't accept the number. Save the file in the data folder of your Total War game and your mod is ready. In case you want to change the settings again just go to "file--->open CA pack to find and open your mod.
Wholesome Belisarius  [author] 18 Jan, 2017 @ 3:33am
You only need the pack file manager (Download link below)
https://sourceforge.net/projects/packfilemanager/

Once you download it and open it, it will ask you the game directory so it can find more easily the pack files. After that click on the "game "tab above and select the TW game that you want. Then, click the tab "file" and create a new file. You'll see on the left white part it says "Untitled.pack". Right click on it and select "add---->From pack". A window will pop up so you can select the file from which you will import the tablew so you can make your mod. Select the "data.pack" file, open it and another window will pop up. Select the "plus" symbol next to the "data.pack" so you can see the files that it contains.

Do I need to download some mod system to set the number of secondary attacks? The assembly kit?
Wholesome Belisarius  [author] 17 Jan, 2017 @ 10:13am
They may be reduced if you change the number of the table for secondary attacks to a really small number (e.g. 0,1)
Chodemaster 16 Jan, 2017 @ 9:27pm
Sir Galahad. Was there any possiblity of drastically reducing secondary attacks? Or was that apart of the probelm you're having with it. I know you said you tried to remove seconadry attakcs, but it ran into errors. But could you drastically reduce it?
Really desperate to see a mod that eliminates heart attack deaths for Attila since one that I loved was removed.
Wholesome Belisarius  [author] 29 Nov, 2016 @ 10:21am
Unfortunately, I'm encountering in attila the same problems that I am encountering with rome ii after patch 17. Probably there won't be a version for attila. I'm sorry guys.
federicomari01 29 Nov, 2016 @ 9:08am
please, do it for Attila!!
