It is a really interesting and challenging scenario, but i think there is some broken scripts.
I hope it gets fixed, because is really nice variation in gameplay.

How are you *supposed* to get the turtle ship? If I go neutral with the Japanese Villagers and convert it, it doesn't cross off the objective.

Fun, but seems unwinnable. Got all 5 relics, but didn't satisfy the objective. Converted or destroyed all pirate docks and archery ranges, didn't satisfy the objective. Built a wonder, nothing. Not even a counter. Finally, I literally destroyed all enemy civs and still didn't win.

Man this is a super fascinating map and also seems broken as all hell. The triggers are probably pretty complicated granted, but there's lots of weird stuff like an objective to destroy one more Pirate archery range than actually exists, neither the conversion of the monks nor, subsequently, every building of theirs being destroyed and their resignation gave me the turtle ship, building the wonder didn't take it off my list, I basically did everything I could bar killing the two hero samurai and wiping out the last bit of that asakura enclave across the river (all without killing anyone!) before I just gave up.

It's a pretty fun campaign. At first I had to get used to the mechanics when and where i could convert vills safely and the fact that I could not produce my own vills. But after I understood it, it was quite fun and took me actually almost 3 hours in total.

I tried to do a no-kill route and had to restart several times but when they all started attacking it was to much for a noob like me :P.

Anyway a great experience.

Remeniscnet of Rise of Khmer as your best work for sure! It has everything!

tried playing this, everytime i tried to convert a villager, every soldier of that faction would come for my monk, EVERY SOLDIER! I confirmed it by marco polo and saw them all converge as soon as i started the conversion.

interesting game style, but on hard its only griefing, play it long time ago, win it. but only with grief play without fun. try it one more time and see: thumbs down. the author is in my opinion a griefer ;)

the change in trigger comes from the scenario being a bit silly when you havent actually started building anything and it says the crops draw the locust lol when you dont atually have much of anything, only coverted guys to get them out the way and then deleting them
Unconfirmed Troll 4 May, 2016 @ 3:41pm
ok so i had a look at your map in editor - there is a stranded guy on the left that the pirates just kill before you can possibly get to him, making him redundant and useless - just using up extra triggers really.secondly - id recommend the trigger for yellows attack be apop of 10 or x amount instead of conversions, or change to built town centre IMO

Mothermedusa, actually that makes sense. The sound files are in the English resources folder.
MotherMedusa 6 Sep, 2015 @ 5:16am
Hi again, ok i figured it out. I dont know why but as i turn the game language in the options from german to english, finally i had sound in all your szenarios. But thanks for your response!
Filthydelphia  [author] 2 Sep, 2015 @ 6:39pm
MotherMedusa, I have no idea. There are sound files (in mp3 format) included with the campaign. Open up your file explorer and go to your Age of Empires 2 HD Folder. Go to mods and you'll see Way of the Buddha. Open it up and go to the following filepath: resources\en\sound\scenario you should see 11 mp3 files, including the music. If not, unsubscribe, delete the Way of the Buddha folder and re-subscribe and download. I hope this helps.

Hey, nice job so far. But i have a problem with the custom music. I turn the musicvolume down and the sound up but theres no music. When i move the slider for musicvolume up again, i hear the normal aoe gamemusic. Any Idea? Do i miss sth? There is no On Off Button for sound and music or?

Dubayoo, I am impressed you have gotten so far without killing anyone! Are you sure you have destroyed all the Pirate docks and archery ranges? There is one pirate dock to the west away from the others. Once those are all destroyed and the Wonder built, there is a brief exposition (the ending varies slightly depending on how you played) and then you win. It should work.

how do I launch this after installing it?

I noticed that for some buildings you merged them together. How can I ignore the building placement limitations like you did?

Sure filthydelphia! Add me on steam if you ever need to contact me.

Wow thanks, Loopz! It's great to see how someone else plays a scenario without the benefit of the creator's knowledge. You approached some things in unique ways that I did not anticipate. Glad you enjoyed it. May I use your playthroughs as videos on the Steam description?

Great campaign! I recorded a playthrough and I'm uploading it to youtube :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBaM7aeGXP8 for the first part!
