I haven't used the ship, but I just want to say that this looks beautifully done, goodjob!

thanks for letting me know. sadly this is a side effect of using mods and one of the main reasons why i stopped bothering with them.

i have phased out this fighter and all the others of its series to my vintage collection, as it is too much trouble to maintain modded creations. when i have some time, i'll work on replacements.

Cockpit doesnt exist anymore :/

Okay, I guess my builds were too small! :steamfacepalm::steamhappy: Keep it up, your work inspires me!
Lord Commissar  [author] 28 Jan, 2016 @ 10:37am
not that i know of, but i haven't used his mod since hydrogen was introduced...

Hey there, I love these ships! The home fleet paintjob is great.
I remain with a question though: Are there different uploads of the Sage thruster? In my version, I have a small one, but it is like 6 or 7 blocks long, yours look somehow smaller...

Beautiful design, gonna borrow it for a little project of mine, hope you like the home I'm giving it :)

Dark lord would like to say that the idea of "Phoenix flight systems" is personally a great idea as it makes the game feel immersive with the feeling that there are organizations that are out there making ship with different varieties of ship classes with a back story and specs etc. In my opinion i think you should use more aesthetic mods to help make the ships look more attractive and interesting (which they are anyways imo). Keep up the good work.
Lord Commissar  [author] 5 Jan, 2015 @ 9:37am
just tested it again and got shot out the cockpit. that is very strange that you don't have the same issue...only thing i can guess is maybe it's one of the many mods you say you have
Lynnuxx 5 Jan, 2015 @ 9:25am
Negative, no damage ! I pasted your ship as blueprint into my world which contains lotsa mods.
thruster damage and destructable blocks are on. Accelerated to full speed the sides then turning violently, always firing => no damage. Yawing at max. rotation speed while firing => no damage.
Obviously something is different in your world and mine. It's not the Dragonfly.
Lord Commissar  [author] 4 Jan, 2015 @ 10:43pm
you wont experience it unless you go over 68m/s to either side

also may depend on what blocks you are shooting at, some arent deformable so you wont notice damage until they disappear
Lynnuxx 4 Jan, 2015 @ 10:20pm
Hmm, just tested it again and no damage to your fighter. I then placed an autocannon on one of my ships so it was shooting through a few blocks and the blocks were destroyed.
So I can't reproduce what you've experienced.
Lynnuxx 4 Jan, 2015 @ 10:03pm
Oh, saw your comment and tested it. The ship wasn't damaged (block damage on). Somehow cannons don't seem to damage the own ship anymore as I saw on another ship yesterday which should have been damaged by its own cannons for sure.
I don't know how much resources are necessary to build a carbon armor block. It should be lightweight but also use a lot resources in turn. If this is not the case, it's OP for sure. But balancing mods is another topic which shuldn't be discussed here further ;-)
Lord Commissar  [author] 4 Jan, 2015 @ 9:48pm
ah thanks for the link, i did always hate how the maglocks were much heavier than normal.
the cannons were placed out to the side so that it can strafe without self damage. as you'll notice, it's the ones near the cockpit, not on the wings, that cause the damage.

however, i will not use the carbon armor, as it is simply OP
Lynnuxx 4 Jan, 2015 @ 9:32pm
Oh, but imo the outer cannons are mounted to far from the center. Don't know if you want it that way then keep it ;-)
Lynnuxx 4 Jan, 2015 @ 9:28pm
Looks good, performs well. Especially the handling is pretty harmonic for me.
Hint: Replace the maglock surfaces with ones having the mass of a standard landing gear (there is a mod made by Harag: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=343014073&searchtext=maglock) . Reduces the mass a lot.
I also "carbonised" it, means replacing the light armour blocks with carbon ones =>
Mass finally reduced to 28 tons, performance improved.

epic ship

LOL I don't see the mods .. They are 1 cm above the comment area it happens everytime on my items ... Well done Dark Lord +1 sub :approve:
Lord Commissar  [author] 28 Dec, 2014 @ 10:34am
read the description
Magic.DREAD 28 Dec, 2014 @ 6:04am
hey what mods did you use
Lord Commissar  [author] 27 Dec, 2014 @ 2:41pm
if you are putting it in the folder, it should be working. you can check in game before you publish as it should show your new image in the blueprint menu if it has gone through

also, make sure it's a .png for blueprints
Laurie 27 Dec, 2014 @ 1:13pm
Nice ship :)

I was just wondering btw, how did you customize the workshop thumbnail? I have tried changing the thumbnail in my ship's blueprint folder but it doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas?
Lord Commissar  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 2:59pm
im not sure what to tell you, other than refreshing your blueprints in game or restarting the game itself. beyond that, i would guess its a problem either with your game or with steam
VoidFish 26 Dec, 2014 @ 2:49pm
Lol, kinda forgot how but i clicked subscribe but its not showing up in my blueprints.
Dynamit-Harry 26 Dec, 2014 @ 2:44pm
You're welcome.

The "Azimuth Fussion Reactor" raises the output power to 9 mw compared to the stock reactors 3.5. I do not think thats much of an op, but in that case, there is the "Azimuth Reactor" witch is on 5 mw.
Lord Commissar  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 12:07pm
it does overload on certain, more complicated maneuvers. i try to avoid modded reactors, though, because most of them get in OP territory.

thanks for the feedback though!
Dynamit-Harry 26 Dec, 2014 @ 12:00pm
Great ship, mate. I tried it and I loved it. Both to fly with and to look at.

I did however found that i went into overload on the reactor. I dont know if it was me or The ship that caused it. I tried to replace the stock reactor with the "Azimuth Fussion Reactor"
She became a bit heavier, but not much. :)

Love the ship, good job.
Drudackus 26 Dec, 2014 @ 11:50am
Thaaaaat's a niiiiice lookng ship. Great design. excellent work.
Lord Commissar  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 11:25am
it was mostly an aethetic choice, tbh. as you can see by the note above, the wing autocannons are actually safer to use than the one thats forward next to the cockpit. the only other way to make a safer autocannon was to put them even more forward, which ruins the aesthetic. still, as a side strafer it is not as difficult to compensate for the accuracy issue like it is in a forward flying fighter, and multiple autocannons were used to give it extra piercing. a wider range of fire also allows you to hit smaller targets more easily (like the scattercannon), and it is more useful against larger ships.

of course, if pilots really dont like it, they are always welcome to turn off the wing autocannons or replace them entirely. no one is stopping you ;)
LeonserGT 26 Dec, 2014 @ 8:52am
Looks great. Well done. But 6 autocannons... are all in the same key, in my opinion. Besides, 4 cannons on wings can't show needed accuracy, may be it's better to use 4 scattercannons instead?
