if this mod doesnt work for you just open the console and click on your character then type ("setscale" 0.90") without the brackets on your prefered race

I like this mod, but it would be cool if it wasn't just a player race mod; but also if the player could encounter the young adults within the game world. BTW so far working fine, no bugs or conflicts with other mods. Good job my friend.

@ScalesBloodShed One of my hairstyle packs I for sure got off of Steam: Ponytail Hairstyles by Azar. As far as being a vampire lord goes, I'm not sure. I have the DLC but never played it. I honestly only got them because I thought I had to in order to get the Skyrim high-quality rework. I've been meaning to go through and make sure everything works on this and my other mod but I haven't touched the Creation Kit in so long that I'm not sure how competant I would be! I'll have to refresh my memory at some point and get it done, but it may be a while! :(

also is there any better looking hair mods on steam? nexuis is kinda broken for me

i have a mod that lets me change the hight of all my player chars and do lots of other stuff with them :)

@Spade Yes, it only affects the player. There are a couple tweaks to some NPCs where it made sense, as well as shortening the NPC children so that they aren't the same height as your character. :)

@draogan1 I do know that there are mods like that. This one actually lets you customize the character you are playing. The main change is height. I could have named it "shorter player characters" just as easily. As I am just under 5 feet tall, myself, I identify more with shorter characters but did not wish to sacrifice individuality, so I took it upon myself to make a mod for my own use and share it for anyone who happened to like it. If you do not see the point of it, just don't download it.

you do know there is mads out there that let you wear and wield anything as a child just like the adults can

Does this only affect the player?

I can't change anything on the Nord Youth other than weight, dirt, hair color and war paint plz fix I want to change my hair style

Scratch the issue with the Bosmer Youths, I redownloaded and everybody works fine now.

I must've done something wrong wjile I was tweaking this mod; I made the characters a little bigger so they'd be more like teenagers (14-17) tham tweens (11-13).

Even without me tweaking it, this is one of my favourite mods off the workshop (your Snow Elves is the other)

this sounds like a pretty dank mod but I would reccomend increasing the size of the head a little bit, which I always get picky about in mods since they end up looking like adults, just smaller.

@jjalting is you "simply" resize your character you will have to "simply" resize he or she every time you enter the game. plus your walking system along with others will be screwed up thanks but this mod is worth it once and done or everytime you load the game. Your choice.

Thanks. Great idea for a mod that gives you teen-agers. Now when my teenagers mess up I can wack'em real good and make them go to their room. I'm thinking of playing a teenager in my next game. Thank for sharing with us.

when you push magic your game crash and you start back putting your game on to play, other wise things go smooth.

Try nordraceyouth instead. I went and checked and all the IDs have the race name, followed by "race" and "youth."

Side note, all the normal race IDs end with "race," as well.

What is the race IDs for these youth races? I'm running into a bug with Dawnguard and I need to manually set my race as vampire but nordyouth doesn't work.

I seem to have a problem with the wood elf youths.
Both genders simply stand there, arms down at their sides, and use no animations at all.
Any Ideas?

One idea to turn some NPCs to teens would be, imstead of recording new audio, surely you can use a tool to alter the pitch of the voice, and then slow it down, so they talk with a younger pitch but not too fast. There's voice altering tools everywhere. Something to think about :)

Change the race to a different race for a moment and then change back to your original race. That should reset things for you.

I'd love to use this, but once I set my character as youth I cannot change their appearance anymore (via console's showracemenu)... it's stuck on the same haircut/eyes color, etc... :/

I know it'd be a lot of work and probably another mod entirely but have you thought about adding teenage NPCs to the world? Seems like in Skyrim people are either children, adults or older children in the bodies of adults! I can think of a few existing NPC's who would make better teenagers than adults. Maybe throw in a handful of generic teenagers around the world too, just to fill the population out a bit. I hope you'll consider it, just if you do please don't make any of them essential because as in real life, killing teenagers in Skyrim should always be fun and rewarding, not totally impossible!

mostly it's female voice mods I find with a handful of male voice mods on the nexus

If you find one that matches the "young eager" voices, let me know and I'll try that with this mod. If it works the way I want it to, I'll recommend it. Because as of now most of the human youths don't actually shout...

oh well if i do that I'd need to get me one of those voice mods for shouts. only question is which to choose :P
