It probably has..However-- He works now, though, which is good! I am really not sure why it wasn't working before but I think all's I had to do was just re-download garry'smod. I assume it was just a glitch with my game's files, bleh.

@Xeltore I have not modded source in a long time. There is no other game requirements. The only reason for the textures not to work is if gmod updated these past couple of years and changed it's directory order.

oh, could you possibly add jaw bones to the model? it doesn't have to be faceposing. just a sort of bone for the jaw that would allow for it to be opened and closed. Thanks!

how much longer until the next update? i use this as my main playermodel and i would like for there to be a new update soon. btw the finger of the playermodel has a little extra bit sticking off that should be fixed. Thanks!

Basically I started learning source by checking out this https://sites.google.com/site/zeqmacaw/tutorials/modding-a-left-4-dead-2-survivor
and looking at this video for Gmod too when I was lost with where gmods directories were supposed to look like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkY60trlyYI

Since I had L4D2 knowledge for modding first person, all I really did was use Gmad to look at where the directories or and stuff were the arms by comparing it to a extracted player model I used gmad on and checked the gmod exclusive Lua file and added the first person arms like that to it.

But all you really need to know about most modding for most games is putting your files in the right folders (directory paths), naming your files correctly along with making your textures named right right and rigging your mesh onto the games base skeleton using a 3d program Blender or 3ds max 2012.

Though despite Source being the hardest engine to mod you can find tons of video tutorials for Source modding on youtube. Once you know how to mod using source, you most likely can mod any game that uses source engine such as portal, Left4Dead, Gmod, and Team Fortress 2 since they use the same technique.

Since source engine is the hardest engine to mod in my opinion, it is difficult to really explain what you need to do. When modding at first I recommend extracting your existing mods in any game your planning to mod and compare them to yours so you get a idea how the mod works and what folder order you need to put them in.

@Ratchet Well I first learned source by modding Left4Dead2. It took me to mod Skyrim, Sonic Generations, and Don't Starve to find out Source is a very HARD engine to mod. So for beginners I highly recommend attempting to mod easier games such as Sonic, or Skyrim since they don't require some coding knowledge.

Don't starve requires coding knowledge but gives you helpful error logs that directs you to the problem plus it's 2d and unlikely to give you those dreadful compiling errors, unlike Source which you have to deal with 3d. You must compile and pray that it compiles right and edit the code correctly to ensure all is well.

Hey I love this model port it's very very nostalgic too me but may I ask how on earth you do it?
I have always wanted to create a model or port a model from a game into gmod :D If it's too hard for you to explain dw about it ;) Either way I hope you bring in more characters from these games. :SBpenguin:

Now if only a very talented group around on Workshop would make some awesome R&C weapons and gadgets (maybe even entities, maps, and npcs) to go with them. I know they would take a tremendous amount of time and effort to make, but I think a lot of the Garry's mod community would absolutely love the outcome.

@Ratchet the Lombax Yeah there's some problems with the models environ map. I ran into the same odd problem with Nefarious's L4D2 port but managed to fix it. Since I'm rusty with source modding it might take a moment to correct the lighting problem ^^;

As for other character models. I can't promise anything since I have the worst attention span when it comes to sticking with modding the same game. I literally have to force myself to come back :'D
But I'll see what I could possibly do :)

The model is good and I have no coding problems with it. However, it is a little bit grainy when you take a look at it and is a little faded. Overall still a nice model. You did good importing this one, why don't you bring in a few more, and from some of the older games?
