Not sure I think he may have some of the same formations my mod has so it may conflict with his mod. But it wouldn't hurt to test it and see.

Its been two years since the last comment, but ill ask anayway: just to clarify, is "rank rotation" on permanently? i press the button but nothing seems to happen. it appears to be "on" but no icon shows next to the unit banner as i expected.

Very good mod! However, why not include these formations for auxillary units? They would have had training similar to that of the legions.

Is there any way to make the Army ability panel on the bottom bigger during battles? All the abilities are very small and bunched up together. My UI in the options is also already set to 100% but still doesn't work.

Its basically the same just with this mod I've cut out some of the formations that just seemed rather useless and some that seemed to close to other formations.

They did cover the sides but for some reason they never put that in this game. Rome Total War had it so I don't see why they couldn't have added it in this game. And the Testudo Icon is small because the more abilities you add the smaller the icons become to be able to fit them next to one another. If thats what you was talking about that is.

jp23 well true they shouldn't be able to get through the Testudo but the Testudo in this game doesn't have the romans guarding the sides with shields like rome total war did. I could make it where rocks and arrows don't do damage to the sides and back of the Testudo but it would just seem strange cause the soldiers aren't guarding the sides and back.

Great mod, Testudo still gets killed...... Head on its fine... slingers, javelins, horse archers kill it from the sides..... I just don't get it..... guys throwing rocks shouldn't be killing guys in testudo...

Any chance to remake the unit rotation ability is still o.p i mean i understand the ideea but having constantly fresh legionaries after 50 min of battle where the enemy is routing is a bit OPP

its possible make a mood FOR ATTILA TOTAL WAR that give to every foot generals the square formation? I think it would be nice to see your guards die for your general to the end, and maybe more good than took your general in first line in every figth. However AMAZING MOOD! Hello Raven, would you be willing to teach me how to replicate the Rank Rotation ability using PFM? I seem to fail at creating custom abilities and that there appears to be no guides on this area.

Its up to date but as for working with DEI it does but not all formations work correctly last time I checked I think Centuria formation was abit off but that was awhile ago I would have to test it again to make sure.

Yeah it will if you put them in centurion formation on the wall before starting the battle but it wont if you put them in centurion formation after pressing start battle.

If you accidentally activate centurion formation when the unit is stationary and connected to a defensive wall the game will crash. Just something I recently discovered.

Really sounds like a great idea... as the romans seem to stall when other nations become more advanced.. If they could get legionaries at the right time, not too early or late.. I found the threat of invasion by rome went away around once i took spain and parts of gaul which was turn 100..

I could make a mod that lowers their research time for roman units so they will start building them earlier because it does take them a long time to upgrade to legionnars. Would you want me to make one that lets them build them faster? I've thought about making it for alittle while anyways.
