I have updated the Pikeman as a solo download using the more updated files from FancyFez's ISM modpack. No fixes or edits have been made other than to make the mod functional again and weed out the other defunct and broken weapons. It can be found here .

Love the mod, but any chance of adding a 2nd version or updating this one with a full oneblock sqare base? I know it's not a major thing but I love these turrets but using them with conveyor tubes leave a large gap around the base that looks bad (I can look in and see the conveyor).

I used a conveyor box vs a tube at the end as a improv fix but those eat up so many materials and I would rather not use them if possable.

Great mod other than that, thanks so much for fixing the collision mesh!

Hey man, big fan of your mods! I picked this one up because I needed a turret that was small and would provide anti-missle and asteroid defense for my capital ships. I think that the placement box is too big for it though, I could see a 1x2x1 area taken up, but 3x2x3 seems kinda excessive. Could this be changed or would ya rather keep it?

@Tiger - there is collision box, currently only for base. Once I have some free time I'll try to tweak it a little, you know modding isn't the only thing on my head right now.

@FancyFez - well... I suppose no collision box is better than a huge one. Someday, could you make the box fit the rough shape of the turret? A half-block-high box or cylinder for the base, and a sphere around the gun part would do the trick. See how the vanilla gatling gun is collison meshed for an example (Alt+Shift+F12 in creative).

these things have a nasty habit of shooting each other/thier own ship... most turrets have this problem at some angles but these are really bad about it, otherwise love your weapons

This is a great meteor and missile CIWS, especially now that turrets can be set to ignore ship types and focus on meteors and missiles only... but the large ship version has an enormous and stupid collision box. Can't you apply a collision mesh that fits the turret better, like the vanilla turrets have?

Also, I dunno if you can tweek this or not, but the turrets have a tendency to nick their own ship when tracking fast targets, and a split second actually causes a lot of damage.

OK I have had it with the crashes and I think its time that this needs to be addressed anf fixed. constructing the turret goe sfine but the turret isnt operational once constructed. I turned off and turn it on, didnt do anything. Did it again and click Control triggered the crash. heres the log

I hope you fix this for the mayfly also because they are effective meteor killers.

I think what it is, is that it needs build progression models, and thats what the problem is

crashing isn't my problem. my problem with this mod is, when it shoots at an enemy, and the enemy moves behind my base blocks (that it's connected to) it still shoots for a few shots and stops after the damage has been done. I love this turret though, but that needs to be fixed :) and when placed, its like a solid block around it

These turrets are awesome, but they are pretty broken. when they shoot, they actually can hit my own base and they have a huge invisible block around them. please fix this
