Oh also does the db/spart_melee_weapons table in the .pack file effect all weapons in the campaign or just the weapons of the Rome faction? Having a +4 bonus damage for tusks compared to the +0 of vanilla seems OP just to give it to Romans. Seems retarded not to have a bonus vs. cavalry on both tables but I guess the "balance" plays out properly in game.

Is this savegame compatible? I'm running a Rome campaign with Radious.

I don't think it would be because of the STARTPOS.esf in the mod .pack?

The initial armies are fine as they are, even for the fleet I would not change anything. You can leave buildings as they are.

Then the mod also works with the ancestral update and I can say that it's great! But I would change some things because now Rome is too strong!


Research side:


1) in civil research I recommend to decrease to step 2 economy and philosophy, for quato riguerda the buildings I would stop at the first step of technology

2) in military research, the tactics would complete only up to the first step, the management even up to the first, the siege up to the second


Finally, I would reduce the initial funds to about 20000 deniers or even 30,000 so the campaign should be more balanced, also because seeing the legionaries in 255 a.c. about is not really pleasant!

I tried Rise of rome but its not saveable and it clashes with other mods that alter my the faction i place to vanillan stats and I'm not happy with it, this mod on the other hand is better in its own right.

I dont know, I have done several play throughs and everytime Italy and the surronding areas is controlled by the etruscans or Carthage. Sometimes Rome is just a client state to one of the factions

No, thanks. CA broke many mods with their newest patch. I tried another mod that worked for me. Unfortunately, with these campaign or AI mods it takes much longer to see if they still work than with smaller modifications.

I do understand that it's highly embarrassing for modders to see that their mods are broken by CA as you simply cannot check and update them all the time. I'm sorry for getting upset. Thanks for the answer.

Rome got destroyed in 266 BC with your mod enabled. That's not exactly a 100% chance of becoming an empire. It's even worse than with the vanilla setting enabled. Seriously, test your mods before you announce them to work 100%.

While an interesting mod, unfortunately I will not be using it because it seems to have issues with other mods, causing other factions to recieve no income except for the bonus hidden income.
