Depends on the time of the day you start the mission, around 6 hours, if you plan using it in a mission you should test or you can un-pbo the file and alter values acording to your needs.
To make a copy of the map, you need to make the terrain from scratch and give another name, however this will create copyright issue.
Hopefully we not going to need this mod iwith TANOA release. If BIS will fix the ponds and AI interaction with them, the script for tide will be implemented and we not going to need mods to increase water level anymore.
and can you make this a seperate terrian instead of replacing altis?
Yes you can, but you have to un-pack the pbo, change the value in config.cpp
in line that contains
MaxTide = 32;
Replace 32 with desired value.
Re-pack config.cpp using Arma 3 Tools to regenerate the mod. You'll get a pbo file. More simpler chech out the file structure i used.
I hope BIS, with TANOA DLC release, will make MaxTide scriptable so we won't need this mod anymore.
To speed it up you have to accelerate or skip time, otherwise you need to edit the pbo and set a higher value for maxtide then compile the file again so the water level starts higher and goes even higher followind tide cycle.
Slowly becomes higher andf higher, but is not set to cover all land with water, high grownd and hills will still be dry land. You can edit the mod and increase maxtide if you want all land under water.
No it isn't :( The only way is to write a small addon. However in the future maybe will be possible since BIS is fixing ponds now. We'll see...
I'll provide a link ASAP. Anyways, you need to install ARMA3 Tools if you haven't already in order to use Addon Builder to generate the pbo again once you done editing.
By default the mod has a maxtide of 5.
Which can take a while to manifest depending on the time you set the mission to start.
If you want bigger tide you need un-pbo the file, edit values for maxtide then compress again.
You can use this one for a maxtide of 31 or so (i forgot the exact value i used):

Cheers!
Tide will change over time but is not so pronounced. In order to change that you have to un-pbo the addon, change values and then compile it back. Here it is a link for a bigger tide, far as i remember is set for a 31 m tide or so, at maximum point most land of Altis will be under water.

But is a cool Addon!
make sure you enabled the addon in A3, restart the game once you done it if you use A3 expansions menu. If you use ARMAsync or A3 launcher you don't need to restart if you enabled the addon before start. Let me know if it works.
However in my mission i didn't want to go too high with water so at the highest level you still see dry land.
what time did you set it at, im trying to get the water high but its just going around head hight at the beach arears
Dunno buddy :) The highest value i tested is 35 and that at higher peek pretty much covers the higher hills on ALTIS with water :)
whats the highest hight of the water?
thanks mate that helped out a lot
Level of what is changing over time, decreasing and increasing based on the time fo the day, however if you want a higher level you need to un-pbo the file, modify Maxtide value to something bigger, then compile it back and replace the pbo in the addon folder.
For all this you can use A3 tools from STEAM or any other third party application that does the same thing.
If i have time i will make a tutorial.
Hope this helps.
Ok, let's do what i usually do, install the mod manually.
1- Download this file
http://game-comics.com/missions-arma3/@Altis_BloodRunner.zip
2- Decompress
3-You will have a folder like @Altis_BloodRunner, copy that folder wherever you have A3 installed, by default is c:\Program files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\
4- using A3 launcher or A3 sync or from A3 game menu - Addons, select the mod and enable it, then start/restart A3
5- Once you did all that you will have @Altis_BloodRunner, but be aware that this will affect all ALTIS missions/campaigns, use it only for mission design for a higher level of water so to say.
Disable mod by deselecting it and restart A3 in order to return to original state of ALTIS terrain.
I hope this was helpful :)
Have fun!
You don't see it in the terrain list?
I suppose you have it enabled right?
The easiest way to do it now is using A3 tools from STEAM: Addon maker or something, i'm on browser now can't check exact name. Login on STEAM and install A3 tools first of all, i'll pass you the name of tool ASAP if you can't find it.
ive already unpacked the pbo and converted the config file over to .cpp and modifyed it so now i just need to find a way to binarize the config alot easier
:) Cheers man. If i only got the time. Thanks!
