The library mod doesn't work with modded houses. The basement mod DOES work with all modded houses.

If you added this library room to your Skyrim Special Edition Adventurer's Basement mod I would totally pay for it!
Flavius 6 Feb, 2019 @ 11:18am
@Bluntaxe. Thanks man - I'm not seeing the empty collection option in the orb. All I have is "add.." "sort..." and Exit.

Should I be looking somewhere else? Is there a console command or somewhere else i need to look. Thank you for your help. The mod is fantastic (basement too!). I just want to be able to see all my books =)
Bluntaxe  [author] 5 Feb, 2019 @ 9:42pm
@Flavius - From memory there should be an option to empty the collection from the shelves and return it to inventory. Then you should be able to sort the shelves from scratch again.

If that doesn't work that im afraid I can't help you, it sounds like the reset position code isn't working on the books, which is a problem I haven't encountered before with others.
Flavius 5 Feb, 2019 @ 8:42pm
Is there any way to "Reset" the mod's memory of the books? It seems like it is remembering that those books were present before and therefore is not showing them. If I could refresh it I should get it to display to books in the container, no?

Also - for anyone else finding this with the same problem. After my books disaappeared, I found all the missing books by using the "TCL" console command and flying outside of the house. All the books were organized in a little area just outside the house surrounded by organization orbs.
Flavius 5 Feb, 2019 @ 8:42pm
I really enjoy this mod, but have run into a frustrating bug. In attempting to clean up the first time I ran into the "poltergeist " problem where all the books I had collected were on the floor upon entering breezehome.

Unfortunately, I manually picked them up (it was late maybe?) and seem to have broken the mod. All of my training books disappeared and when i readded them they now stay in the extra books container, rather than being displayed on the shelves.

@QuinzelHJ I'm not sure Bluntaxe is working on this any more. No real updates since 2015. His version of Blacksmith's Basement for Skyrim Special Edition (Adventurer's basement) has some of the features mentioned in his "upcoming features" posts for Blacksmith's Basement, but I can't find a Scholar's library for SSE at all, and I have seen no updates for this mod (Scholar's Library for Skyrim) since Feb 2015.
Unless @Bluntaxe has news for us, I think that the current state is the best you will get.

Hello !
Thanks for your job, it's really great !

But I have a little question :

Is it possible to have the library in Lakeview Manor (the house we can build nearby Falkreath) ?
I have built all the wings and my intendant doesn't propose to buy the library.

I have it in Whiterun and Solitude but it would be really great to have it in the house I built with my little hands (yes, i'm sentimental ).

Thank you in advance !

I hope I could use this mod in Skyrim SE.
Do you have any plan for this?
Vic 10 May, 2018 @ 2:40am
Welcome back, bluntaxe. Hopefully you are in a position to continue with some of your plans for this mod?
Bluntaxe  [author] 17 Apr, 2018 @ 5:37pm
@Claerwen - This occurs when the mod is turned off, and the game is loaded and then saved. To fix it youll need make sure the mod is turned on, and load a saved game from before they disappeared.
Claerwen 11 Apr, 2018 @ 1:09pm
All my books are gone... what can I do? I collected them for so long...
OutOfBody 26 Jan, 2018 @ 11:52pm
Fantastic! Thank you for making this!
Krylenta 7 Sep, 2017 @ 10:31pm
I hope to see this moved to skyrim SE or added to the adventur's basement. There is nothing like this in any other app.
BizarrelySituatedSalt 30 Jul, 2017 @ 4:16am
I'm sure you get asked this a lot but are you ever going to add hearthfire homes?
BigOOF 24 Apr, 2017 @ 10:51am
The room is no longer in my save, nothing has changed and it is till loaded. Please help.
Boon: Bees? 30 Jan, 2017 @ 8:48am
This is honestly one of the best mods I've ever seen. It's always bothered me how none of the Libraries in any house (even the Hearthfire ones) could fit all of the books; problem solved! The "Extra Books" chest is a great addition, saves the trouble of having to figure out what you've already put in. My only (very minor) complaint is that the collision box for the sorter in the Breezehome Library is a little big, obscuring part of the doorway. Honestly though, really minor compared to what this mod brings to the table! Thank you!
Louy 28 Dec, 2016 @ 11:10pm
I am so eager for the library to be added to Windstad manor! Your mods are amazing. Please continue! :)
Gnome 22 Dec, 2016 @ 7:04am
Do you have any plans to port this mod to Skyrim SE ?

Regards

knuckles2007 25 Oct, 2016 @ 11:10am

MonroeJigsaw 20 Oct, 2016 @ 7:16pm
oh derp...lol........well i figured it out tho and got it at Proudspire xD
Bluntaxe  [author] 20 Oct, 2016 @ 6:59pm
@MonroeJigsaw - This mod doesn't add librarys to the hearthstone houses.
MonroeJigsaw 20 Oct, 2016 @ 9:34am
i built the library at Lakeview Manor, but it just seems to be the vanilla one... D:
Bluntaxe  [author] 19 Oct, 2016 @ 6:36pm
Glad to help :-)
MonroeJigsaw 19 Oct, 2016 @ 6:12pm
YES i was literally thinking to myself recently "boy woudln't it be sweet if the dude who made the Blacksmith's Basement mod made one for books" AND LOOK AT WHAT I FOUND!! :steamhappy:
Siobhalla 19 Aug, 2016 @ 12:29am
This mod is awesome but just a thot, put the library into the blacksmith basement you have. then it wont kill other mods that change the home interiors and can be reached from the basement.
Gol Zin Viing 30 Jul, 2016 @ 7:05am
Great Mod Blunt as allways.....something I've noticed books in my library in one house may be marked as stolen and the SAME book in a different house may not be.....also My character doesnt steal books.....all found through hard work adventuring.
Bluntaxe  [author] 24 Jun, 2016 @ 5:07am
the Library is to your immediate left when you enter breezehome, a door has appeared where there wasn't one before
pokemonbacon 23 Jun, 2016 @ 4:29pm
i did
Bluntaxe  [author] 23 Jun, 2016 @ 1:52pm
@caxmann2000 - The library does appear in breezehome, but you have to purchase it from a steward
pokemonbacon 22 Jun, 2016 @ 12:09pm
i bought it for breeze home but it didnt appear
Bluntaxe  [author] 22 Jun, 2016 @ 9:32am
@MegaTherium - No sorry. I ended up getting fulltime work and I haven't had the time for a big project since. It is something i'd like to complete if I ever find the spare time.
Bluntaxe  [author] 22 Jun, 2016 @ 9:31am
@caxmann2000 - The library is a purchasable addition to each of your houses, much in the same way that you would buy a kitchen or bedroom. You can purchase it from the relevant steward of each city
Bluntaxe  [author] 22 Jun, 2016 @ 9:30am
@Ernst_Lindemann - The mod holds all of the worldbooks from the vanilla game. It doesn't hold any of the dragonborn books, spell books, journals or scraps of paper. If you are holding a book which doesn't fit in the bookshelf, it will be sent to the extra book chest.

I had plans to add the dragonborn world books, but never had the time sorry. I work full time now.

The steal issue and the lack of a "loot all" option we're also on a list of things I was going to add. If I ever get the spare time, I will do so.
pokemonbacon 21 Jun, 2016 @ 7:21am
how do i get to it
Therium 12 Jun, 2016 @ 12:03pm
is this mod still going ?
Ernst_Lindemann 2 Mar, 2016 @ 5:13am
Hi,
I just added this mod and was excited to try it out. I nstalled thelibrarys in Honeyside and Hjerim. Im a bit disapointed.
1) I cant imagine that thesefew bookshelves will hold all the books available.
2) When I shelve them with your automic, then loadsof themwill end up in the "extra book chest". Even onesI dont have "extra" In the shelve there was "The Wolfsking Vol 1-6" and in the chest I found Vol VII. So why wasnt it in the shelf?
3) I cant "activate bookshelf" by clicking on it, but have to remove each book extra. And then I can only grab it by "steal". Thus books I got honestly, are now marked as stolen in my inventory, as soon as I take them from the shelf.

kaher44 [UN] 23 Feb, 2016 @ 9:06am
Awesome mods you made here I use both library and blacksmith and so far work perfectly for me. Thanks much for the effort you put into making this for others to share.
Krylenta 17 Jan, 2016 @ 6:57pm
How do i fix this mod to work? it wont show up unless i have the breeze home storage mod working, but they conflict to the point that i cant even make use of your mod. the orb being hidden in the pillar, which is also diferent from yours.
Vic 27 Nov, 2015 @ 12:58am
Thanks for the advice - it's not a big ask for the benefits your mod offers. Keep up the good work.
Bluntaxe  [author] 26 Nov, 2015 @ 10:43pm
@Vic - With the basement, your only option is to pick up everything, leave the basement, change over mods, gift yourself the gold needed to rebuy the basement (using console commands), and refill the basement

As for the library, im afraid theres no way. Sorry, this is one of the unavoidable limitations of modding the game.
Vic 25 Nov, 2015 @ 11:19pm
I use this and Blacksmith's basement. I just bought dragonborn and now have all DLC. How can I change to the all DLC version without losing all of the contents of the basement and library?
Bluntaxe  [author] 13 Nov, 2015 @ 9:50am
The issue with the basement can be fixed. The options menu unside the basement lets you remove that trapdoor, and the nearby spellbook lets you manually place a new one
The Chays 12 Nov, 2015 @ 8:43am
Love this mod, and Blacksmith's Basement so much! Thanks for all the work on them. Starting a new Skyrim game after a while away and updated my housing to TNF, only to find that Breezehome won't play nice with the Library, and the door for Blacksmith's Basement is blocking the stairs down. I wish the house modders would have taken your mods into consideration when planning. :-(
Tuku 23 Oct, 2015 @ 9:42am
Nevermind :( lol I missed a whole door :D carry on nothing to see here ! >.>
Tuku 23 Oct, 2015 @ 9:39am
So I installed both ALL DLC blacksmiths basement and all DLC Scholars Library but when I go to get them added to my house (Breeze home in this case in whiterun) the guy only has the option for scholars library...but when I get back home the trapdoor leads to the Blacksmiths basement and I cant find the library . Help?
Usernamehere 21 Oct, 2015 @ 11:58am
@Bluntaxe Alright, I have a separate storage container for journals, spellbooks, and notes, and I can shelve the DLC books manually on a different bookshelf that I have in my house. (Severin Manor)

By the way this mod is awesome. Especially for a guy who collected all four hundred books in the game.
