for me either this mod or it's dependencies cause texture bugs for modded planets. im not sure if im doing something wrong but modded planets had the standard stone texture only

All of my Interior Walls are turning into Purple small Blocks and I tracked it down to this mod... why would this be?
Mysticlynx 27 Dec, 2018 @ 9:23am
If you have never heard of Gen's Blocks and would like more info I recently put together a fan made guide to cover the basics. Guide to Gen's Materials and Components

Do you have a donation platform? I have put an incredible amount of game time in thanks to your mods and recently have been inspired to create a mod collection to compliment your materials and components mod. I appreciate the time you have put into this content and even though you might not continue mod development for SE I would like to support you.
DeathOnAStick 30 Nov, 2018 @ 7:00pm
well.. glad to hear from you. i wish i knew more about modding. hopefully you find some time or
else someone to replace you. im sure everyone appreciates the time you do spend on this.

In addition to that drama, modding started out as being fun but has become a frustratingly long list of things I wanted to do but couldn’t find the time to dedicate to it. Since I started modding SE, I had a son, who is now 4 and takes up most of my free time. What little I have left, is split between starting up a manufacturing company and playing some new games when I want to chill. The direction I am leaning toward is to pass my mods on to another modder, although at this stage I have not yet found a replacement. Whomever it is will need to be able to dedicate the time to get the next versions working to the plan I already established. (So that I can finally enjoy them 😆).
Hopefully, I’ll have some news this weekend even if it is just a minor fix.

I’m still alive. As some may have guessed I have been under NDA with Keen in the CTG for several years. Due to how toxic the group became as a result of Keen’s management and developer communication, I have had little interest in even patching the client and have taken a hiatus to decide where to go from here.

@DeathOnAStick Still being updated as far as I know though Geneticus seems to have disappeared. Just like everyone modders have lives too so he's probably doing RL related stuff. Wouldn't be too worried that the mod might break currently the only thing borked in this mod is Interior Walls due to outdated CubeBlocks.sbc file.
DeathOnAStick 25 Nov, 2018 @ 6:22pm
updates? is this mod still being worked on? whats happening? thx
requiemfang 13 Nov, 2018 @ 6:35pm
Yep, as I reported before the interior block is bugged atm, you get a small pink textured square. It's the mod not the vanilla game, I tested this by starting a fresh world with no mods installed, interior block appears normally with no issues. put the mod in the mod list and load same world, small pink block appears in place of interior blocks

Is it normal that my hydrogen evaporator uses up all liquid hydrogen immediately? Can't seem to store it till I put bottles in it.
requiemfang 23 Oct, 2018 @ 6:03pm
Makes you wish they'd make up their minds already lol
Geneticus  [author] 23 Oct, 2018 @ 5:46pm
It was deformable, then they made it not deformable, now it's back to the way it was... :(
requiemfang 23 Oct, 2018 @ 4:31pm
Makes me wonder what else in your mods got broken with the new update.
requiemfang 23 Oct, 2018 @ 4:30pm
Hmm new update broke Interior blocks though it could be vanilla related but I thought I'd toss this out there first to you Geneticus seeing as the block has your label on it.

I have some bug fixes ready, but I'm waiting until the next major because of the workshop breaking changes between the public version and current public test version.
requiemfang 18 Oct, 2018 @ 11:16pm
Okay I figured it out lol... wow complete derp on my part forgot that I need to queue up the plates in order to disassemble them >.>
requiemfang 18 Oct, 2018 @ 6:06pm
Don't see any mod in my list that uses titanium. This mod and materials one are near the top of the mod list. Maybe there is some interferance from the better stone mod seeing as I have that placed above your mods although all it does is add new ore types. Only other mod above this is an armor edge and armor scratch remover mod.
Geneticus  [author] 18 Oct, 2018 @ 5:25pm
No. do you have another mod that uses titanium? It could be interfering.
requiemfang 17 Oct, 2018 @ 7:46pm
Hmm is it normal that titanium plates can't be disassembled?
Cak 2 Oct, 2018 @ 9:02pm
I just started playing around with your mods. So far I like the added complexity my only bug(I think) is that the Emergency Refinery won't take Iron, so far I have only gotten ice to go in. It makes it hard to have a small respawn ship with the bare essentials. I also don't see any way to not need two devices to enable recharging H2 and O2. I am trying to upgrade your original respawn ship and it keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Chen 12 Sep, 2018 @ 1:23am
(Please ignore my last comment if you saw it. That bug I had cleared up randomly. We'll just blame Keen. ((Because let's be honest...)))
Loving your mod, though! It's really brought me back into playing Spooce Enginees as I'm always a fan of mods that seek to make creating blocks/items a more intensive task! Can't wait too see what else you decide to put out!
Geneticus  [author] 2 Sep, 2018 @ 9:00am
There are titanium plates that are used in substitution of Heavy blocks. Others take time to model and texture Which I don't have much of.
Tsubasa 1 Sep, 2018 @ 11:37pm
Hello,
Is it possible to have alternative blocks, ie. Blocks that are magnesium alloys, titanium, and/or steel armor like vanilla, to build armor that has different properties? Thank you.
Geneticus  [author] 17 Aug, 2018 @ 6:22pm
This mod is in the process of being replaced so some emergency fixes have changed those original designs.
luftmann 16 Aug, 2018 @ 10:29pm
Ok, thanks.
I read about the He3 out of stone or lunar regolith with your Components and Materials.
Not a problem.
I don't nick pick over details.
This is one of my fav mods and very happy with how it is, despite the minor oversights.
Geneticus  [author] 16 Aug, 2018 @ 6:18pm
I updated the Liquid to gas conversion for H2 by x10.
There is no script in this mod, I found an area in the O2 Evaporator where I forgot to remove the H2 from ice. You might have to remove and replace the block to get it to function correctly. That behavior is also why I have seperate blocksfor each gas...
It shouldn't come from stone at all. I think I had it set up to come from Soil in really tiny amounts. If you want lots of H3 get it from Moon Rock.....
luftmann 16 Aug, 2018 @ 5:03pm
I forgot the add:
Does stone need to be refined through a special refinery to get He3? I'm only getting it through Mineral Ice now, but not through stone with an Elite(Solid) or regular refinery.
luftmann 16 Aug, 2018 @ 2:54pm
@Geneticus
I disabled my O2 tanks and filled the H tanks. I then enabled the O2 Evap and there was no drain.
I'm pretty sure that the H tanks still try to draw O2, but somewhere in the mod script eliminates the O2 once it gets there.

@DarkEternis
How big are your tanks? It didn't take that much to fill the medium tanks that I'm using now(The ones that are still labeled Oxygen). Also, if you have a lot of tanks, it will fill all tanks equally.
Geneticus  [author] 14 Aug, 2018 @ 6:53pm
I was trying to actually make it easier with the last update, apparently my math was backwards. I plan to look at it this weekend.
DarkEternis 14 Aug, 2018 @ 3:25am
heya, been trying out this mod and I like the added items and materials. I am wondering if there is something I missing in the process of filling hydrogen tanks? It seems that the amount of hydrogen bottles that it takes for the evaporator to fill a tank is extraordinary. I was playing for 3 days building up liquid hydrogen and finally built a ship to leave earth and dumped 200k bottles into the tanks and it filled them up like 5%. I have elite gas compressors working around the clock breaking down methane and such. Is is supposed to be that difficult to fill hydrogen tanks or am I missing something?
luftmann 10 Aug, 2018 @ 11:26pm
Well, in any event, I'll leave it in the hands of an expert.
If I get my H2 tanks filled before you find the issue, I'll give you an update.
Thanks.
Geneticus  [author] 10 Aug, 2018 @ 2:56am
hmmm maybe I had my math backwards when I tried to alter how much tank % you get per kg of Liquid O2/H2....
luftmann 10 Aug, 2018 @ 12:11am
Yes, I got that. What I was saying was, it draws in the LO2 and it disappears immediatly even when the O2 tanks are full. But it does not when the H2 tanks are disabled. When H2 tanks are enabled, the LO2 disappears.
Geneticus  [author] 9 Aug, 2018 @ 10:13pm
The Vanilla block becomes the O2 evap so If you remove the Ice it should start pulling Liquid O2 into it. Then you need to build the H2 evap. That is done to prevent people from buleprinting the original block and bypassing the Liquids.
luftmann 9 Aug, 2018 @ 7:12pm
Ok, great. Thank you!
Just a heads up. I noticed with the O2 Evap, and the H2 tanks, that the liquid O2 does not stockpile in the Evap when the H2 tanks are enabled. I suspect that since you're using the O2 tank model, it(Evap) might still want to send the Liq O2 to them, but then "despawns?", for lack of a better term.
I'm also having dificulty finding Aluminum, planets only?
Thanks for your help and this is one of my fav mods. I hope it will expand at your inclination.
Geneticus  [author] 9 Aug, 2018 @ 6:10pm
no it's an experimental sbc file I was experimenting with I forgot to remove. It won't break anything. everything still works.
luftmann 9 Aug, 2018 @ 4:38pm
I keep getting a Critical Mod Error no matter what order combination I put in the list.
I tried to put the "Blocks" above and below the "Comps" and at the top and bottom of the list.
I also have the Planets Ore Mod. Am I missing somthing else?
Auynonymous 1 Jun, 2018 @ 1:28pm
I have a problem that i can't seem to solve... Apperently there is a mod out there that renamed the Oxygen Generator (large) to O2/H2 Generator. I am unable to use the new method of obtaining oxygen (refinery + ice + evaporator) Can anyone tell me what mod did that so i can remove it?
Geneticus  [author] 19 May, 2018 @ 12:16pm
1. It's frustrating because the order should be automatic. The steam SDK is perfectly capable of getting all of the info needed for the game to handle dependencies. This shouldn't be an answer I have to give at all. #KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!
2. It is a simple logic problem involving 3 variables and should be easy to work out.
3. The order has been in the above description for a few years. You could have just looked at the third sentence after the update section....
Babbayega 18 May, 2018 @ 7:02am
ok, again, not trying to be difficut. all i was asking is the order. the correct order as designed by the authors. so in this case what is A, what is B, and what is C. the documentation for an otherwise fantastic set of mods seems to be lacking clarity, or maybe simple instructions.

i know to put them at the top. so, i have a workig order from the other user. no idea if it is the right order or not, but the error is gone.

So Nuff said.
Geneticus  [author] 17 May, 2018 @ 7:09pm
It's quite simple. B is dependent on A and C is dependent on A. Neither B nor C are dependent on each other. Therefore A has to be loaded First. But First/Last is not necessarily the order in the menu since you don't know If the game loads mods from top to bottom or bottom to top. If the Game loads mods top down ABC, or ACB will work. If it loads bottom up BCA or CBA will work. CAB and BAC will cause errors. Errors with Blocks will be immediately noticible, errors with planets will just prevent spawning of ore on planets. But the errors are in the logs. To Figure out which Mod is "A" you look at he dependency, "REQUIRED ITEMS".
Babbayega 17 May, 2018 @ 6:54pm
using the order LD mentioned works. blocks, components, planets.

but dude, your answers are crap, 'dependancy is first or last'. waht i was asking is which one and in what order. its not hard to give a straight answer. lol
Geneticus  [author] 17 May, 2018 @ 6:51pm
The dependency is either first or last. if it in the middle it will error on one or the other.
Babbayega 17 May, 2018 @ 9:23am
i wil ltry that. i was loading materials, blocks, then planets.
Lord Nighthawk 17 May, 2018 @ 12:40am
I belive its blocks, then componants, then planets. i hope that helps :)
Babbayega 16 May, 2018 @ 8:21pm
Sorry, not trying to be difficult.. but i have been tinkering with theorder. still generating a critical error. so exactly which mod in exactly which order?
Geneticus  [author] 16 May, 2018 @ 7:23pm
There is only one dependency for both of the other two mods.. it is either before or after the other two. If its not in right place there is only one other option....
Babbayega 16 May, 2018 @ 2:25pm
Can i get the correct order the three mods are to be loaded in??
