GDI! GDI!
Killian  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 7:47pm
Probably not. CC's well past its prime at this point.

It's been fun and all, but there comes a time to move on. If major bugs crop up and fixes can be put together, I'll fix them, but that'll be all unless inspiration strikes.
Friend of Hats 30 Jun, 2017 @ 3:33pm
Are the Forgotten ever going to be made? That would be lit as fuck
mark0880 8 Jan, 2017 @ 4:03pm
I like how the creater made this and NOD from command and conquer.
Lord Coyote 4 Dec, 2015 @ 6:29pm
Fascinating. I've done some testing since your comment (thanks, by the way) and it appears to work like you say it does. I think the actual range of effect might be smaller than the blue stuff that it emits, since it seems that guys at the extreme edges of the cone, but not entirely outside, can avoid damage. It also deals damage when you pull the trigger, instead of when the visible blast hits, which still throws me off.

When I used it at first I concluded that it did not harm actors (the lack of impact from the blue stuff didn't help), because there were other troops involved and apparently I couldn't tell that it was damaging the bad guys during the fight. Thanks again!
Killian  [author] 2 Dec, 2015 @ 7:40pm
Yep. It deals damage to everything in the cone of effect (except dropped weapons, I think) and eats up chunks of HP as a % based on mass; heavy characters take less damage than light ones. In theory you can destroy dropships but it takes a lot of hits.

Any actor killed by the Banshee is completely and utterly gibbed. Just beware that it'll harm your troops as well as enemies.
Lord Coyote 2 Dec, 2015 @ 7:16pm
Totally love this mod, probably my favorite faction for Cortex Command, and I really appreciate the polish. BoN's a great mod, too, I just happen to be a GDI fan from ages ago.

One question: is the Banshee PSE useful for more than blasting inanimate matter? I don't really have to deal with tiberium when I play, so I've been using it as an expensive but effective digger and just wanted to know if I was missing something.
PYROxSYCO 10 Oct, 2015 @ 11:17pm
Can you add some weapons roster to your photos?
ster 6 Aug, 2015 @ 12:50pm

Killian  [author] 10 Jun, 2015 @ 2:32pm
Small update with some weapon tweaks and an infinite supply of C4 for the GDI Commando.

Don't ask where he keeps it.
DaddyGoat 17 May, 2015 @ 9:54am
awesome, GDI VS BON here we go
Killian  [author] 17 May, 2015 @ 9:53am
It already has it. Make sure your copy of Void Wanderers is up to date.
DaddyGoat 17 May, 2015 @ 9:43am
is this mod ever going to get voidwanderers support?
Killian  [author] 14 May, 2015 @ 4:46am
Then perhaps you'd be so kind as to tell me what you think is in need of balance? I'm not psychic and I just did a major rebalance pass on actor durability.
Sgt.RiceFarmer 13 May, 2015 @ 3:50pm
I think this mod needs some balancing along with the brotherhood
Glizzy Moe 4 May, 2015 @ 7:03pm
This is probably one of my favorite mods. It's fairly balanced and alot of fun.
Killian  [author] 2 May, 2015 @ 9:04am
Most recent update marks the completion of the GDI's actor lineup. Don't forget to check the Change Notes tab!
Killian  [author] 26 Apr, 2015 @ 10:07pm
Things have been a little slow lately, but we're not done yet. In lieu of work on turrets, Major and I are wrapping up the list of GDI actors. Coming up first is the Recon Soldier.

You can read more here [forums.datarealms.com], on the DataRealms forums.

The Recon Soldier will be released alongside the Zone Raider and GDI Commando when they're all set and ready.
xenomega101 20 Apr, 2015 @ 5:29pm
GDI HAD AIR UNITS THAT ATTACK LIKE NOD IN CNC 3 LOVE THIS MOD ADD GDI heli USING CAPS TO GET YOU ATTACETION HAVE A GOOD DAY
Killian  [author] 1 Apr, 2015 @ 9:42am
Belated, but here's how Zone Troopers stack up compared to other actors [i.imgur.com], both from the Brotherhood and from a couple of vanilla factions.

See what I mean about their durability?

Note that the GDI's Recon/Raider/Commando are not implemented yet. They're on our to-do list.
Killian  [author] 26 Mar, 2015 @ 5:57pm
I certainly could, but I'd suggest you try being more careful first. Their arms are capable of absorbing damage that would outright kill many lesser actors, both in terms of wound count and impact forces.
spooky skeleton 26 Mar, 2015 @ 4:03pm
could you make the arms on the zone troopers stronger?
they dont take too many bullets before they loose their arms and become useless
Killian  [author] 25 Mar, 2015 @ 5:55pm
After taking a quick look into it, it looks like the Tiberium mod isn't actually broken (I don't see any Lua errors in the console at least) but it's still very lag-inducing due to the sheer amount of actors/particles it causes.

So I stand self-corrected on that part. But even so, it's not my mod to upload to the workshop.
Killian  [author] 25 Mar, 2015 @ 7:26am
And I won't, because that would be hilariously irresponsible. I don't own the mod, and it's broken. I would inevitably be flooded with complaints and requests to fix it, but I simply don't have the time - assuming the errors are even something simple enough for me to fix. Because I'm not a Lua scripter..
Vurt 25 Mar, 2015 @ 1:00am
i know but i dont know how to download it so im asking arcalane to uploade it to steam workshop
Killian  [author] 24 Mar, 2015 @ 12:21pm
The reason it's laggy is because the scripts are very very old and that's causing them to spew errors into the console. It also means some things might not work as intended.

For now I'm focusing on the GDI/Nod as they are. Fixing the Tiberium mod requires much more complicated scripting work, which is not my area of expertise - I just write the code the game uses and figure out the balance.
Nyx (She/Her) 17 Mar, 2015 @ 8:55pm
@chica 4.5 there was a mod, its on the datarealms forums; it however is out-dated, unsupported and laggy.
Julian Samsquanch 16 Mar, 2015 @ 12:27pm
what no mamooth tank ? XD still great mod man its amazing and keep up the good work
Vurt 15 Mar, 2015 @ 4:00pm

cjman93 12 Mar, 2015 @ 7:55am
Slick mod, uprated.
Tatu 10 Mar, 2015 @ 9:34pm
Thank you man! That's just perfect!
Double uprate!
liquidfeline 9 Mar, 2015 @ 2:35am
Holy shit, this looks good! Kee pit up, Arcalane.

P.S... WHERE THE FUCK ARE OUR OGRYNS AND SoBS!?

just a joke pls dnt kil me. :(
Killian  [author] 8 Mar, 2015 @ 11:09am
An interesting thought. It would likely mean inventing several new weapons (again) and would take time away from improving the existing mods. As it stands, the Brotherhood and GDI lineups have several openings that need to be filled. Whilst this is technically the first release of the GDI, only about half of the planned infantry actors are actually available.
maxhez 8 Mar, 2015 @ 10:22am
So if Scrin are out of the question, what about The Forgotten? There is a lot of infantry based units from Tiberium Sun and Tiberium Twilight, so it could be possible. Or you could just make some original ones yourself?
Killian  [author] 8 Mar, 2015 @ 9:59am
I've just pushed an update which should fix the UL2 file for good. Enjoy!
Killian  [author] 8 Mar, 2015 @ 9:21am
Per the Q&A thread;
"Honestly, I don't think CC would really be able to do the scrin any kind of justice. I'm not really a huge fan of them as a faction either- I mean, their gameplay in C&C3 was kinda fun, but on the whole I think they could have been handled much better post-TS."
Friend of Hats 8 Mar, 2015 @ 9:13am
Damn, looks nice. Will you ever make a Scrin mod?
