So assuming I can play this since I have dragonfall dlc, is this finished?

Can't get it to launch in 2021. A shame, I was looking forward to an overlooked setting.

The guy sends me to explore logan, i do so, speak, go into empty apartments, into a bar where i can't talk to no one. I return to the base just to repeat the same "just woke up" dialogue. I go around, go to university, and the priest there talks like i was sent there to put an antenna by the fixer. I return back, and still the "just woke up dialogue started". What the hell.

I haven't released this for DFDC yet because it's still mostly a work in progress. This alpha version is only available to people with the original SRR with DF expansion verison. I'm using them as my test market ;)
Rammur 20 Jun, 2015 @ 8:07pm
how do i use it if i got dragon fall directors cut or does it automatically go to that?

I really appreciate your content, Scratch. Keep up the good work!
Scratch  [author] 15 Jun, 2015 @ 11:20pm
After latest update the DLC is now 35 MB so may take a minute to dl.. start game, then click content, wait til the 'updating ugc...' disappears, then you should see Shadows of Spokane in the list, click on it, then click Play and it should dump you into the new char screen immediately
Laird Craig 12 Jun, 2015 @ 5:23pm
Hey Scratch I cannot get this game to play. I have the current edition and get the subscription, but when I go to start the game it goes to the original game. help me out... running windows 8.1 btw

Forgot to enable explanation for this in-game, but after Flashback #1 your PC now has a smartphone/mobile device (thanks for this idea, Southwind). Click on PC while not in combat to open it and get jobs from Nomad.

This only works in Logan neighborhood currently, but I'm working on mechanic for installing access points around the city that will let you use mobile device and wifi matrix once you do the access point (usually will have a related subquest to do this).

Known bug: access point should be enabled after Gonzaga quest completed, but it's not right now.. fixing soon
Scratch  [author] 7 Jun, 2015 @ 7:20am
Thanks everybody!

Added:
- Mad Hatter's Nature pack integration
- Memphis Motors integration
- Shadowrun locations UGC integration
- Logan map
- Gonzaga map + story quest
- Hillyard map
- Question hub with lots of in-game info (phonebooth in wifi matrix after Flashback #1)

Notes:
- Thanks content pack authors!! Credits coming later.
- Still working on stealth combat mechanics. In the Gonzaga mission the difficulty may escalate if they hear you use guns as opposed to being stealthy with melee.
- A few other quests and merchants coming soon, they are in this DLC but disabled due to bugs / incomplete dialog
- This may be the last release for SRR. Planning to port over to DFDC soon to utilize new editor features.
- I blame delay on GTA5:PC and Witcher 3.. would be rude not to play these awesome games as much as possible!
- Hoping to finish this before Hong Kong released

Enjoy!

I just found this DLC and am looking forward to playing it this week. I live in Spokane Valley. and I also found this mod by accident. Thanks Scratch!
bise241 21 May, 2015 @ 12:01pm
This looks really funny and cool. I live in Spokane and am a little suprised I found this by accident XD
Scratch  [author] 21 Apr, 2015 @ 10:36pm
I felt like blowing up some zombies so I took a break from writing rad dialog (which is really time consuming!) to throw together a new standalone map (it will soon be incorporated into the game). Check it out! (Click on Shadows of Spokane collection above, and look for "Zombie Nightmare!") Enjoy!
Scratch  [author] 18 Apr, 2015 @ 8:20am
Thanks for the bug report, I'll be fixing that in next update
Mizaroth 18 Apr, 2015 @ 2:16am
awesome, scratch! thanks for this, its a great mod.
Scratch  [author] 17 Apr, 2015 @ 10:56pm
Thanks to all downloaders!

Added a couple screenshots and a map of playable areas around Spokane.

Having fun creating 2 new persistent maps
- Logan neighborhood, including Gonzaga
-- This is where Malaree and Nomad's Repair Shop is based
-- Gonzaga University went bankrupt in 2021 after the entire basketball team spontaneously changed into Orks; now it is dilapidated, and home to the city's poor and some unruly gangers.
-- Introducing a new character: Father Armand, by day a good-natured Catholic Priest, and by night: a powerful vampire.
- Hillyard
-- The residents call it "Hellyard" due to the massive graveyard and ghoul infestation.
-- Originally introduced as a teaser map to showcase triggers and karma grinding features, this will now be part of the core game and will add some more quests.

And starting on 2nd flashback mission which introduces "The Wizard" Erasmus who will also be able to help out magical playable characters after Malaree introduces you.

Coming soon!

so i killed all the guards with devnull and his team in the first flashback scene and it dropped out of combat mode, but i couldnt exit the mission, and no new guards would appear...i suspect because kit never got hit (this was my second play thru after i accepted the bonus mission).
steelcoresoviet 13 Apr, 2015 @ 9:38pm
Well, it's nothing major, no rush.
I only killed four guards, then ran. The problem is after the scene switch to the warehouse, I was still in turn mode.
Scratch  [author] 13 Apr, 2015 @ 9:17pm
Bug fix update released.

Fixes:
- fixed a few typos
- completion status fix
- matrix dimension fixes for IC
- the flashback scene now correctly transfers main character instead of replacing it with DevNull's actor
- the flashback scene now transitions back to the wireless matrix. jack out of the matrix to play sample mission or quit the UGC.

@steelcoresoviet: Thank you for the bug report! Wish I would've read your comment a bit earlier cuz I'm buggin out for tonight. I will look into that turn-based issue for next round of fixes. Do you mean it stays turn-based even after all guards or dead? I enable manual-turn mode when matrix scene starts, but must have a case where it's not disabling.
steelcoresoviet 13 Apr, 2015 @ 8:30pm
On the final scene, things stay turn based. Also, if you ask to play the sample mission, you start with Devnull instead of your runner.

Incremental update #1 released.

Changes:
- fixed publishinfo.json problem (I accidentally published update to a new file, but that was removed and the update now should download for subscribers automatically)
- 3 new scenes
- 1 new flashback mission
- otaku/technomancer preview
- minor prologue dialog fixes & enhancements
- gender neutral balancing (removed masculine-specific pronouns in dialogue and replaced with text expansion functions)

Known issues:
- Autosaving not working correctly in certain scenes
- Transition from flashback to player character is missing, and does not autosave. This means that after next update you may need to replay the flashback mission - this will be fixed asap.

Next update in a few days:
- fixes
- 2 more scenes (with a little more action & freedom for player char)
Scratch  [author] 9 Apr, 2015 @ 6:39pm
@Nexev: Thanks for asking. Yes, I will publish this under DFDC.

Original plan was to finish in SRR first via incremental beta updates, then migrate the project to DFDC, stop all support/bugfixes on the SRR version, and make DFDC version the trunk. I started this before DFDC was out, and didn't realize at the time that owners of SRRDF would get DFDC for free. So now that plan is moot, but I'm still going to wait a bit before porting it over.

Next incremental update is planned for April 14 (after that I might be busy with GTAV:Online for PC for a while). I've already completed (meaning maps, convos, and triggers all done) a few more scenes.

Thank you to everybody who downloaded! Hang in there, this ain't one of those dead projects, I've been putting in the time.

Spoiler alert: the next installment will offer

- new characters
- a parallel story line
- wireless matrix
- a TRS-80
- a couple replayable side missions

WEST SIDE IS BEST SIDE!
Pineapple Pizza 9 Apr, 2015 @ 1:11pm
Will this show up in the directors cut of dragonfall or are people who bought that boned?
magius74 5 Apr, 2015 @ 11:38am
Ha Ha, NP Scratch. Thanks for this Mod.
Scratch  [author] 5 Apr, 2015 @ 11:17am
@magius74 Thanks; corrected. Being a native Eastern Washingtonian myself I know what you mean. <grin>
magius74 5 Apr, 2015 @ 11:04am
As an Eastern Washington Native I just wanted to ask, is Spokane still EAST of Seattle in the Shadowrun Universe? Sorry us East Siders are a bit sensitive about our relative location to Seattle ;)
Banzai_Samurai 5 Apr, 2015 @ 4:10am
More like Shadows of Spookane ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Mournblade 5 Apr, 2015 @ 1:37am
Thanks for that prologue. It was well-written and enjoyable. In fact, it's one of the best story mods for SRR that I've played.
Scratch  [author] 1 Apr, 2015 @ 8:01am
Thanks for the feedback!

I think you will not be disappointed with the next installment, and your reaction to the prologue was exactly what I was aiming for.

Already got a few new maps and chapters nearing completion, hoping for a mid-April release.

Rather than separate downloads I decided to keep building the story in installments, a couple chapters at a time, and will make each installment stable so that I don't have to go back and fix/change stuff in previous installments. This means you should be able to load your saved game and pick up more or less where you left off.

I'm just one dude so I'm cutting corners on map design and lightning to try to focus on tight narrative and a compelling story, as well as some gameplay elements that weren't found in the HBS releases (like stealth and vehicles).

That being said: if there is anybody that enjoyed the style and wants to help with internationalization/translation or map design/lighting, hit me up and we can talk.
steelcoresoviet 24 Mar, 2015 @ 5:15am
While I was rather fond of the Walter Mitty angle, the eventual twist seems interesting enough to expand on. I'd not hesitate to play more. Good writing and detail throughout.

It's a shame to lose all those antagonists in one fell swoop, though...
Scratch  [author] 23 Mar, 2015 @ 9:53pm
Prologue released. It's actually been done for a couple months, and I originally was going to wait until the whole thing was done before publishing, but I got distracted with other projects. I've done lots of writing and iterations of the main story arc and some side missions, still have lots of maps to create, blah blah.. figured I'd release the prologue up through Chapter 1 to see if folks were even into the story. I expect this to be about 1 hour of gameplay, but it's mostly narrative.

If you make it through the narrative you will be rewarded with a sample of one of the replayable missions.

Haven't done anything with magic yet, sorry. You can create a magic character, but no spells in the game yet.
