Maybe 120 Arcani troops with kick ass BEEF ? One out there however OUTDATED !!!! Hope u will . Guys like U and others who make Rome 11 fun. I think Atti-little is ......LACKING for a better WORD !!!!

if you havent already, can you put these units into the general category so we can have 1v1 fights between these units. It would be pretty cool since these units appearance seem to really represent the culture they are from. Thanks

''DeI contains these sorts of units already for the barbarian factions''; I play DeI but don't see any.

DeI contains these sorts of units already for the barbarian factions.

Absolutely that they existed, like dacian falxmen and underrated by CA. Thank you. Could you make DeI compatible ?
Will  [author] 23 Nov, 2015 @ 5:13am
It is not balanced for DeI. But i dont think it will work with it, that mod is a total overhaul.
Jesus Loves You^_^ 23 Nov, 2015 @ 3:21am
Work with DeI ?
Will  [author] 22 Nov, 2015 @ 11:29am
That's down to CA

Thats ok man! Thank you! The sprint doesnt matter. I like the variety. But in the future can you fix the animations?
Will  [author] 21 Nov, 2015 @ 3:12pm
It is an animation problem i cant solve, i want realistic weapon variety, they would use axes and swords, but i have to choose either sword or axe animation, so i went for swords. The sprint is also part of the game.
r_zalan 21 Nov, 2015 @ 1:58pm
They look great! Strong enough units. But some have axe and they use that like a sword. They pierce with the axe. And when they move with other units they stop and after quick sprint again. Can you fix these small problems? Please. By the way good job!!

You're work is simply astonishing.....can't say enough thank you....and searching historical accuracy is just excellent. Now I can tell that the dacian shock troops (falxman) were properly depicted ! In vanilla, a charge from this guys barely kills 4-5 romans line infantry, and after that, start counting the numbers of falxman dropping down continuously without almost any other roman casualties......which in fact is historically incorrect. Ancient sources says after encounter with the dacian falxs, romans change a lot of their armors to cope with this very dangerous weapons.....of course, just you mentioned, this troops had their own (big) weakness: completely lack of armor and so being highly vulnerable to missiles weapons (at least).....
Will  [author] 19 Jun, 2015 @ 6:44am
Barbarians have pretty full rosters so more would be unhistorical i think.
CLYDE 19 Jun, 2015 @ 5:21am
They look great, you should make some more barbarian units.
goat 12 Jun, 2015 @ 11:09am
"I don't think they would have ever been grouped into large official units like in Rome 2, but such extreme risk taking warriors definitely existed."

I suggest you put a limit that can be recruited into one army, to make it more realistic. (Or atleast a toggle option for limit/no limit).
Will  [author] 2 Jun, 2015 @ 11:57am
Yeah, it's unfortunate that the Dacians lack more variety for unarmoued units.
calculus teacher 2 Jun, 2015 @ 11:16am
oh okay. I guess I shouldn't judge units based on their model.
Will  [author] 2 Jun, 2015 @ 11:08am
They look different and they are better, much more wreckless and scary.
calculus teacher 2 Jun, 2015 @ 11:06am
aren't the dacian linebreakers the same thing as falxmen?
bascule 31 May, 2015 @ 1:49pm
@ Panda - not to sound overly scholarly here, but Germanic giant swords would be totally out of place as well as the standard Germanic swords (long sax and Germanic spatha) were only a bit longer than their Roman counterparts (gladius and Roman spatha). Swords that were meant to be wielded with 2 hands were not around before the late middle ages (bastard swords) and about 1500 A.D. (real two-handed swords), respectively.
What you are looking for in an early form of two-handed sword-like weapon would be the Dacian falx / Thrakian Romphaia, which is correctly shown for the Dacian linebreakers.
Pepito, Peasant First Class 1 Apr, 2015 @ 2:16am
this is awesome
Pinny 31 Mar, 2015 @ 3:35pm
Okay, I've always had a thing for berserkers and two handed barbarians.
Will  [author] 31 Mar, 2015 @ 3:32pm
Thank you. I did want two handed swords but unfortunately the only way would be to steal other peoples work as there aren't any in Rome 2 by default.
Pinny 31 Mar, 2015 @ 2:53pm
This Mod looks amazing and I will sub no matter what changes, but 1 thing I personaly would like to see is the Germanic units having instead of a 1 handed and shield, a giant sword.
kingabben 28 Mar, 2015 @ 7:58am
Subbed!
Jesus Loves You^_^ 26 Mar, 2015 @ 8:31am
The concept is awesome; and realistic too...
