All, the mod doesn't seem to be downloading. I plan to upload and rerelease the ENB mods and post them to moddb for download (like I did in the day/night cycle mod).

Hi guys, good news- I've published a Day/Night Cycle ENB, check it out!

Generally it is not. Read before claim and judge: http://enbdev.com/license_en.htm ("You may use and distribute software in commercial or non-commercial purposes.")

It is illegal to redistribute ENB executable, just so you know.

Hmm, unfortunately subscribing doesn't seem to work to download the files still. I'll upload them to a mirror. I have the backups saved.

Terminator, thanks for the info

Ok, this should help: I got ENB generic 0.076 working by adding the "SKIPINTRO" launch parm. Please just upload your old files again. If I look into the mod folder right now, there is only a file called "effects.txt" which seem to work with ENB generic 0.076.

Is there any chance that this mod will work again? I've tried out "Powerful ENB for AOE2HD" but it didn't have much of an effect for me.

does anyone know what directory to look in for the download?

this is my personal opinion however my eyesight may not be that good, but no one needs to listen to me just my opinion

Im sorry but I still could not find a big difference, just small adjustments (hope I spelled that right)
ModPositive  [author] 30 Jul, 2015 @ 10:48pm
Kake Man- did you check the second picture? It's an animated gif to you can see the difference. However, after patch 4.0+, the manual installation procedure needs to be updated since the files are not downloading to the right location. Waiting for the devs to fix...

im sorry but I could find no difference :c

SHARPNESS.
ModPositive  [author] 27 Apr, 2015 @ 10:35pm
@AlcaP0nw3d-
Glad to hear that!

@Pengbumstot-
What resolution do you play the game at? At 1920x1080, I for one can't see every pixel that clearly. To me, it appears that some of the textures in the game look somewhat blurry.

For example, in the animated .GIF I added (2nd picture), take a look at the East Asian castle stairs leading to the entrance. By default, it's hard to make out individual steps, whereas with the ENB, you can see them much more clearly in higher detail.
Pengbumstot 23 Apr, 2015 @ 5:14am
I have to say, I see the idea behind this, but the sharper look also causes me to see each pixel sharper and therefore the whole scene gets a harder look and suffers from aliasing.
For me this destroys the Age of Empires look. The textures and overall LOD just suit the normal look better in my opinion.

I love it!

I have added a .GIF animation to help in viewing the sharpness differences :)

Make sure to click on the .GIF to see a larger, clearer preview!

@ Hiryu and Sir Jasper Trund-
Thanks! I'm glad the mod helped improve AoE2HD for you!

@dancopemanaoe-
I am limited by Steam's preview image size, but if you give the mod a try and turn it on/off in game, I am positive you'll see a difference. Just like Hiryu did below!
Quiche078 17 Apr, 2015 @ 7:34am
I can't see any difference in the screenshots
Sir Jasper Trund 15 Apr, 2015 @ 12:32pm
This mod really improves the look of the game, and even makes those low-res menu screens look a bit better. Feels like a must-have - good job!
Hiryu- 15 Apr, 2015 @ 3:51am
I gave it a try, and this mod really improves the game's graphic. Good job.
ModPositive  [author] 14 Apr, 2015 @ 10:39pm
@T.w² | Chris [Shauni Lover] -

Sharpness is built into the Age of Vibrance mod so it's already there!

@aquaflute-
Try setting some of the GLOBAL settings or EFFECT settings to 0 in the ini file and see if it helps!
Aquaflute 14 Apr, 2015 @ 8:41pm
I see a very big improvement in the graphics. But unfortunately, enabling this mod in game slows everything down tremendously for me. I'll tweak around more to see if I can fix it myself. But if you have any suggestions I'd definiely want it.
ratadjacent 14 Apr, 2015 @ 7:41am
BTW, is it possible to use this with the Age of Vibrance Mod?
ModPositive  [author] 13 Apr, 2015 @ 10:53pm
@ Hiryu and Denis_48- Try the mod in-game I think you'll definitely see a difference by pressing SHIFT + F12 to turn the mod on and off while you're playing!

Steam only allows me to upload preview images of 2 MB maximum size so it's hard to see the full difference with compressed images.
Ozhara 13 Apr, 2015 @ 5:05am
Enlarge the images, the effect is more subtle in this mod, so on smaller images it's difficult to actually see it - but it's defintelly there. :)
Hiryu- 13 Apr, 2015 @ 2:44am
I can't see any differences...
(AF) Denis_48 13 Apr, 2015 @ 1:28am
I don't see any difference!
