Very awesome. did you make the ship bigger in scale to fit everything in ? 342.5m x144.8m x 55.42m divided by 2.5m ( large block size) ?
I have just made a frame box in space 137 long x 58 wide x 22 blocks high to build the ship into and that's still huge.
great work Dimvert.

I mean as an addition to the rotors

How about using merge blocks to connect the Nacelles to the hull? I mean, I dont know how they would be secured at an angle while using a Jump drive or going at "high warp", but once I have a solution for that, I'll wright it in here. Meanwhile someone else may have come up with it!

I dont know if this has been tried but you could try using the safety lock override on the rotors, tho if the warp drive is propelling the ship faster than the 100m/s limit there might not be a way around them breaking off since theres the issue of the ship and nacelles technically being seperate ships, hopefully Keen will resolve this issue in the future....tho having the grid consolidate when safety lock override is enabled might resolve movement issues Maybe Keen should consider this as a feature

Thanks Pancake but I m using the 800% gyros already, Current;y I working on a smaller ship
The USS Odysses to work the bugs out on my warp drive issues its a Nova class A model
like the USS Rhode Island I.m using the blueprints of the Nova Class and making my own modifications.

you can not fix the proble with the warp kill every thing. iv tryed. the only thing i can think of is try to make the warp drive accelerate slower
cjmx21 26 Apr, 2015 @ 4:24pm
you say the ship has mods, can you make a list of them? just for those of us that would make a blueprint for use in our own worlds

Use maglocks to lock join's and small ships.
armored_saint 25 Apr, 2015 @ 5:44pm
great job so far!
dimvert  [author] 24 Apr, 2015 @ 8:48pm
ok,Greyson I will give it a try on my next update, I am also working on a smaller Nova class ship with 8 decks
shel handles like a sports car with 80 units of gyro, this one has about 1200 gyro units and stil rotates at 1 rpm.
Greyson XMG 24 Apr, 2015 @ 4:44pm
it functions like a rotor, but with this ship you could have many of them.. Adds to stability I expect. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=385778606

use merge bocks to make the hinges all hook up to the engine.. More the merrier, and the stronger the link should be.
dimvert  [author] 24 Apr, 2015 @ 2:15am
Any examples where I could find the hinge rotor is use?
astri 23 Apr, 2015 @ 10:15pm
The hinge rotor Greyson XMG mentions I believe is from the mod-Conveyor Hinges by Digi here on Steam
Greyson XMG 23 Apr, 2015 @ 4:15pm
There is a new 'hinge' type rotor. Have about 10 of them all lined up and it might hold together better.

Looks fantastic, Good Job!

Hey - give the guy some slack! He spent a lot of time on this, and I can tell from personal experience that it's extremely difficullt to build realistic scale versions of ships from TV shows and movies. All of the blocks would have really slowed down his computer, throw in all of the mods, and the limitations of the game, and I would say that this is pretty damn amazing. As I said earlier, give the guy a break. He did a good job.
supersquid2000 20 Apr, 2015 @ 10:55am
Well I can say from personal experience, until there is serious work done on compound blocks, it is almost impossible to give the ship a true Star Trek feel because of the limitations of space. Unfortunately, building big enough to cram everything in makes a lumbering, unwieldly vessel that detracts from the overall feel of a Federation Starship. So far this game gives you an option, you can have the outside look right, or the inside.
BlueNexa 20 Apr, 2015 @ 9:45am
On review - The premise of the vessel makes sense, but the scale does not. While I like that you've tried to model each deck, you need to put effort into making them as close to the show as possible, rather than just plain grey corridors. Engineering was the closest to the actual show, but it still lacked. The problem you have is that you've build the whole thing a little too small, meaning that there isn't enough space to build. You should also try and get more detail into what you've built so far, as it honestly just feels empty at the moment.
BlueNexa 20 Apr, 2015 @ 9:31am
I'll test this out.
