just a heads-up that post-Age of Charlemagne, this mod causes the game to fail to start. hope you have time to adjust whatever values are causing the problem, because this mod is awesome!

I've got a problem, for me, it actually increases the upkeep cost everytime I load a campaign. I was at -9000, then it went at - 14000 and then at - 21000. And continues to increse every timeI load a game. So for now I have to deactivate de mod. :/

i compleatly agree. and i love ur mod. sooo helpfull. do u know of any mods that do that? make it the players option to upgrade?

No, just makes it so they are cheaper in upkeep when the do

I could make something that stopped the forced upgrades but it would also mean they could never upgrade period. It's hardcoded like that; might be able to do somerthing in a script to change that but it would be a lot more work then I'm willing to do for a game I don't play much anymore.

That's literally impossible for this mod to do. It's just the main_units table, which has zero entries for mounts or even anything to do with the tactical map. So yeah, it's another mod doing something bad.

Noticed this mod removes horses from my calvary units - possibly interference with another mod? Like the idea though. But I gotta have my cav!

It might, but the AI has a lot of other parameters dictating how it recruits units and such, so I really don't think it'll matter much.

Should definitely be same game compatible, as for interacting with other mods: It should work so long as those mods aren't modifying the main_units table. No custom unit mod should touch that table if they are made properly, and therefore be compatible, but I cannot make any promises about other people's product. As this mod directly modifies each unit's upkeep, these changes will not apply to custom units.

i will play around with this mod, looking how it works with other mods together

the unit replacement súcks - there is a no unit replacement mod, but i read there are problems with it...

your solution looks very promising to me - better units should cost more to train, but not really that more upkeep!
