This is one just a few assets that both train platform works for intercity/generic trains. I wish it was the same for cargo stations.

This mod still works, but instead of the now defuct "Traffic++" dependency, it now needs this mod for the AI's intercity trains to visit the station:

The only problem I have with this asset are, the windows during the day seem bright, almost illuminated. I don't know if some of the newer patches broke something.

The updated station looks very nice. One question though: would you consider extending the platforms to full length? If you don't want to compromise the original design, you could use some narrow wooden or concrete extensions, like you sometimes find them in real life. It's not only about the trains being longer, it's also about the waiting people standing in the rubble, which is also the case with shorter train models.

@R3ign0fD3ath1991: Normally, when a train station gets built, you will immediately have access to the train-line tool, but apparently, this was not the case. I think there might be some mod interfering with it. Can you reproduce the situation in a new game, without any mod loaded? And if your new game goes back to normal without any mod, then you can try enabling only one mod at a time and find the one that causes the problem. It can help us snap the problem.

So I am not sure if this is a bug... but the game is telling me before I can construct train lines I need to build your station?? Even though I have the default station in the game built... is this a bug with your mod?? or is this something else onflicting?

they are suppost to walk over the tracks they do on the real thing. they are just not suppost to step of on the tracks from the trains. they should only walk in the middle where the platform lowers

I do not understand what track is for City roads and what is for incoming. Is it matter to what track connect them or the only request is not to cross them?

OK - did some more testing and investigation.
Now my first Holstebro (which is my central inner city station) works 100% as well, incoming AND outgoing regional traffic.
It seems you have to setup things like this:
1- Regional tracks have to be connected to INNER track
2- Inner city lines MSUT NOT be connected on same track - if so nothing is incoming, just outgoing.
3- After i moved my inner lines to the outside track it work perfect, so it seems the should be kept on seperated tracks, regional always at inner.
Hope this will help other as well .

Plopped a second of these stations as my airport trainstation.
Only connected the inner track yet - to the regional trackline only.
And what happens ? Incoming regionals AND creating outgoing trains to other towns itself as well :)

Thx for info Sims firehouse, i am playing one of the new european biome maps to be able to get the european buildings. I am happy as is - the station is just a beauty and till its 100% working with the regionals i just have placed the ugly vanilla next to it :)

To all:
Because the update is based on a new template, it has a different data ID. The game cannot find an asset with the original data ID, so it appears to be deleted. All you need to do is to re-place the station.
Note: the second track will not align well. You will need to re-connect the second track.

@wastel:
Incoming trains are supposed to work. It depends. But I'm not certain what parameter causes it. In my test region, my regional trains are mostly incoming. I rarely find an outgoing regional train, which is the opposite situation from yours.

First: Big thank for your really nice update.
As far i see her it is producing a lot of outgoing regional trains, all of them starting at the inner track - track 2 will not let them start.
But i cant get any INCOMING regional trains.
Am i doing anything wrong or is this the supposed stauts atm ?

Mine disappeared as well - what a shock, but just replopped, cheched the racks and all running correct again. Lines did NOT got lost. As i understand Sims firehouse the new update brings the ability regional trains - this would be great - will test it and thanx a lot for the super work you did again.

***Because the station tracks were adjusted to fit better between the platforms, the new version cannot be directly plopped in place of the old one. You need to re-connect the 2nd station track (the farther one) for it to function.***

No, you are not doing anything wrong. For now, it is just not updated to include the template features (unlock milestone, tourist stop, etc), but if you really would like to see tourists coming to this station, you can use my patch , which dynamically adds the feature to an old asset.

I presume this is a limitation of the game but Cims walk across the tracks. Could it not be made possible for them to use some sort of underground platform as like the train station in game ? Thanks for the great work on this :)

The outside connection trains with tourists do not stop here (both platforms connected for outside travelers). They just drive on to the next station on the track.

@aubergine18: It's not "compatible", it's integrated into Traffic++ (and so no more needed as single mod), or did I misunderstand that?
