update please!

It wasn't that strong. It was a wooden wall at this time. In the Middle Ages, the walls became stronger.

This mod causes the Gates to be very buggy for me;
The gate bug happens frequently (the gates open and the attackers cant go through even tho theyre open). And everytime attacking infantry attacks the gates (without siege engines, I don't know if it happens with), the gates will open when the attacking infantry starts routing, sometimes the gates will be open and attacking AI can get through and sometimes they will be shut even tho they appear to be open.
You need to update this mod because this makes it unplayable.
I use other mods but they don't cause it and they shouldn't be in conflict at least from what I can tell. I tried deactivating several mods and i changed up the load order, it was always this mod that caused it.

Tier 3 and above stone walls (and lower tiered stone ones like the Romans/Sassanids) I can understand needing a buff to integrity. I don't know if a bunch of unwashed nomads and barbarians should be able to make a dirt and wooden wall that can take the same punishment though.

SUBMOD FOR RADIOUS MOD PLS
Emrys of Ailliau 30 Apr, 2017 @ 11:47am
I may be wrong but i think this mod causes half onager armies to be recruited by the ai
[ҠØƑ] Spruce 15 Dec, 2016 @ 6:38pm
Thanks a lot. Keep up the good work!
[ҠØƑ] Spruce 21 Nov, 2016 @ 3:11pm
Hey, this mod is great, but the changes to the stone towers don't seem to be taking effect. Each standard round from a large onager deals 40% damage to a tower. The changes to the walls are working, and I disabled all other mods when testing this.
Pepe  [author] 8 Jun, 2016 @ 10:51pm
Nope should affect player and AI. AI may have some buffs to siege weapon projectile damage on battle difficulties above "Normal". I tried to resolve this by lowering fire projectile damage in a sub-mod of mine, but it is something that I have never entirely resolved.
Bdk 8 Jun, 2016 @ 9:50pm
Only affect Player?
Pepe  [author] 7 Mar, 2016 @ 12:31pm
Check out tutorials if you are interested however. It really isn't that hard; even the hard stuff, funny enough, is pretty easy compared to how hard it could be. Magnar has some great unit tutorials which can run you through the whole process.
Pepe  [author] 7 Mar, 2016 @ 12:29pm
Sorry, but 1) not really my field of interest (unit creation) and 2) not really befitting of my whole motif of reaslism.
Bob Ross 7 Mar, 2016 @ 3:32am
could you make a unit (swordsman) for the saxons unkillable and insaly strong please ?????
isstivers 5 Mar, 2016 @ 7:09am
FInally! Seiges were getting boring. Now I can actually use those seige towers!
Pepe  [author] 26 Feb, 2016 @ 12:41am
Removed barricades alterations and delegated them to my "Stronger Barricades" mods. Otherwise, may be tweaking siege engine mechanics later on after wall rebalance. Exciting stuff :KneelingBow:

Update will be finished by Saturday. Working on my smaller mods first.

Update
Pepe  [author] 19 Feb, 2016 @ 1:56am
Shameless copy paste from my other mod pages:

This mod is extremely cool! If you turn this mod on in your manager (enable out of date mods!) and your game doesn't crash, then go ahead and bang stuff against walls like crazy. Otherwise, if it does crash your game, let me know and I will update this to a playable level for everyone.

New Stuff:

If it is crashing games (which I literally just about to test) I will release a fix in about two days. IF it doesn't I will release a balancing patch for wooden walls and more in little over a week when I have time to sit down and tweak.

I will be updating soon (now that I am able to relax in my home doing nothing a bit more lately), but this will be to finish balancing the mod, making it DLC functional (I have no clue how AoC works with this in campaign), and to update and add any sort of puns that I feel are needed.

update pls

Update please, I love this mod so much.

Please update this awesome mod if you can. The latest patch broke it.

pls update to work with the latest update

Does anyone know if someone has made a mod that actually enables all factions to build stone walls?
I am so sick and tired of wood/dirt walls.
I relly dont care if it is realistic or not...

Patch notes in change notes.
Pepe  [author] 13 Sep, 2015 @ 2:11am
Should be.
TexanChiss 12 Sep, 2015 @ 5:17pm
Multiplayer compatible if both players use the mod?
Pepe  [author] 6 Aug, 2015 @ 7:05pm
It does buff gates. That is a fair point that I will look into since gates were designed back when torches were a thing and before I made my weaker tower mod. I should readjust them to my other modification to help rams out. Thank you for bringing this up.
Dr. Oz The Great And Powerful 6 Aug, 2015 @ 12:40pm
Does this mod also buff gates? I noticed that, at least with light rams, that each hit only reduces strength by 1 or 2%. If possible, is there any way you could up the ram hits to at least 5% damage per hit? It takes far too long to inch up to 100% even in terms of this mod.
Pepe  [author] 1 Jul, 2015 @ 9:20pm
That siege was EXACTLY why I made this mod. It just made me cry overall.
Thunder Bagel 1 Jul, 2015 @ 8:51pm
This is a great mod. I really wanted the siege of Constantinople to be a rough one and this one delivers that. Thank you
Pepe  [author] 25 Jun, 2015 @ 9:06pm
Should work just fine with the update. Just enable out of date mods.
TexanChiss 25 Jun, 2015 @ 8:01pm
Update?
Emmortael 15 Jun, 2015 @ 11:49am
i tried but its confusing as fuck so i gave up lol
Pepe  [author] 14 Jun, 2015 @ 10:51pm
I do not. I have not yet decided on whether I want to explore modding maps in total war games, or if I would be better suited to explore other more openly moddable games. I just wish CA still allowed us to edit the cai AND the bai.
Emmortael 14 Jun, 2015 @ 2:44pm
do you know how to mod battle maps.... i want a better fort map
Pepe  [author] 4 Jun, 2015 @ 7:53pm
Sooooo the hp was 300000. Now, it is 6000. Anytime. I appreciate the feedback.
shadowborg 4 Jun, 2015 @ 12:08pm
thank you :)
Pepe  [author] 4 Jun, 2015 @ 10:12am
Patch notes:
-barricades should be more realistic now.
Pepe  [author] 4 Jun, 2015 @ 9:25am
Yeah, I will be balancing it down to around 2-3 minute lifespan here very soon. Sort of too much of a barricade as of right now.
shadowborg 4 Jun, 2015 @ 6:14am
maby weaken the barricades a lil more i had 4 tier 3 units attacking a barracade for 10 mins and only 5% damage was done, same when its got 100% fire damage after 15 mins only 8% damage has been done
Pepe  [author] 1 Jun, 2015 @ 6:43pm
Patch Notes:
-Slightly Weakened barricades. Needs further testing.
Pepe  [author] 31 May, 2015 @ 10:28am
Barricade stand-alone and sub-mod for onagers released.
Pepe  [author] 31 May, 2015 @ 9:43am
I know that fire arrows, balls, are those variations were weaker. I just feel that the AI needs the boost since they don't use standard shot ever. Unless modders can figure out battle scripting with what CA has left us. Also, I plan to release several mods for this one aspect that will then lead to a overhaul of sorts. I will be releasing a collection in the future, but sieges are the biggest part, in my opinion, so they should be fun to play.
Jesus Loves You^_^ 31 May, 2015 @ 3:12am
Fireball ammo isn't and weren't more powerfull than standard shot at all. In fact many times they were much less powerfull than standard shot. Only that, the fireball could ignite fires.....for walls this were quite useless, only enemy suppression. So, very good for submod, but I suggest to lower the power not to make it equal. In fact, historically, do you know how to set stones on fire ? Fireball were made from different materials, for example, dried cow dumps mixed with straws and impregnated with some sort of tar........ I don't know how to mod but it think it can be simulate accurately both types.......involving armor piercing, morale, etc...parameters. But, a huge thank you for you being interested in this important game aspect.
Pepe  [author] 30 May, 2015 @ 10:32am
Also, for anyone worried about AI attacking. I have done some testing and the AI have one massive advantage which the player can also exploit. Fireballs do massive damage when compared to standard stone projectiles, so AI can make a breach with 2 or so onagers. I plan to leave this in the base mod to compensate the AI and leave the player to choose which ammo to use, but I will also be releasing a sub-mod (along with a seperate barricade mod) later today to weaken the fireball ammo type. I plan to make it equal to the standard ammo type since I need to compensate the AI anyway.
Jesus Loves You^_^ 30 May, 2015 @ 6:07am
Indeed a very realistic change. From historic and military perspectives, walls in vanilla are a joke. Always I asked myself when such a mod will arrive. Peoples looks only at 5x more hit points which says nothing. But a statement of you clearly say all the (historical) truth: ''Each wall section will require at least 4 large onagers to take down. And they won't have any ammo left over either''.
That's (cvasi)accuracy not fantasie ! Thanks a lot. This mod it's a must.
Rikashey 30 May, 2015 @ 2:10am
Does the AI do escalation? I know that they don't build siege engines so I wonder if they even try waiting out a settlement. My guess is that they won't.
Pepe  [author] 29 May, 2015 @ 10:31pm
You actually need Escalation now to whittle a settlement down. Also, I will be releasing a barricade on here soon. I make mods that fit my particular tastes then release them for like-minded gamers. The sieges I have experienced with this mod have been epic. At least, epic within my particular taste.
