Dude I have been going through the workshop, and the only mods that have even caught my attention are all made by you o.o you must be doing something right xD

Thank you for a very informative & helpful reply William. I will get on to it.
Could make early game much more strategic... from an attacking or defensive view, if all small garrisons have a scorpion for instance. Should be interesting.
Thanks again for yur great mod & advice.

You could do that quite easily, as long as you basic some basic knowledge of how to use Pack File manager to edit the database and make your own pack file. In the pack file Data_Rome2 there is a database called Building_units_allowed_tables, this controls what units are recruitable from which buildings. All you'd have to do is find the ID for the scorpion unit, which will already be somewhere in that list, and create a new row, give it to whichever building you want (its fairly obvious what each building is), make sure it has a new unit key number, and then it will be recruitable from that. You also have to make sure you give it to any buildings that upgrade from that one, or else you lose the ability to recruit it when your building upgrades. So for example if you want to give it to a roman village at T1, you also need to give it to T2 T3 and T4.

Love this mod William. I have had it subscribed since first release.
What I want to do is have the scorpions available from the early game for civilised factions. ie greeks, successors & romans.
This would mean they would all have some light artillery to begin with.
Otherwise it is just a race to get the ballistas then u can back off on artillery.
Any idea if this can be done & how I could achieve it. Advice would be appreciated. Thanks again for a great mod.

I doubled it so that each Scorpion should have the same amount of shots as before.
Jety Wawoo 2 Jul, 2015 @ 6:23pm
Does it also double the ammo?

It is 8 for me on Celtic Scorpions. This mod will conflict with any other mod which has the artillery units in the land_units table which you must have.
Razorhex 20 Jun, 2015 @ 1:09pm
I just got some Celtic Scorpions and the unit size is still 4 each

Let me know what you think of it.

Gonna try this one, I like the unit, but like you said, never worth the unit slot
