Interesting point, I never tried with siege weapons since I use them only manually and than hold fire. In theory it should work for them as well, but I cannot guarantee that they won’t cause friendly fire to some degree.
I don't have 1295 medieval installed but it should work with any mod that doesn’t change this behavior. And if a mod does that than the fix the friendly fire mechanic so it should be fine either way, no crashes should occur with my mod as well, it's very small.

sorry I won't mod anything new at the moment, but in Rome 2 it's not so bad as in Attila it think
Also, would it work alongside mods like sebidee's better battles (slower combat) or 'Simply Slower Combat'. Thanks
I often don't toggle fire at will off, in some constellations it might still be necessary to do so (siege artillery is still better manually controlled).
