This is the best thing to have happened to insurgency since the 'push' game mode.
This complete overhaul brings such a distinct feel to the game that nothing else can come close to.
It is utterly unique. Entirely selfless and now my favourite thing to do with my squad.
Anyone that likes tactical gameplay NEEDS to try this mod.
Not for the faint of heart.

PVP with the community is the most wholesome online experience I've had.
I hope they keep it up.

Have not played in a while and thought I would maybe wait for a new update to try out mod again?
edit I resubscribed to existing version and it is as fun as ever for solo games.

great mod! I jusst wish there was a better way to play the maps solo

I really like this mod ,I am having a lot of fun playing it solo.



I would like some vanilla optics added please so I can use my own reskins/workshop optic downloads in game.

Also would like some more guns added ,maybe some more Smgs (Uzi ,MP40 would be nice) and a couple more Sniper Rifles ,even the Mosin and SKS would be cool.

An angled foregrip and possibly an aimpoint style optic for the operator class would be great IMO. Mod is really awesome just the attachments are a little dated! I notice that the angled foregrip is already on the mk17 sniper, so i believe this wouldn't be too difficult to add!

It scratches that old R6 itch that I'd been waiting for. Would highly recommend, even if it's still in development. The devs are pretty active on their discord, and open to questions, which is rare enough to point out.

This is the fps experience where shooting at a paper target feels challenging and engaging. Best weapon handling and realistic movement I have seen in a fps so far. Would recommend.

To play normal SOLO maps, add:
mp_theater_override operator
to server_solo.cfg inside:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\cfg

To past questions about health of the mod, yeah it's still very much alive. Join the discord to game with the community. Currently we are doing weekly play tests on Saturdays, every week.

@Nullifidian: Operator is a full conversion mod with a huge download. People using the default custom server playlist expect fast connection and DL. It does hurt visibility, but it's more responsible.

Ditch your operator playlist and use default custom one. You would get more players via "custom servers" browser... Having custom playlist is not good without huge followers like maybe sernix, even they not full 24/7 like some default custom playlist.

regarding flashbang, we love the idea, but currently don't intend to make source mod a mandatory part of server set up. If we get some server admins willing to do it, we'd be glad to, but they would probably already implement it themselves as well as subvert a lot of the balance things we have in place.

These player models, as well as all the weapons and most of the attachments, are not directly compatible with Insurgency. We use body groups for all character attachments. This avoids lighting issues and other bugs, like floating helmets and gear that you may see in default Insurgency.

Hello. Do you plan to expand the list of servers? Not very nice to play with ping 200.

Simply subscribe your server to the Operator mod collection and set playlist to operator/coop or operator/pvp. Please join our discord for server help and we'll get you going!

I see you have a scrolling list of available weapons to choose from. How do I increase the weapon list on my server? What file contains this information? I can't find any help on this topic online.

This got me back into Insurgency, it's awesome enough to be a standalone game in my opinion. Keep up the great work.

Please read the guide and you will learn that the aiming difficulty is probably due to you sprinting. Operator uses stamina and is not designed to be easy. Check out the guide and you'll find that you will be able to Operate more tactically.

Operator Beta is completely compatible with Insurgency and should not affect valinna gameplay at all. It only requires the collection of workshop mods, and only comes alive when connected to an Operator server. It should not affect your Insurgency files or other mods at all, so it is safe to subscribe.
