@sinbad does this mod work better with smartercorck pot than craft pot? It seems to me craft and smarterpot do the exact same thing.. Am i wrong or is it more than just an aesthetic reason... I use craft but if it dont work right i will switch to smarterpot.

I finished the values and gave the recipes all default priorities, but can't get the mod to launch properly. I'm basically at the full extent of my coding knowledge so I'll have to just give you the file if you want to figure it out.

Aight, after I finish the values I'll test it and see if the foods need to be added. Can I add you and toss you a link after doing so?

Bear in mind the values will probably need a LOT of tweaking. I love SW a lot but I'm far from an expert on the meta.

Umm, not sure. I changed priorities so that there's never a random food, but then it might be a little messed up with SW.

And for some reason when I do use a twig in the recipe, it doesn't get displayed in the list, but it is working with Smarter Crockpot.

The thing is that Craft Pot utilizes the recipe values of the food, not the product itself, so while you changed the health,hunger and sanity values of honey ham, it would not reflect in the Craft Pot widget and display the vanilla ones instead.

I only had to add this for each crock pot recipe and it worked as intended.

recipes.baconeggs.hunger = x
recipes.baconeggs.health = x
recipes.baconeggs.sanity = x

I guess I'll have to tinker with the SW foods then, I will send you the update when I'm done, sounds good?

Sorry, it's been a while for me since I've used this overhaul (or played DS for that matter), could you please explain me how is this mod not compatible with Craft Pot mod? What does it do?

About the SW, I've bought the SW, but never got into playing it. So I have no idea what foods it has...

I added additional lines as to make the mod compatible with Craft Pot, so now the recipe values match the food values.

I also started adding SW foods but I'm not sure what values to give the foods. Any advice?

Yes, there is a way.
You need to edit the mod files in notepad for that, but make sure you have the mod downloaded and not subscribed, because any edit to the files will be reverted after syncing with Steam.

Hmm, I can't promise you anything at this time, because I'm not playing DS or DST at all these days. I will get back to it 100%, but not right away.

What do you need gunpowder for anyway? :)

It works that way. Its Just i have great need of gunpowder presently because i'm playing a delightful demolitionist character with allot of bomb recipes. Usually takes me 100+ days to get a good farm going and there not viable year round, i also disable pengulls because there assholes and block bases and destroy walls, so i'm painfully short on the eggfront.

Alex tell me, why can't you obtain gunpowder? I didn't remove an option to obtain eggs from a bird. There should be 1 to 3 chance to obtain an egg from the bird when feeding him any food that he eats. Doesn't it work for you that way?

I've tried just taking out the bit in the code concerning the bird cage with out little to no knowledge so that actually worked out ok for removing all of it, but sadly every mod i've found on the workshop concerning bird seed is broken atm except for this one so I tried leaving the bit in about the seeds or taking out the eggs from veggetables with mixed results. Alas I really have no idia what i'm doing and when I didn't crash out right he refused any food.

May you make the eggs from meat an optional configuration? I don't mind it so much usually as i can fill my stomach with out to much trouble usually, and I can jerky monster meat for gold but I need me gunpowder and this is really holding me up for a long time. If there were a way to limit how much meat you could feed him a day that'd be great to or if it had to be jerkied and fresh, what ever so long as I can get my eggs in a timely and reliable manner with out needing a end game farm.

seems cool ,now i do have 1 problem the overhaul makes it so that coocking food gives less hunger-health-sanity boost for some recept then just eating its raw materials,,this makes coockoing useless i'm sorry but thats what it is ,,also why do's cooked meat give no hunger bonus,,makes no cense,,pumpking cooky as a example,,3honey 18.75 hunger+9health,,1pumpking 25hunger+1health thats a total of 43 hunger+10 health no sanity,,now the cooky give's 30hunger,no health+15 sanity,,and this is just 1 example
its cool you make a overhaul but it seems almost for 99% of all items that eating them raw//cooked give's more bonusses then the coocked stuf again making use of the crock pot useless,,sorry i had to say this
acharacters that can only eat meat stuf makes it even harder now exept for those that can eat monster meat "like webber" he gets a bonus in hunger,,when normal meat or morsel has no hunger bonu's,,

On the issue of the crockpot and realism, I had a thought - it's a bit odd that you can use the pot as much as you want with just the coal in the base recipe.
Would it be possible to modify the pot so that you need to fuel it before you can use it?

You can change the values in the main file, although you can't remain subsribed to this mod (you need to make a copy of it) since Steam will redownload it again and change the values back.

Yeah, that's how I would like it in the first place, but maybe some other time.
Regular drop of eggs and possibly feathers just as seen in "Birdcage" mod would be nice.

Well it did lay an egg that day, leghorns are prolific layers, and they need lots of protien to do it. Bugs, lizads, spiders, and non-salty meats that people would eat are ok.

But back to the game: too bad there isn't a 1-2 egg per bird per day option, that would be even more realistic, and give reason to keep multiple birds.

Can't feed birds meat? I guess you have never seen a bad ass leghorn chicken jump up, rip the center meat patty out of a BigMac, and tear into it, eating the whole patty in a few bites. I have. RIP my burger. Chickens are the children of Velociraptors.

well, i always feel as if i am cheating when using gears since you get so much health and sanity back and on top also hunger for something that does not rot at all. AND you improve your stats into insane levels, but i understand your arguement..

Dried meat is actually jerky.

I was thinking about gears, whether they need any tweaks, but then they don't fall into regular food category. They are character specific.
..Maybe I'll do Character Overhaul someday, lol.. (most likely not)

It was really hard for me to understand what were you trying to say, but I think you were pointing out the Meatballs being weak compared to Kabobs.

I was thinking about this a some time ago and I can agree with you.
Although I don't plan to buff it in terms of Sanity or Health, since it's just a basic recipe. Instead I would like to up it's Hunger value, which I wasn't sure what number would it be, since 50 is just too much and 37.5 is too little.

I will most likely make it a special recipe that has 40 Hunger..

I don't really agree with the jerky nerf, and much of the crockpot nerf guts alot of incentives building those two structures, it seem from the gut a lot of net loss for using an improvements. I understand huge nerfs to dragonpie, butter muffins, B&E, even in light of the the no mutiple twig or ice rule.However the meatball is just decent when both depoisoning MM and red shrooms at once, with both of them probably better off in other recipe.

I would like to see meatball if not nudge a bit back up in terms of saitey just as a means of not almost strictly outperformed,in the depoisoning department, by kabobs which at -7.5 hunger(roughly even in terms of the opportunity cost of using a stick instead of a r.shoom or berry) but the difference between using -MM plus 3 plants versus MM plus 2 plant and a stick- is huge because the satiety value from the MM is less valuable then the other parts.

What was based to balance the foods that way?I got which had "less effect", but, for example, a boiled egg should be as good as meat, since protein is also (at least a gem, right?). Good work!
