Well the thing is it doesnt want to start the console in main menu so i have to start something first.

just type "map skyscraper_redux_v1 hunt" from the console and it should take you right to it. No need to go into solo menu or anything.

heres what i do: (tell me if im doing something wrong) i start the game then i choose "solo" and then hardcore coop then i start it with a random map then i choose my kit and open the console and type "map skyscraper_redux_v1 hunt" but then i get some random map and nothing else

I've actually been making a new version of this map for my total conversion mod. All those things you've mentioned have been improved tenfold! :insurgent::SmilingGirl:

Amazing map, although there are two things I'd change when it comes to sound design. First of all while playing hunt mode I can hear bots opening doors as if it's happening right in front of me. The other thing is ambient- or rather the lack of one when a player is outside (on the roof). The ambient there is the same as the one inside. Still, awesome work- I can almost feel kind of nostalgia :D

As for those doors, if I recall they are openable with the 'use' key. They are the spawn for the insurgent team in PVP modes. You can't access them on the coop modes. :insurgent:

Still the best CQC map on the workshop, the updates made it even better, even though I miss the elevator to overwatch position. However I have a bug to report. In the lower levels, there are orange double doors near the armory and rooms with beds. Player can't pass through them, but bots can. Not like it's critical or anything, as the corridor doesn't really lead anywhere.

Thank you for all the hard work, it's a shame very few servers run this map, I enjoy it very much playing solo nonetheless.

It would be cool if you designed a similar map for checkpoint (coop) only where you need to climb a skyscraper from ground to roof. Hunt isn't popular on coop servers.

About to start on an update to overall improve this map, along with the PVP version. I'm going to be improving the visual look of the map, adding improved optimization, modifying the arangement of some of the rooms, and adding new areas to spread out the gameplay, and improving lighting. It's not the map. Go to insurgency in your library, right click and select properties. Within the tabs find 'verify integrity of game cache' and use it. Might fix your problem.

Just so you know, I'm going to be releasing an update in the near future with some major optimizations to the map, as well as a seperate PVP version for the map. I'll have the 'Tactical Operations' gamemodes supported, Firefight, Ambush, and Infiltration.

Hmm there's gotta be a way to tie the foilage entity to the door entity, but like make the foilage entity "hidden", if that makes sense.

Most likely, as the sound is from the player passing through it.

Also a thought came up. What if the foilage entity was slightly raised off the ground. Would it still make the sound when passing over it? :o

Doors are just funky with Insurgency, it's all about workarounds. And I can't change the sound. :/

Ah, I see. But shouldn't the doors already block their LOS? If not, then is it possible to maybe change the ins_foliage entity sounds to a silent sound.

I'm still new to using the the hammer editor, but when I figured out how to make doors, I found other default door sounds that weren't metallic sounding, so maybe I did something different? :\

1. The foliage sounds are from an invisible ins_foliage entity which prevents AI from seeing through the doors, I have yet to find a fix to remove the sound. :o
2. I used the default door sounds, and most of those are for metal doors. Might import custom sounds, but it is a low-priority.
