Id do it but just cant find the will, Id rather wait to start from scratch with some kind of Space Engineers 2.
But it could take some time from now.
Also, perhaps I'll rework the V8 engines models, as they dont seem to accept all colors and textures. So they always appears shiny. Which is actually quite annoying on a madmax / wasteland environment.
I'm also thinking about reversing theses models as I think the most powerful engine should also be the largest one.
Thanks for all.
Its not the same than 3d models or C# sources, which are covered by copyright laws and intellectual property.
However, I consider its far more respectful when you inform the original mod creator that you use his mod as a working base :)
To answer your question, I'll warn Visentiel here when I feel my work ready to be public. Then he will tell me if he wants to integrate it, or if he would prefer it to be a standalone mod, or as a patch dependant from his mod.
I'm sure there would be other players out there who'd be interested in your tweaks to this mod. Have you considered making your modifications as a "patch" mod that still requires this mod? AFAIK, releasing a patch to the public on Workshop should not even require the permission of the mod author. After all, it's only a tiny fraction (if that) of the original and does not contain, say, the images / art resources, etc. Unlike a fork, a patch is a very small thing with some changes to certain values here and there.
The largest in the current line of Wartsila-Sulzer diesel engines is a turbocharged two-stroke low-speed engine, used to power giant supertankers and cargo ships worldwide that run on heavy fuel oil. The largest version is 14-cylinders and is 44.3 feet (13.5m) high and 87.25 feet (25.6m) long, weighs over 2,300 tons and produces 80,080 kW

I like it ! But after some testings I found several things arent adding up. Especially with generators.
For instance, I find that 25MW smallest engine is unbalanced. It would be equivalent to a 33525 HP engine ! (currently submarines nuclear engines are 70MW). Also fuel consumption isn't realistic either.
So I started to add my own petrol engines based on SE 3D models, but using your fuels. Starting with a Diesel small block, about 150KW/200HP, and tweaking the fuel consumption to be more logical. Once this first engine will be balanced, I'll continue with Vortex98 and LPG for small and large blocks versions.
I'll put my tweaks on my own "invisible" mod, superseeding some of your config, as I'll continue to use your mod (*NOT* reuploading!).
If you are interested, I could also come back to you once finished if you want to use my tweaks on your mod.
What do you think ?

Yeah whatever, if you had to wait ages to re-find the mod this is why .... Snowflakes need to be protected by pappy steam.
Thank you for the reply! Though, I am left confused. In the mod description, 2'nd sentence, it says,
Quote, "With this mod you will find a new resource on the asteroids... (snip)"
Dont know about your Q2, i never used those mods and i dont know what they do. Youll need to just find out by yourself =P
Q2: Will ore distribution mods (such as those with "Easy Ore" or "Deep Ore" in the name) mess up the availability of Shale on such planets?
where do you find the shale oil?
if you can thanks!
I checked and the azimuth v8 engines are working perfectly fine.
i have no idea how i managed to make someone angry without even trying, but this was great fun either way.
