I edited AoW_PlayerData.prk.

Love your mod! Quick question... do you remember which file you edited for this? Asking for compatability reasons. I'm not trying to steal the franchise as what you made is overall perfect for my needs.

I got it now. I forgot to check the User Content tab on the launch menu.

That's quite odd, and you have you tried update on the user content page in the launcher?

Okay, so. I'd like to try out this mod, it looks really neat. But I can't seem to download it. For some reason the Workshop content isn't loading into the game. Any suggestions?

I know, right? I worked my brains numb to get this out so I could enjoy a better and bigger selection of colours, and I must say, vermillion is a very fit colour for Draconian Phalanx~

I absolutely love this mod. I have always wanted more vivid colors for my character's Coat of Arms! Thank you so much! :D

Ow thanks :D Did realise I had to activate a content menu. Much appreciated :D

Subscribing should be enough, make sure you downloaded the file and activated it in the user content menu in launcher and also check that you don't have any mods that use AoW_PlayerData.rpk thus overriding this mod.

Do I need to do anything but subscribe for them to appear? I don't see any new options?

Hehe, sometimes I don't even know my own strength~

It is a touch overwhelming in size, but that just shows how much passion and love you have for the game, and Art, well done mate. :greenwizard:

Thank you very much! Gonna look that!

AoW_PlayerData.rpk -> Player Visualization - BackGround and ForeGround for adding and editing coat of arms colours.

As a graphic designer, I'm also an art, color and customization fanatic, but this mod paradoxically really adds "too much" for me to personally really enjoy it.

Would you be kind enough to explain me how did you do to add these colors?
Or at least to give me some indications to where to search exactly?
So I could create my own mod with less colors...

Because I have to admit that I'm a bit lost with these modding tools...

I thought about that and tested for it before release, and only one out of 120 games had similar coat of arms, and that was between two players, and even then it wasn't truly same, but not different enough to tell apart with but a glance.

I'd say the chance is actually quite low, an acceptable trade-off, but that is coming from an art and colour fanatic~

It's a problem, yes, but not nearly as big of a problem as you make it out to be.

Of course, some of this depends on used monitor, colour settings and of course, player's eyes.

I love you too! That's the kind of mod I like, simple but essential.

But... there is one big problem with it however: too much colors look the same, really too much colors look exactly the same, and so, when randomising games, there is too much risk that the coat of arms (and so units and armies) look exactly the same between two or more leaders which would make them difficult to distinguish.

I think that a dozen new really different colors in addition of the original game would really be good enough.

You are quite welcome!

One of these days, I'll figure a way to apply this all to eye, hair and skin colour options.

Oh I love you, thank you so much!
Samurai190  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 2:49am
That was quite mind–numbing to make... but I do so love both colours and options!
