Hi Shroom : this mod should work, be stable and compatible with the latest version of the game, as far as i can tell. Let me know if you encounter any problem with it, anyway, and i'll do my best to fix it quickly.

Can you make it like 2-3 seeds for veggie or 1-2 eggs for meat? I think it is pretty much useless thing, you should add more bonuses to this cage. Just my thoughts.

It certainly does. Although, I'll second a wish for occasional feather drops, since the only mod offering that has been abandoned and is unusable.

But if it's only with seed i guess that my bird cage still offers something since it's for veggies, fruits and meat.

I'm not on the beta branch, but birds do seem to have a % chance to drop a guano when fed seeds (unmodded.)

Bird don't already drop guano as far as i know, but of course, with the update on beta branch, it's possible that a change was done.
For the moment i don't plan any change but i keep your idea in mind :)

I would encourage the idea of this cage being a "luxury bird cage" which makes birds more happy. They could have a chance to give 1-2 eggs and maybe drop their feathers rarely? Just an idea.

Don't birds already drop guano? Is the only difference the chance for 1 more veggie seed?

Here is a little update. You can choose a setting of difficulty for the recipe : easy (as now), normal, and hard. Hard will require all the normal ingredients and two marble.

And the bird in the cage should be awake in cave under the right conditions.

I will probably add a (little) more expensive recipe (with configure option).
The graphic part is too hard for me, sadly.

I like it, steel wool is a pain in the butt ot get so it seems good to me. It's just one more seed anyway

I like the idea, but like wyattarn2000 said it has to be more expensive, it has to be a structure that you would pass on for later, whilst you first use your resources for more pressing matters, as such you would build the normal birdcage and later replace it with this one. Perhaps making this an adjustable feature so people can set it accordingly to their playstyle. As for graphics, it would make more sense if it had two birds or the cage would look "better" than the original, but I don't know anything of creating stuff like this, I'm just reflecting upon the matter. Thanks anyways and nice idea but needs some modification imho.
