It might be conflicting mods though i wouldn't think so. I have it ticked and launched with the mod as i get other spells from different schools. I will check again.

Hi, Joy! I checked once more and I still see the spell and it works. Are you using a game started with the mod? Have you turned the mod on in the launcher? Have you researched it (it's Water Mastery Tier V)? Do you possibly have any conflicting mods?

Hello. I am greatly enjoying this mod but am having a small problem finding the blighted deluge spell. It's not showing. Also Drench the land is still there. Is there any way i can fix this?
Jeined  [author] 4 Jul, 2016 @ 12:31pm
I did consider it, even had a few planned ideas. But then almost lost interest for the game and stopped playing it. And I can't mod a game I don't play, sorry. Maybe some time later.

Out of curiosity, would you ever consider adding (or modifying) any spells from creation and destruction specializations with your mod/s? I for one feel like Destruction can't make up its mind to be magical themed or not - and stuff like quick razing should be a "General" research anyone can take. Id love to see a proper late-tier research for an aoe-style destruction spell to sow havoc, like a "Create Void" or "Obliteration" overworld or in battle spell.

I created a discussion, you can ask your questions there. =)

Dear sir im sure you get asked alot of questions about the spells since ur one of the few modders who makes them i just wanted pitch a spell idea to you to see if its possible. If its is ill get to learning the pfm for this game but id really like to know be for i start.

If you really want to, yes. Just change it to 'instant spell' or something like that. I'm just not sure that two or three spells not becoming half-price would really harm AoM.

So all I would need to do to change these spells to half CP under AoM is change their spell category from 'terraforming' to anything else, right?
Jeined  [author] 2 Nov, 2015 @ 1:14pm
Well, actually, I haven't changed types for water spells (Blighted Deluge and Permafrost, where only the second one is terraforming) and from the others only Earth Barrage is terraforming spell (and Icy Tempest has a completely wrong type 'empire upgrade', ups, will fix this). And I think it makes sense more or less: spamming mountains could be a little too much, even if they are temporary. By the way, don't forget, 50 CP from AoM are still in place. =)
PsychoticSoul 2 Nov, 2015 @ 12:19am
I'm not sure why they shouldn't be spammable. I consider that the purpose of Age of magic - to spam Spells. Maybe not the basic terraform stuff since they don't have cp costs, but the other spells..hrmm.
Jeined  [author] 1 Nov, 2015 @ 2:38am
It's not that weird, I know about it. =) It's because 'terraforming' spells aren't affected by Age of Magic. It's just a label as far as I know and can be used as a slight 'balancing' factor in this case. So it's harder to spam them even with the AoM.

Found something a bit weird with the some of the new spells like recultivate - It's not affected by age of magic, still costs 100 cp/mana.

I think same with earth barrage and some other spells you added. This also seems to affect some other mods that add spells - like the corrupt the source expansion mod.

Agreed magic is cool again!
Jeined  [author] 12 Oct, 2015 @ 2:28pm
No problem! I wanted it for myself, too. =)

Thanks for returning magic to age of wonders :D

Concerning the third part, I'm not sure if I'd make it. An idea was to make one additional spell for all classes (even if they already have one strategical areal spell). But my plans were mostly for temporary fields on a strategic map with different (and probably interesting) effects. It turned out the game doesn't support this at all. (Well, maybe there is a solution, but this is highly improbable and would take a lot of time and research.) So now I don't really have much ideas. Making a new set of instant damage spells with debuffs doesn't feel very inspiring. =(

So for now I plan to add two spells for Creation and Destruction to this part of the mod. Alignment specs probably have enough with their enchantments and T4 summons. Expander, Explorer, Partisan are a little strange and I'm not sure what could be done fot them. So with Creation and Destruction this part would probably be finished.

Thank you for your response! =)
I'm glad you like the effects considering I haven't made any of them but just combined existing effects from the resources. I think of this as temporary until I learn how to use a particle effects editor, but I'm not sure if I would have time to do it.
Concerning gameplay, good that you like the mechanics. =) If anything seems too weak/strong, too cheap/expesive, it would be nice to receive a feedback (though, maybe more than one opinion could be needed).
Yes, I heard of Raise Mountains of the AoW1 (but never have seen it). My version is less powerful as mountains are now passable for all, plus this is a temporary spell. By the way, the initial idea was not raise mountains, only big mounds of earth. =) But making it actual mountains turned out to be the fastest and easiest way. Maybe I'd make a special decoration which has properties of mountains, but looks different. Not sure about it, either.

Great work. Really like the buffs you've given to the Water specialization; especially Auspicious Waters is a much needed and unique buff. And the buffs to Freeze Water and Drench the Lands makes these spells worthwhile, instead of mostly worthless or highly situational. The Earth Barrage is alike to Raise Mountains of previous Age of Wonder games; it really looks amazing to see those mountains form (why haven't the devs added this spell!). Overall, the effects of the new spells are really convincing.

I'm looking forward to your third part of the Revived Magic collection. Any hint of what you plan to change or add to the game next?
