Recently got back into BE and realised that I don't have the mod as a DLC, I have scoured the interwebs and this forum to try and get this mod back - is the download to use it as a DLC around anymore? Because after a game or two without it I am hating all the bugs that were left in BE.

Is it possible to make "Highlight Miasma" disabled by default? It's always enabled everytime you load the game.

I'm using this as a DLC. Is there something I can change in the mod files that would allow it?

Just finished a full playthrough with this mod in 2020 (lol), works perfectly and the most important mod to have.

For anyone curious, I think I figured out what about this mod was causing issues. When playing it as the DLC version, it wasn't loading properly. Simply open up the `UIT_0.CivBePkg` file, and add the line `<Directory>Core</Directory>` above `<Directory>XML</Directory>`. Unfortunately I can't get the SDK to work on my current computer so I can't upload this as an update. Good luck all.

If anyone does still use this mod and discovers anymore issues, please let me know. I think I'd like to get back into supporting this.

Any idea how to change the UI scaling overall? I'm playing in 4K, and I've googled for a fix but the only thing I can find is changing font size, which is just dumb. It ends up overflowing and looks ridiculous. I was looking for a way to increase the UI by like 75-100%. If anyone knows how, please respond.

I hope you can fix this problem. Am sorry to say I have no idea why it nit working with my RT. This mod making some strange problem in the game. it showing some red hex grid and incorrect spacing.

Consider reading about each mod you have that might affect any part of the UI,
if it changes anything in the UI, even a little, chances are it's causing a conflict.

GREAT mod! However I encountered a bug that freezes my current game. I played many games without issues, but now I use more mods: echoes of earth, stronger aliens, artifact helper, diplomatic capital and energy alerts.

In lua.log I found this:

@IphStich - Realize we're over a year removed from the last reply you made here, but I was hoping you could weigh in on a problem I encountered:

Game freezes when I open the diplomacy overview screen. [i.imgur.com]Actually, it's not so much a "freeze" as it is just the UI failing to appear, but I am unable to right click or escape key out of the screen. I can avoid the problem by removing DiplomacyOverview.lua from the Core folder, but it's merely a workaround. Any idea what might have caused the freeze, or what problem(s) might arise from removing said file?

I've tested my mods, and this is the one causing the problems. My scort has all the buttons for one of the city airplanes, and I don't know which buttons do which for the scout.

OK, it's not this mod. I tested all my mos and found out it is a loadout mod but oddly I was able to play two games with those mods with no problems, it wasn't until I added this one that the problem popped up.

isn't the simple clock mod a mod that affect the UI?

If you started having trouble after you started using simple then it means it's one or the other sadly.

Worked fine for 366 turns then after a reload I can't control any units other than clicking with the mouse, the command menu just says out of turns. Started a new game, same thing, disabled this mod and everything works fine again. The only other mods I'm using are all for setup(advanced setup, sponsers, game speeds, world sizes) other than the simple clock.

Ah I see your zip file is missing a few files.

I made now my own installer where everything is working! You do not have to subscribe anymore.

When you install it with the installer I made you can play in Multiplayer and Singleplayer.

I cannot get this mod to work without going through making a single player game via the mods tab on the main menu...
I would love to use it in multiplayer or even in single player without having to go through the mod check list. Is there any way to change this, cause its really annoying...?

Is it possible to make the game center on an unit you click on in the appropriate screen? Finding units all around the map is horrible pain in the ass.

It's most likely a conflict between the two mods as chat block must make changes to some files also changed by this mod and so this one might override chatblock.

I have no idea if it will work, but I'd try using the UI tweak by ûtting it as base game file instead of loading it as a mod and then just load chatblock as a mod, as it might make chatblock overwrite the part of the UI tweak instead of the other way around.

Here is a copy paste of what the author wrote to me on how to put UI tweak as "non-Mod" content:

I'm using this mod for the first time, and am liking it so far. One thing I noticed, though, is that the ChatBlockPlus mod (which I've been using in previous games with no problems) no longer seems to work. I'm getting all those pesky notifications again. I'm wondering whether there's a compatibility issue that you're aware of? Thanks for your thoughts.

@*Crimson-Y I have no knowledge on running other mods online.

The only reason it works for my mod is because of the "UIT_0.CivBePkg" file within the folder. It tells the game to load it up and what to do.

It's really tricky to get DLC type mods to modify the game's data, so to get most mods working as DLC would require overhauls of the entire mod. It's far less tricky with mods that modify the user interface (such as this mod).

I think DLC type mods can work in multiplayer. This one days anyway. So it might be possible to get other mods working online.

I know I've read somewhere it was possible to "cheat" simple interface tweaks to the non-moded games, but I just can't find that post or comment again, if someone knows what's I'm talking about can you help me find it again? It's a great mod that doesn't really justify loosing the archievements.

Upon cursory examination, the following files were updated with the 1.1.2.4035 patch to BE(RT) as relative to the mod.

TradeRouteOverview.lua
TradeRouteOverview.xml

Not really sure what's changed as I have no common base files to do a 3way diff.

@Tvol interesting... Well, I hope you figure it out.

A tip I can give you is to install the SDK and run the lua firetunner while playing the game. If any error message pops up, it'll usually be displayed there, and that'll help you narrow down what might be causing it.

Yeah, definitely some one-off bug on my end. I loaded the problem save without this mod, went forward a turn and saved, then reloaded with the mod active, no problems. Weird. I did some minor fiddling either mods and maybe I buggered the save somehow.

Anyway thanks for the awesome mod.

@IphStich Actually I'm not sure it's your mod anymore. When I tested it, I *seemed* to be this one, because I could delete units with it disabled and couldn't with it enabled. But I just loaded a save and couldn't delete units again, and this mod was disabled. Something strange is going on here.

Unfortunately I already got rid of my saves for that game. To make things more clrearer it is the new screen were you can negotiate your own peace agreement (mostly to get rid of the surrendering their last city into some energy/a technology or nothing at all). Thats the one thats isn't coming up. Clicking on the button to make peace on diplo screen doesn't do anything with this mod/dlc.

I can confirm Darth Demetrius' statement. The new Peace negotiations screen didn't come up when asking for peace. So I was locked into an endless war again :steamsad:. The rest of your mod/dlc worked great. But untill thiss is fixed I turn it off again.
