I tried several maps, and no matter what map i get, i can`t bild on more than maybe 10% of the ground. It`s red everywhere, so i had to uninstall this mod as I spendt all the gametime trying to find somewhere to build. I gave up... to bad because it is beautiful.

Ozhara  [author] 9 Feb, 2020 @ 2:56pm
Right now, the easiest way is to also subscribe to my default mountain mod and giving it a higher load order priority. :)
Unremarkable Anomaly 3 Jun, 2019 @ 12:33pm
is there any way to get these amazing texrues without changing my mountains.. q.q

Is this the latest version? I can't find the eighth edition.
NO FEAR 8 May, 2018 @ 7:46pm
Okay. Thank you, sir
Ozhara  [author] 8 May, 2018 @ 12:30pm
in case of v7 and v8 I would recommend v8 as those two have a very similar style. For older versions - not all of them are completelly up to date, but I'm working on it, so the main difference is their style - if they suit your likings better is up to you. :)
NO FEAR 26 Apr, 2018 @ 5:41am
What should I use v7 or v8, Or an earlier one?
Ozhara  [author] 5 Nov, 2017 @ 11:16pm
For I have multiple replacements for most elements I mod, there is no mod that contains them all.
My expanded terrain packs are the most complete ones though for they contain a replacement for every element I have replacements for beside the berry bushes.
These full/expanded packs are mostly compilations though - so they 'just' sum up chosen replacements that fit together to make using them easier.
While most of these packs actually differ in that they use different styles and approaches for the textures, some are more like real updates.
v7 is a little in between - v8 does contain some larger changes, but it is really similar in its style.
So I would suggest to take a look at v8 too. :)
Don't be affraid of the WIP tag - v8 is mostly finished - I just plan on shuffling the trees a little for better fitting the new RotR trees and maybe give the cliffs a new look to better fit the rock terrain - the rest is done.

This seem like a great mod but I'm confused, you have so many graphic improvement mods out there, is there a single pack that contain it all?
BloodRevanX 11 Oct, 2017 @ 10:02pm
Okay, thank you! Just wanted to make sure.
Ozhara  [author] 11 Oct, 2017 @ 9:47am
no, they all replace the same contents
BloodRevanX 9 Oct, 2017 @ 10:56am
If we get this one, do we need the other various different versions IE VII VIII V5?
Survive 12 Jan, 2017 @ 6:33pm

Ozhara  [author] 3 Jan, 2017 @ 12:46am

Hey Ozhara, great texture mod btw. Do you have a version with a grid overlay that can work with v7?

Makes an old game look like new, love your work, keep it up mate! :D
µ 25 Dec, 2016 @ 11:01pm
Great, thanks!
Ozhara  [author] 25 Dec, 2016 @ 3:18am
I actually made a standalone mod with only the default mines, exactly for this purpose. ;)

Hey, nice textures! Really love the land graphic, though I'd prefer the default gold/stone mines. Do you have something like a standalone version (not in packs) so that I can use the land texture only? Or can I actually disable the gold/stone mines texture by manual?
Ozhara  [author] 15 Nov, 2016 @ 11:54pm
Thanks, great to hear so :D:
Kazuya 15 Nov, 2016 @ 1:37pm

bADsUNDAY 27 Sep, 2016 @ 1:19am
This is my favorit texture pack for AoE2 i love it man! :)
Ozhara  [author] 18 Sep, 2016 @ 2:29am
Partly.^^

I improved my skills while doing all these mods and therefore later versions will profit of that as well as other experiences I got while working on them, but most packs also use sligthly different approaches in style for example.
And since actually updating mods does work again, while including new terrains from fe and ak into my older mods, I also do update them content wise in their own style.
So step by step the other mods will also get more up to date/'better'.
Therefore it mostly depends on your liking what pack to use.
Ozhara  [author] 18 Sep, 2016 @ 2:29am
I know that this gets more difficult the more mods I publish, therefore they all come with a lot of preview screens of mostly the same areas, so you can compare them more easily, especially whern opening them in a browser instead of steam. You can also see in each mods change notes (top right beneath the tags, mod size and release date) when I updated/added what content, so you get a sense of what is actually updated yet and what to expect top be further changd in the future.
Koni Eneo 17 Sep, 2016 @ 6:48pm
Just a question, this pretty much is a better version of what you have done before right?
Ryu 9 Jul, 2016 @ 11:52am

Amazing MOD! Best AOE Modder. Thanks Ozhara
Ozhara  [author] 2 Mar, 2016 @ 7:21am
Thanks a lot! :D:

Great you like my stuff.

The archer bug is due to the animation file containing wrong frames (duplicates, empty ones, too many or something like that).
The animation is created by a set of frames which count is set in the games dat file as well as the speed at which the frames do change. If a frame does show the wrong content or the frames in any way don't fit the animations definition, you'll get such gliches.
This can be easily fixed by adjusting those frames. I'll take a look at it and upload a fixed animation file. Just don't know if I'll be able to do so today.

Hey Ozhara, you did some really nice work! I've been playing AoE since '99 and reallly like what you've done. I wanted to ask if there's an update to this mod that fixes the archer glitch where they disappear/reappear? It only seems to happen to the archer sprite, not crossbowmen or any other unit. It makes them virtually impossible to control. Please advise. And thanks again for great work!
Stubenrocker 19 Feb, 2016 @ 3:11pm
nice one
momomuetze 16 Feb, 2016 @ 12:27pm
thx 4 d great mod ozhara!
Ozhara  [author] 11 Feb, 2016 @ 10:29pm
The \mods folder only contains your own mods, no subscriptions anymore.

Did steam start (and finish) the download? Steam sometimes is a bit laggy at recognizing it actually needs to download/update stuff...
KaZlos 11 Feb, 2016 @ 8:52am
it doesn't work :/
after subscribing and starting the game there are no mods, and folder \mods is clean
Ozhara  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 11:02pm
Hi Saklyes, thanks - I'll take a look at it after work. :)

For now this mod only exists for steam. But all non-terrain components can easily be used/made available for non-steam versions as well.
For the terrains themselve, classic AoE uses another system for implementing them. I'll have to take a look at turtle pack (free tool for AoE graphic file editing) if it is able to convert the terrains back - otherwise this would be a really tricky part. BUT even if it works with turtle pack - in non-HD versions, there are far less colors available (indexed 256 color palette), so they will definatelly be less smooth and detailed.

My small contribution to help teach people speaking this pack. Thank you so much for your job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSF_JQ1CJ-A And i want to know if you have this pack for the people that haven´t aoe2 in steam¿?
Ozhara  [author] 4 Feb, 2016 @ 6:03am
:D:

Hey Ozhara...!

Nun legst du alle Dateien an ihrem normalen Ort ab.

Hello Ozhara...! I need some help from a professional. I would really love to know how to create and publish nods. But for what reason ever I am not abe to find out how it works. Is there a chance to get a guide - English or German language - how I could create and publish such mods. I read you guide, but either I am to stupid or, or, or....! In each case I did hnot found a way because my game seems to look different. There is no chance to get to the Steam Workshop.

Please advise, please help! I'll gladly send you an email if you want. Thanks!

I think it's a great work, it gives the game a smooth look in almost every way and its worth to subscribe.
