Unfortunately, I haven't played SE in a very long time, so the scripts for the AXE may not function anymore. However, it may just need to be recompiled. Go into each of the programmable blocks, and save/recompile each of them. If that doesn't fix it, I'm afraid I can't really help you :(

this thing reminds me of a MAC from halo :D i need this is probably the closest thing to an actual mac that even the mods can't replicate without large amounts of high damage projectiles fired right after the other this has got to be one of if not the best thing i have seen as a mountable weapons system ever

For anyone who missed it (and is subscribed to this thread), cargo ejection is fixed! The AXE is working again :D

You certainly could, though it's largely unnecessary. Actually breaking an ore-bomb covered in heavy armor is extremely difficult. Plus, the AXE is meant to be used in close range. Thus, even if the warhead broke mid-flight, the stone would still get pushed into the target by the gravity from the weapon itself.

You could have a huge shell of light, or heavy armor that can detach right before impact. Kind of like the ones used on rockets as they exit the atmosphere. So you can minimize any damage to the main weapon.

Certainly. Again, this is just a weapon system - you aren't meant to fly it in as-is. It's also very modular, so you can modify it pretty easily. Throw it in a ship with an additional six large reactors, and it will have a range of 400m and still 40gs of shield penetration.

I've never had trouble getting PMWs to hit through defenses. Months ago (before some buffs to heavy armor), I flew one of my old Reapers into a Supernova with all of its turrets active, and there was no loss of damage performance from the Reaper. The thing about turrets is that while they excel at taking out other turrets and fighters, they're really poor at stopping PMWs. While I haven't used this exact weapon in combat (yet!), I have used similar ones to great effect :)

The bigger the ship, the heavier the defense which will certainly outrange you. And the thing with pmws is taht once a single part gets damaged the whole thing loses functionality. It's gonna be quite the challenge firing this thing. If you could make it 800 meters then it would start to be useful in actual combat. But if you do, it's an insta-kill. So this baby is gonna need to be protected underneath at least 1 layer of heavy armor.

Yes, it's devestating. But having to get as close as a few hundred meters to a moving target that's fighting back is gonna be difficult at best, if not impossible.

It truly is a horrifying weapon with the current state of collision physics. I haven't found a "normal" ship that it can't completely disable or obliterate in a single shot.

This is scary as hell! Nicely done! :D

Now make one that burrows to the center of a planet and goes KABOOM. Small yield = instant dwarf city area. Large yield = What planet?
