Yeah that was broken a looooong time ago when OPTRE removed some of their stuff.
Dont use this mission, its very outdated. Pretty sure there are updated ports from other people you can find.

everything spawns in to air and falls in water. There should be Final Dawn ship i guess but its not there.. cant play it :/ what to do

You set both the savegame parameters to delete, pick a slot and spawn in. Upon leaving the lobby the parameters are reset and therefore it will not save them and not delete anything. After deleting the savegame it will not delete it the next time by itself, unless you tell it to as parameters always reset unless they are set in the server.cfg.

Just a quick question to make sure I'm not being stupid, in order to restart the liberation campaign, I would need to go into the parameters, turn on both of the "Wipe Savegame" options, and then just leave the lobby so the params reset. Right? I went in and tested it out so I knew TFAR worked, but I want a completely fresh start for when my friends and I actually start playing

Because its not compatible. You can try disabling the revive script in the parameters, but other than that you cant do much.

So I am trying to run this with ACE but there seems to be conflict, even with the ace compat mod for operation trebuchet. Medical system seems completely broken

Hi, I'm currently making a scenario for an Optre mission, and am having an issue with respawning. I would like to do something similar to how you guys spawn dead friendlies in the frigate hangar, but I am running into some issues that break the immersion of the mission. I was wondering if one of you could PM me with instructions or a process of how you did it. I figured it would be as easy as spawning personnel on an aircraft carrier, but apparently not in this mod.

There's two classname files, one that is original and one for optional mods. If you want to replace the units you have to edit: \scripts\shared\classnames.sqf

If i want to change the buyable units from the desert variant to olive, how the hell do i do that? i know how to change units with the KP libs, but there is no preset section with this mission, is it in the classname config file? and if so what do i need to change?

You need to read the tags. It doesnt say Singleplayer, so you have to host a local server in order to play it.

With luck maybe they'll make it a bit more modular and it'll have defacto support for custom content.

Regardless, once they are done with the re-write I'll probably give it a go.

I know of their rewrite though I don't plan on updating as I currently do not support my Optre content. I may do something in the future but don't get your hopes up.

I'm hoping you plan on updating this for latest KP Liberation version, and eventually in the future for KP Liberation 0.97 as they're doing a complete re-write of Liberation.

If you set the value to override and then put in all vehicles except the marid it wont spawn the marid anymore. The easier solution in this case would be to edit the "classnames.sqf" itself however. Its located in "\scripts\shared". Simply use the searchfunction of your texteditor and mark all marid classnames. Then remove them all (or some) to make it spawn less or not at all anymore.

So I'm enjoying the mission immensely with a small group of friends, and i managed to edit in some other OPTRE content with your help below. One kind of 'issue' im having rn is that the Opfor side uses ALOT of MSE-3 Madrids. I know in the classname_extensions theres sections for vehicles that can spawn as Opfor, so I'm just curious if the change is as simple as switching them to overwrite instead of extend and adding all the vehicles i want for them that should spawn but aren't listed to exclude things like the Madrid?

Yeah, the vanilla (or custom) revive system does not work with ace, if yu can find a way to disable that everything should fix itself

I see so it doesnt work right with ace as it used to do. In that case I can't help you. I never play with ace nor have I any idea about its configuration and since I am not interested in ace what so ever I will not look into it myself. Apart from that my optre content isnt even being maintained anymore. So I'm sorry but you'll have to figure it out on your own.

@luca when i was tryinjg to it had this weird screen affect when i got shot and it woudnt go away until i respawned and my medical stats wouldnt display so could you find a way t make it compat with ACE

The word you are looking for is "Classnames". Simply place all the things you need in the editor.
Mark all->right click->extract/export (or something along those lines)->copy classes to clipboard.
Open an empty text document and press CTRL+V.
You will then have the classes of all spawned & marked Vehicles/Units in there.
And seeing how many people are still playing this conversion I may get back to it, dont take my word on it though.

I know you aren't updating this anymore, and I noticed below that you gave some brief details on how to add the new vehicles that OPTRE has added, but can give you some details on where to find the syntax names for vehicles in OPTRE? Like 0_grizzly_f. Those things. I'm trying to add them myself and this is the part I'm not sure where to find.

No idea, I dont play with ace. Make sure to disable to built in revive system within the parameters and it should work fine I guess.

As for controlling the parameters please refer to this [gist.github.com]if you want to set them permanently. Otherwise you can log-in as admin and set them manually within the lobby, though then the settings will not be saved over restarts.

Just using the modules provided by optre itself to create the "drop room" and its functionality. Then I adjusted to halo jump script from the mission to move you inside of said room instead of dropping you via halo jump.

hey, how did you do the halo drop module, I've done it before but it only brought me into the drop pod, not like what you did in the frigate, where you select the module, selected your location and got in a pod, I would really like to know how you did it, please?
