A nice concept but poorly implemented by CA. This feature almost breaks the Franks campaign in AoC as you are attacked on multiple fronts and your cities are sacked. No idea why would anyone want this feature to be present in the grand campaign, but hey - it's just my opinion.

this mod no longer works :(
Riekopo 7 Nov, 2021 @ 8:42pm

wibblywobblywonder 18 May, 2021 @ 6:31pm
Hey Magnar, I'm the mod leader from Age of Justinian AD555. I'd like permission to use this in our mod. Full credit and a link to this page would be added to our mod page of course. Thank you for your consideration. Cheers

@Sakanade You probably have a mod conflict. My game doesn’t do any of the things that has happened to you in your campaigns. It runs just fine for me.
Gaheku 31 Dec, 2020 @ 5:26pm
This mod completely breaks the game in Vanilla Grand Campaign. The AI is not equipped in the Grand Campaign + Last Roman to deal with War Weariness, every campaign I have played with this mod activated has every single faction splinter off into multiple rebel groups, the entire map is completely covered in separatists and no faction can hold it together to create consolidated armies.
Long-time subscriber, have to unsub from this because it's just too game breaking.

Cool mod, thanks!
Sheph 9 Jan, 2019 @ 8:34pm
It would be very simple to remove WW from Charlemagne through either remove the listeners or reducing the effects bundles to 0. But it seems like a useful function? What are the complaints. I hesitate because I am unsure if the AI can handle it. They already have major problems with food and retaining their kings. This would break the back of the AI unless you can make it only apply to the human. I am making an 10 level imperium mod that may replace the necessity for WW, but I would still like to give WW a try.
Sarumoon 25 Sep, 2018 @ 8:10pm
Oh, I guess not since i just realized half the people here are asking for it.

Maybe one day, i'll check back in a year, i'd love to play AoC one day but not with that nonsense.
Sarumoon 25 Sep, 2018 @ 8:05pm
Is there a mod that removes war weariness form the Charlamagne campaign?
Henk_Naaktgeboren_Credo 11 Sep, 2018 @ 6:48pm
Cant uninstall and cant find file anywhere.
Emmortael 25 Aug, 2018 @ 12:11pm
does war weariness affect the AI??
SayfAlIslam 15 Nov, 2017 @ 1:54pm
it needs to be updated bro
Juvelira 27 Sep, 2017 @ 1:06am
Very good, simple and usefull mod - I love it. It makes playing with WRE and even ErE much harder and challenging - the other factions are not affected since they are too small to be able to lose 10 or 15 battles. With WRE and other mods that make the campaign harder it gets extremely important and difficult to maintain the public order, loyalty and morale of troops - somewaht much more realistic. The wankers that can't play the game and want this feature to be removed from AoC are total retards.
Terciperix 9 Jul, 2017 @ 6:57am
Is there a way to make a mod that would remove this useless and ubalanced feature in AoC. I don't see the point of this game mechanic which basically mean that when you are losing you are going to lose even more and when you win you are going to win even more. I wish they did not put this game breaking mechanic in AoC
Super Mean Agent 13 Apr, 2017 @ 7:29pm
So what is war weariness?
BENNI.RoR 13 Apr, 2017 @ 12:37pm
I know that it is quite ironic to ask this here, but does anyone know if it is possible to remove the war weariness from AoC ? Because in a recent Coop-campaign, a friend of mine is close to ragequitting, because his war weariness is at a constant 50% and he cant do shit about it. Factions randomly declared war on him and he has to decimate his armies like every 2 rounds or so. This makes his experience quite frustrating, so maybe a modder here knows if one could remove the war weariness from the AoC campaign...
Magnar  [author] 1 Mar, 2017 @ 2:04am
not sure but possibly not.
Jakoporeeno 1 Mar, 2017 @ 1:59am
Is this save game compatible?
Magnar  [author] 4 Nov, 2016 @ 11:05am
im not making mini mods for attila anymore sorry
Genghilla the Khun 4 Nov, 2016 @ 10:37am
Can you make a version that removes war weariness for Huns and White Huns? Doesn't seem to fit with their lore and the atmosphere around them in the game.
Super Mean Agent 1 Aug, 2016 @ 9:27pm
what is war weariness mechanic about?
Magnar  [author] 22 Jul, 2016 @ 3:25am
yes you can

Odd fella 25 Jun, 2016 @ 3:06am
All we need now is for this to go into an overhaul mod like Medieval Kingdoms and an "Improved AI" mod.
Jason Wolf 8 Jun, 2016 @ 4:44am
Can I use this with mod overhaulso like Herakleios: War of Three Faiths?
Magnar  [author] 10 Apr, 2016 @ 11:51pm
updated
ivanpera 28 Mar, 2016 @ 10:12am
Since I have recently bought the DLC (which is currently at 3,74 on Humble Bundle, if someone is interested) I will gladly give you the files, if you tell me what you need :)
Also, is this mod incompatible with some types of mods? I haven't been able to see the war weariness message displayed in the mod preview images...
Still, thanks for all the work Magnar!
Magnar  [author] 27 Mar, 2016 @ 3:53am
dlc campaign specific strigns are in their own dlc pack which you only get if you have the dlc. The db stuff is shared and prob doesnt need to be chagned. This mod can most likely be played out of date with the older version of the script but i wont update it until it is actually updated with the script changes from the last patch.
The_Yogi 27 Mar, 2016 @ 3:12am
To be fair, I have no knowledge about scripting whatsoever, but wouldn't the mod work if you just renew the att_start.lua, scripting.lua, and event_feed_strings.loc? I believe you can just make that the newer att_start.lua and scripting.lua load the war_weariness script that you already have?

I observe from your war_weariness.lua, it have references to AoC religions but it works fine when loaded into Grand Campaign scripting? So from that observation I assume this old war_weariness script would work nonetheless?

Of course this potentially make your mod changes any official changes to war weariness value after the latest patch. However, I assume the att_start and scripting.lua do not refer to the war_weariness script in the cha directory but in the main_attila directory, so your own script won't change the war_weariness script in the AoC campaign.
The_Yogi 27 Mar, 2016 @ 3:12am
I'm curious: Isn't all players get complete data, no matter dlc-having or not? Its just locked in-game, but usually the data is accessible otherwise?
MajorEarl12 16 Mar, 2016 @ 5:58pm
Didnt find this mod til now so i cant play with it. However i understand your point for not getting the AoC dlc, all these other people are scrubs. i love you modders as ive tried to mod but cant get any of my mods to work. So seeing mods like this then people insult these modders makes me quite mad. Update this at your pleasure, wish i knew how and what files to send to see this mod updated. But for now i will try to get it to work by playing it out of date. Haters and idiots will be themselves in every communit Magnar. Dont take it to heart.
Magnar  [author] 14 Mar, 2016 @ 7:39am
im not begging any one for anything, i have no interest in getting the dlc at this stage and only made this originally for a friend who requested it. To update it requires someone send the script file for that dlc so that i can use any changes.

Why should I buy the dlc to make the mod if i wont play the dlc? Considering the amount of modding work I've done for thsi community, to be insulted like taht is really out of hand. I could just have easily kept these mods to myself and let you use vanilla, be constructive or stay silent. Your spoiled attitude is neither needed or wanted.
Phizzle 14 Mar, 2016 @ 5:15am
you are really begging people for a $7.50 dlc my dude?
Riekopo 14 Mar, 2016 @ 1:37am
Please update the mod.
AK_Snowbat 12 Mar, 2016 @ 1:04pm

Fire Ze Missiles! 20 Jan, 2016 @ 6:27am
Will this work without AoC installed? I am assuming it won't, but thought I might as well ask.
