unfortunately if people can't be bothered to read a title, then it's really not my problem, normally i'd be happy to redirect people to other builds of mine, but i believe all of my legacy stuff is broken.
Atophy 3 Nov, 2019 @ 8:22pm
@ Grindy Gears You can probably make this one private or hidden in the workshop to keep people from trying to use it :)
Grindy Gears  [author] 2 Nov, 2019 @ 1:04pm
@Dan SEE IMAGE http://puu.sh/EA1Mv/b4f3b9d608.png
and please read the object title... currently and forever broken by keen bugs
Dan 30 Oct, 2019 @ 9:22am
pasting it it self tips itself millions of times to destruction...control are useless
Grindy Gears  [author] 2 Oct, 2019 @ 3:18pm
not trying to be rude here mate, but please read the title:

it's broken and there is nothing I can do to fix it.
Atophy 1 Oct, 2019 @ 7:50pm
Looks cool, but every time I paste this bad boy it starts dancing with clang ! :)

Não funciona, não permite construção

how you can use 2 rotor on the same shaft? i can't do it.
Grindy Gears  [author] 28 Nov, 2016 @ 11:11am
and @lord Tridax, if there wasnt a bug that caused certain blueprints to spawn with detached rotors, it wouldn't be falling apart. nowhere in the build is there an advanced rotor, so i'm not even sure how you came to that conclusion... the central traverse breaks becuase it depends on small to large rotor conversions, and the game doesn't like that.

Besides, this model has been superceeded by this:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=800496206
it will actually spawn in, and should function just fine.

its not broken due to a bug the problem lies within the center point at wich the head connects to the body as you would see if you try to copy it from the clip board it simply spazes and then breaks into 2 at that point however since it is in 2 at that point damage is null therefore take an advanced roter and re attach it then its good.

Cool!
Inq182 13 Jun, 2016 @ 2:14pm
WHY IS THIS THE MOST POPULAR THING ON SE???
SinBad 2 Jun, 2016 @ 1:25am
@aek_ish_82, recent patches have changed the offset heights of rotors, we are still investigating the correct offsets to use to cancel all phantom forces and avoid explosions.
Akedos Theos 22 May, 2016 @ 3:36pm
i need some help. no matter how i spawn it in. it shutters at its center and breaks, as soon as i spawn it in. even in space
SinBad 4 May, 2016 @ 9:59pm
@Ianvulture, you cant stick things on top of suspention wheels anymore (at least i dont think they have let us do it again yet) but wheels on rotors can still be stacked, which is what this uses. Grindy Gears spent a lot of time getting the proportions right and gave me lots of good feedback so i could get the motion control script behaving properly.
Ianvulture 23 Apr, 2016 @ 1:42pm
i also wanted to say as an equipment operator im hella impressed with this. amazing work
Ianvulture 23 Apr, 2016 @ 1:30pm
i see that you have dulie tires but i havent been able to do that on my vehicles, how did you get it to do that ?
SinBad 7 Apr, 2016 @ 4:22pm
@marcel, im currently in the process of moving interstate, but in a few weeks ill be getting back to scripting. ill upload a replacement script with the other industry standard control layout when i get set up again.
Hamque 3 Apr, 2016 @ 1:33pm
i can't seem to get it to drive or rotate at all, the drills work but i can't move them into position

Out of this world! Don't know why I didn't download this before. It's been a while on the top charts. Great work.

How hard would it be to change Boom control to right hand and Dipper arm to left hand?
W-S Boom, W to dip the boom down (first segment) S to raise it up. too Up/Down
Up - Down Stick, Use Up to push the stick out (second segemnt) Down to pull it back in. too W/S
Its what been using in real world for decades and I'm too long in the tooth to learn a new trick. LOL.
Awesome creation , Vanilla too , not bad.
Asher 19 Mar, 2016 @ 10:59pm
thats flippin awsome man totaly trying this out amazing work
Grindy Gears  [author] 17 Mar, 2016 @ 4:23pm
Well, i didn't cap it and thats just what my GPU spit out with all settings maxed out. if i felt like pushing it further I could probably overclock to get to 60.. but not worth frying the card for a bit extra
Shrubbery 17 Mar, 2016 @ 11:51am
It's just unusual, they are usually 60fps or 30fps by default I think.
Grindy Gears  [author] 16 Mar, 2016 @ 4:39pm
@katzen 4 U is that a good thing in this case...?
Shrubbery 16 Mar, 2016 @ 10:13am
Never seen a 50fps youtube video before...

Wait? not recomended for Survival?
THen what the fuck is its use?
Vauxell 12 Mar, 2016 @ 11:03am
man, this is awesome. I'm not sure I wanna play this game anymore. when i see all the possibilities and what I can barely achieve, i think this game just didn't deserve me. great job!
Tom Foolious 11 Mar, 2016 @ 10:00am
@Lauw, wow dude did you really ask that question...idiots I tell ya, idiots eveywhere...
Lauw 10 Mar, 2016 @ 1:48am
Wow great job, this look like pretty good. But do you used mods for did this ? Or just in vanilla ?
[DOLT]Braidedheadman 8 Mar, 2016 @ 7:18am
This looks -amazing- well done! Can I just ask how you got the pistons to attach at both ends, especially where you used dual units? For the life of me, I can't figure this out, they just refuse to snap to my grids, especially planet side, which caused me to pretty much give up on this game as designing can be such a PITA when I can't figure out something that shoudl be so trivially baisc... :(
KWPAllDay 5 Mar, 2016 @ 7:48pm
Cool, but impractical.
Bartimaeus 4 Mar, 2016 @ 8:59am
I struggle to use the ore detector on this .... after I made sure I have ownership of all the blocks ... and switched on the broadcasting via antennas I see the ore indicators on the hud in the cockpit but once I get into remote control to control the excavator I dont see the ore indicators anymore.

Anyone has any clue what's the problem there? is it common or is it only me doing something wrong
Grindy Gears  [author] 27 Feb, 2016 @ 7:59pm
@kvetha it's designed to work in tandem with something that has a collector on it, thats waht the ejectors on the boom are intended for, i had thought to put on a full size connector, but it looked kinda goofy and was prone to causing issues.

@jeremiah good luck with that....
Kvetha 27 Feb, 2016 @ 7:53pm
I think this is absolutely amazing! I have no idea how to do the programming, nor do I think I could have built this. My only critique is the lack of ability to gather the ore mined with this easily. Either that, or I just am not sure how to gather the ore easily. (obviously thinking of survival hopefully one day)
Inferno 27 Feb, 2016 @ 12:05pm
I might be able to fix it.I will post how to fix it in the comments if i can fix it.
ThGaming 26 Feb, 2016 @ 11:06pm

MeatyDoubleSlap 24 Feb, 2016 @ 10:47am

This thing is absolutely amazing, well done!
SpindlierJet0 20 Feb, 2016 @ 7:09pm
im in no rush, and i hear ya on programming, i suck at it as well lol, i love the work you two did on this one :)
Grindy Gears  [author] 20 Feb, 2016 @ 10:36am
@william i'll see what i can do, from design perspective it should be easy, from a programming perspective not so much, unfortunatly i personally suck at scripting and would be unable to build it functionally the same as this unit.

@Lord I gotta be honest friend: this will probably never be suitable as is for survival, far too expensive to build and given the errors it can encounter currently if it went into error tearing the whole thing down for rebuild would be a pain.

@Blacklagoon Sorry to hear about that, i had my (more realistic looking/function) excavator's bucket joint explode... one day we shall have freedom, maybe not this day, but one day :3
blacklagoon 17 Feb, 2016 @ 12:51pm
they need to fix rotors and pistons, my bucketwheel excavator imploded when i loaded my world today
Lord 17 Feb, 2016 @ 10:47am
Devs need to fix all these damn bugs, we need this in survival.
SpindlierJet0 16 Feb, 2016 @ 8:43am
more like tilting up and down, since i know the real thing would be kinda hard, and i was thinking a little bit of both tunnel and strip mining
Grindy Gears  [author] 15 Feb, 2016 @ 10:26am
@william, that would really depend on what you mean by change the angle, just strictly tilt up/down would be little issue having it work like the real thing would be much more difficult.

I'd also inquire as to what exactly it is that you had in mind for its purpose, strip mining you're better of dragging it behind you, for digging a tunnel a dozer wouldn't be effecient.
