Can you add these units to the minor factions? And can you you reskin some of the Byzantine generals so they look more byzatine and not like the other christian factions? Thanks.

Shouldn't the Danes get at least ONE cavalry unit? I am aware they are not a cavalry people, but at least a standard horseman unit should be sufficient.
Overall VERY good mod, and also largely fitting in the historical context!

I love your work with Byzantine mod for AoC but sadly this addition is little too fantasy for me. Elephants, Pavise crossbowmen, horse crossbows for example are just too out of period.

Hi Green and Strange, sure.

I'll probably be coming back to this mod to make some balances/changes to the faction unit compositions. Wanted to be minimalist in what I add. The units added are mainly unique in that they are a special new unit type (eg elephants, axe throwing, horse crossbows, etc) that would spice up the vanilla AoC rosters/campaign.

Have added pike levies to the Franks.

Will maybe look at integrating tsome units to other nonplayable factions with the same culture.

Looking for feedback on stats/cost, but I think they are mostly balanced.

Tested the Frankish Pikemen. The animations and stats match up now, good fix. But their lack of defense now makes them very expensive cannon fodder and inferior in nearly all situations compared to Mounted Spearmen, who cost the same. Perhaps their armor stat should be brought up to Mounted Spearmen level, or their armor model and unit cost brought down to that of the cheap Frankish Spearmen. (sorry if i come across as picky btw, but pikemen are extremely hard to get right in TW games).

I love the Frankish Pikemen and their more realistic shorter pikes (compared to grand campaign pikemen). However, their stats and combat animations suggest they have little shields. But the model itself has none. Result is that they block arrows and swords with bare hands. Badass, but not intended i assume. :)

I believe that the only incompatability would be combat balance (which would be minor).

do these units fairly balance with radious, i know its a tough questions, but roughly you should have some idea if these would be a good edition to a roster + radious' units. <3

Mmm, royal knights for Mercial have no bodies for me. Anyone else? I'd open up the mod file and check what armor piece is messing up but I'm lazy.

is it normal for the enemy archers in AOC to not run away whne every othe runit of them is dead?...seriously I am getting incredible heavy casualties thanks to that bs,..

I found three problems; first, when you click on the camel riders, they say "cavalry", second the officier of the camel unit doesn't has the camel riding animations but the hors riding animations. Third, when you click on the mercenary African Elephants they say indian elephants. Thanks for reading!

The Crossbow Riders of Asturia have a problem. I cant load any battles with them anymore. Maybe the have a conflict with another crossbow unit of my asturia faction (Mod).

It's a cool mod so far, but in my opinion the franks should get an axe-throwing unit as well. They were well known for throwing francisca-axes before charging the enemy lines after all.

1 more thing I forgot to mention is that lombard macemen have very poor armor penetration. Shouldnt maces have good armor penetration (unless they are using wooden clubs that is)? :P

this mod looks like a great addition to the game! Only 1 thing that needs to be changed a little, in my opinion, is unit recruitment costs for some units. I think so of the units are way too cheap, most of em being archers and crossbowmen. Examples: mercian longbowmen have 380 recruitment cost but their worst archers, tier 1 fyrd archers have 380. Another example would be crossbowmen as they have recruitment cost of 220 which is realy cheap for a good unit, even cheaper than tier 1 archers :P. Last unit is mounted crossbowmen which has same recruitment cost as tier 1 jav cav. I think everything else are as good as they are. Anyway good work with this mod.

Will take a while unfortunately. Im waiting on some new models from another modder who will collaborate/contribute to this mod. So just updating current mods here and there for now. Also looking forward to the next DLC announcment (perhaps in February).

did quick tests with the frankish pikes for the kingdom of charlemagne. the unit is listed under spear infantry, not pike infantry. they performed well and suffered a what feels like good amount of casualties in exchange. what i noticed is that the ingame model doesn't fit the unit's armour value, they look more like a 40+ armour unit. maybe strip off some of that armour?

also i feel like the shield model of the pavise crossbowmen for the lombards doesn't blend in well within aoc. they would be the only unit with the what i think is the desert tribesmen shield model. may i suggest changing it to maybe a round shield, so the unit better fits in the already heavy round shield lombards.

i think the camel unit card looks amazing, maybe add a beard to the rider so it distinguish itself more from the berber light cavalry rider. their unit models already have a beard as oppose to the light berber cavalry. that's feedback on a high level though!

I will add guerilla attributes, makes sense since they are supposed to be an elite unit.

A proto-knights generals units for all factions is a good idea.
