i play with this mod and when spawn any mk3 killer going to me but mk3 spawn gunship or other drones, dont come to me..stay very quiet

You should update this, I like the idea of an onslaught of drones coming to mess you up.

I recently made a Reddit post (https://redd.it/7zn4fr) about PvE in Space Engineers including your Cargo Ships mod, and I would like to publish a Spawn Chance Rebalance mod that 'patches' the spawn frequencies to align them with the current vanilla ranges. It will not include any of your assets, only a modified SpawnGroups (and GlobalEvents / RespawnShips if relevant) file, but I wanted to check that you have no objections to me releasing such a 'patch' mod?

@starwolf your mod is causing me to crash a lot when connecting to my dedicated server. But it is not affecting all players. @dark when planets were first introduced the cargo ship feature was disabled because they would crash into planets, so the only way to get them was to go into the sanbox file.They fixed this awhile ago and now its back.

"You NEED to have cargo ships ENABLED by editing the sandbox.sbc file"
Or you can Click on your save from the load menu, and Click EDIT setting...
Advance Options and click the Check box for "Cargo ships" + Drones.
Only Reason to Edit the File is if you manual changed something in the sbc file before. Like the inventory to say x5... as it will reset to x1.. if you edit the advance options.. But chances are if you already edited the files once you already know this..

@grimard when i tested it it didnt appear to work, but the planetary cargo ships mod has good documentation, so i might try and implement the two together,although i dont know if i would be allowed to distribute it if it did work.

I have an issue with that mod only attacking the host of the world. The drones should attack all players in my world not just me.

Since Keen "fixed" cargo ships, this mod has been sketchy at best. Without another spawn mechanic to hook into it's unlikely that they will attack you on the surface of a planet (cargo ships no longer spawn within a certain radius of a gravity well).

Just curious if this mod overwrites all other spawns of ships as I've only seen the hunter killer Mk III and the atmospheric attacker drone? Not sure if these are the only two or if i'm just unlucky

I am not sure what i'm missing with this mod it just doesn't seem to activate at all, i have cargo ships enabled in the world's settings is that a different setting to the one in the actual save file itself? and how do i tell if this is working i thought it just hadnt spawned yet but been building my base on mars for 10 hours now surly something should have happened?

@Starwolf is this mod setup only to attack the host of surivivla worlds? I am hosting a group surivial worls, but the drones only spawn on my location. They do not hunt down any of the other players. Also i have not see any drones spawn on planets only in space.

I am also having problems with this mod on a new world i created. On my other old world it works fine, but in a new world all the hunter drones do is spawn fly about 1km from my ship and stop. Once in a while it will spawn a drone or 2, but most of the time they spawn in fly to my ship and stop 1km away.

So just to make sure I'm understaning earlier comments correctly: This mod won't spawn anything when in a large gravity well, but if I get far enough away from any planet (even on Solar System or Easy Earth/etc starts), it will spawn in space as normal?

Just want to make sure I understand, as I've heard conflicting info from others about NPC ship spawning in Solar System starts, regardless of being near a gravity well or not.

I originally made this mod strictly with survival in mind. Once work slows down abit I'll check scripts and update it so it works for everyone. I've been unable to reproduce problems so far.

I know the egg shaped thing still spawns and will sit about 1.5km away, shortly after a 2nd and 3rd show up, and then they blow up after some time pass I increased the max drone count on the server to 20, and still only 3 spawn

They are in the gravity well and the drone could fly down or up if you could get them to spawn from the player respawn points

I noticed in space they never spawn combat drones, they just fly in and sit never spawning a thing and then they vanish with a boom, now dose this completely also stop normal spawning of drones?

this won't affect those spawns at all. Antannae based spawns work just like they did before.

It should work for space/Moons but nothing will spawn while on a planet's surface due to size of gravity well. Since they fixed cargo ships to no longer spawn with planets there's no spawn mechanic to hook into.

No unfortunately. In space/moon enviroments it could probably work, but large gravity wells won't allow cargo ships to spawn, which is the mechanic this mod piggybacks on. If keen ever gives us control of conditional spawning I'll be more than happy to update it.

Already had a full star wars version done before Rexxar "fixed" the mechanics for cargo ships. Honestly wish there was an option to turn off the "no spawn" radius for celestial bodies.

It used to, but since keen changed the way that cargo ships spawn (no longer within a gravity well) and no other spawn mechanic I can piggy back to at the moment, no.

No, since the update where Rexxar actually fixed cargo ships they no longer spawn near enough to the planets to chase you into the gravity well. I'll look into it when I have time, but it will most likely be a total rewrite. You can get the space-based attacking to work, but it takes more doing and you'll have to run it locally.

@MeatloafBomb You can extract the mod locally and edit the PirateAntennas.sbc and change the spawn times for a more rapid spawn (for instance in space the spawn time is 128000 ms)

Either that or you can edit the spawngroups.sbc and add a custom group, then tie that group into an antenna.

Last thing I was working on was a small squadron of fighters that had a small chance of spawning in formation. Keen's lack of movement on improving dedicated server issues kinda put things on hold. Waiting for the next couple of patches to see how "stable" the stable releases are.
