@fulcrum

The max fame increase may still be in the pack, I only remember reverting the max character level change. The max fame increase is also known to break multiplayer.

I doubt this will ever be updated again, so if you're looking for multiplayer options, I believe this is still functional:

This mod merge, even when loaded on its own, crashes the host game during multiplayer as soon as the first guest connects :(

@Draco
Hey, thank you for putting it all together! It's a great pack in general.

There's a few things I'd love to update (more bugs creeping up here and there over time), but unfortunately I no longer have the time to playtest as much as I used to. Regardless, it's always awesome to the mod community continue to truck along!

Thank you A Cat for making this version for players. I have for now retired from torchlight two modding. Glad to see versions of my mod projects people can use.

Just to clarify for any who wander in, LAO III should also work just fine. However, keep in mind that this pack is starting to look a bit outdated (as are the mods its based off of), and there are other options (and modpacks) out there that do similar things, and likely in a more well-balanced manner. Don't be shy, shop around!

Ah many thanks
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 27. maj 2016 kl. 10:09
If you do want to run base LAO2.0 AND Nerf together, you can get a merged version of Enhanced Retex from this link:
http://www.runicgamesfansite.com/vbdownloads.php?do=download&downloadid=382

Make sure you use the second mirror, the Steam specific version. :P
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 27. maj 2016 kl. 10:07
When used by itself, all LAO2.0 Nerf does is adjust the affix system as described above. Basically, unique items have fewer stronger effects, rare and magic items have a larger, wider list of inndividually weaker values.

The full version of LAO2.0 includes a bunch of new affixes and modifications to items. All Nerf is doing is changing how affixes are appearing on items, regardless of where those affixes come from. It is technically an addon to the base mod, but functions perfectly well without it.
Ethan Bond 27. maj 2016 kl. 6:05
Odd question im a bit new to all this but I am running the exact load order setup including LAO 2.0 Nerf but the nerf says its an addon to the original mod and should be loaded above it however I am at the "10 mod limit" so I am not sure if the mod is doing anything.

Glad to hear it!

Hey man! Thanks alot! Its working now! LOVE IT!
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 25. apr. 2016 kl. 23:59
A www. .. hopefully it won't come to that.

Don't forget that TL2's config files I'm pretty sure are saved on the cloud, it may have something to do with his configuration. You can try disabling the cloud saving on TL2 (right click, properties, Updates tab, Steam Cloud at the bottom), close Steam completely, then go to "My Documents\my games\Runic Games\torchlight 2" and delete the "local_settings.txt" file. When you start Steam again and run the game, it should rebuild the settings file from scratch.

Good luck!
WarraFak 25. apr. 2016 kl. 23:09
thanks for the quick reply. Mr.Chubby is my friend, he is reinstalling TL2 because the vanilla game itself is crashing. if that still doesn't work imma ask him to delete all his saves.
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 25. apr. 2016 kl. 12:27
@Mr.Chubby
There isn't much I can do other than give some advice.

Try modding from the "bottom up". By that, I mean start with the Additional Classes mod. Start a new character just for testing. Does the game load? If yes, exit out and add just SynergiesMOD. Load that test character. Does it work? Repeat with the Synergies TL2 Essentials, test again. Repeat until you have the entire list loaded and that test character seems to be working.

If you get that far, then load your old character. If the character still doesn't load, it may be corrupted. It's unfortunate, but that happens sometimes even with the vanilla game.
Chubby 25. apr. 2016 kl. 11:02
Hi,

Would like to ask, I downloaded everything and followed your loadout. But, my game keeps crashing during loading screen. Why is that? Any help? :(
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 24. apr. 2016 kl. 12:42
Hahaha, yeah. Some classes and some builds just do better than others. It can also depend on getting lucky with gear. It can be frustrating when a character isn't performing the way you hoped, but don't forget your shared stash! Sometimes things you pick up on new characters may end up being upgrades to previous ones.
FCOK 24. apr. 2016 kl. 11:15
Thanks for the answer. I started a templar just after the post and at lvl 15 im already doing 3x more damage than my ninja in lvl 50. Lets see what it will give at the end. problem is the defense but i think it might do... lol
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 24. apr. 2016 kl. 9:51
@nunoaguiar2
TL2 is no longer a walk in the park with this. The mod is certainly responsible for that, no denying it. All variations of it boost bosses to be much stronger than previously. It IS possible to beat him (I did) but it'll probably come down to as much luck as skill. It may also help to bring a friend along, but that's obviously only if you have someone else also playing the mod.

More experience and gear may also help. You can reset the world by loading your character in LAN (which provides all of the options of going Online) and selecting the Reroll World option, and then you can go slaughter more things. You can keep doing that as many times as necessary until you think you're strong enough to try again. Good luck!
FCOK 24. apr. 2016 kl. 8:07
Hi guys, i started playing this mod no tlong ago and im with a ninja playing elite for a bit more fun.
Till now everything was going ok, some deaths, good gameplay and all but sudently... The netherlord!!! He kills me in 1 hit.

Till here all was good but trying to kil the netherlord after his 1st transfrmation without getting hit its kind of impossible. ANY toughts?

Thx

@Mski.RagingApple
Hey, no problem! And yeah, some mods can be tricky at times. While somewhat unrelated to your issue, at one point in time there was a mysterious conflict between Synergies and TL2 Essentials, in that when played solo offline they worked just fine together, but in multiplayer they would cause crashes and sync issues. I remember specifically reading that the two authors had talked and tried to work it out, but they were clueless as to what was actually causing the issue. Obviously it's been fixed now but I think it required a rather large rewrite of TL2E to get it working properly, hence the Synergies-specific version.

Regardless, sometimes you end up with weird issues that you just can't track down. I'm actually having that issue with the Apocalypse remake I've been trying to do. I feel like I've missed something, but it could just be reliable old TL2 doing its thing. :P
Kateful 10. apr. 2016 kl. 23:18
@A Cat Ah! Thanks for the clear explanation. As of now i've got most of the mods working just fine, except for one mod which is the BagMod. I have already put the BagMod to my compilation of mods but it seems that it doesn't work. So i just dropped it and gave it a shot on just the other mods. The real problem was that i can't identify the real problem from the fake problem that is being popped up by TC2. Anyways thanks for the help and have a fantastic day :steamhappy::steamhappy:
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2016 kl. 23:09
@Mski.RagingApple
And just to clarify, as far as I know it does this so people can play in multiplayer together with the same mods. It's easier to just check for a mod ID number than it is to inspect every single file for consistency.
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2016 kl. 23:08
@Mski.RagingApple
That's exactly right. Each new mod is given its own ID, which is also the URL/address that Steam uses to identify it. So say you download mod "500", then download mod "600". You make a character with those mods loaded, and IDs 500 and 600 are then saved with that character. If you later decide to combine those mods into a new single mod, it won't have an ID of 500 or 600, it'll have something entirely different. Say, 700.

Since your character's save game was made with 500 and 600, and you're now trying to load 700, even though the content contained inside the mod may be the same, TL2 will tell you that you have the wrong mods installed/activated and prompt you to fix the "problem". As far as I know, there's no way to change that, and there's no way to force your compilation to use a different mod's ID either.
Kateful 10. apr. 2016 kl. 22:39
@A Cat How do you exactly change the value for the mod ID? And what do you mean by wont accept the new compilation? Do you mean that when i load the new compilation and used the non compiled save game it won't work? Thanks for replying btw :)
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2016 kl. 22:33
@Mski.RagingApple
I'm not sure what the problem you have is, specifically.

1.) If it has to do with trying to combine mods to reduce your load order:
Save files are attaching themselves to a mod ID (for instance, in this mod's case, 602430587), so when you recompile a collection of mods you change the value. While the content may still exist inside the mods you combined and compiled, TL2 is specifically looking for the IDs connected to that save game, so it won't accept the new compilation.

2.) If it has to do with compiling and uploading:
Unfortunately there isn't much I can help you with on that end. GUTS has a few issues when compiling/uploading mods it seems, it took me 3 or 4 tries to get this one compiled and uploaded properly. Just gotta keep at it!
Kateful 10. apr. 2016 kl. 22:19
@A Cat Hey, i've been having problems with compiling mods for myself. But it seems that when i load the compiled mods it always have something missing from the individual mods. Appreciate it if you reply :D.

@NikiNet
Little too late for a correction to my post, left out an "issues" in there! :P
Good luck figuring it out! I had some issues with that a long time ago. Here's the list of ports necessary, the last I saw. You know, in case you need them: https://support.runicgames.com/kb/articles/27-network-port-requirements
NikiNet 13. mar. 2016 kl. 15:22
@A Cat
We all have a steam version. Vanilla game is working good, and i think this is PORT issue. I hate this. I need to try open router ports. Thanks for help, we will try all)
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 13. mar. 2016 kl. 9:14
@Nikinet (part 2)
If your internet game list isn't populating at all? That could mean you're having firewall or port forwarding. That's not something I can really help with. I would suggest you and your friend testing with a vanilla (no mods) game first, then a simple modded version (say, the texture pack), checking each time to make sure you can connect to each other.

-----
@PSNick
Well what do you know, neat! Thank you, I appreciate the link! Though, a quick correction on that, this repack is technically making the game HARDER rather than easier since you have less skill points to spend. :P I'm still working on some rebalancing stuff in the background, when I get the time, still hoping I can make a version of Apocolypse scaled under 100.
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 13. mar. 2016 kl. 9:14
@Nikinet
Unfortunately, something that vague is difficult to test for. Are both of you using the same version (Steam vs Retail)? Are you both using the EXACT same mod loadout, in the same load order? Did you both start the game using the "Launch with Mods" option?

In the Internet screen there's a little section at the top with current online mod configurations [i.gyazo.com] of users playing custom games. If one of you starts a new game the mod config should show up in that list, which you can hover your mouse over to see. That would tell you if one of you is out of sync, mod-wise. One of you can click on that loadout (if you're out of sync) and you'll get a wrench icon [i.gyazo.com], which allows you to restart your game using the exact same mod setup.
Nick 13. mar. 2016 kl. 4:22
Great job on this one, thanks for the update! I'm still without a PC and just saw how many messages there were on my steam account due to the pack. I'll add a note on my repackto redirect people here.

Cheers!
Nick
NikiNet 13. mar. 2016 kl. 3:01
Hi. We, with my friend wants to play, but if we try it with MODS, any mods or any one mod, we can't connect, no JOIN button and can't see game in lobby, or see through the SHOW GAME button. Game is licensed, but what is the trouble you think, guys?
Thx.
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2016 kl. 22:36
If you need more mod slot space, the second mirror on the following link has a full merged version of enhanced retex for steam. I don't believe there's been any content changes since that file was posted, just non-windows platform compatibility.

http://www.runicgamesfansite.com/vbdownloads.php?do=download&downloadid=382
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2016 kl. 22:32
Yup, exactly as how it's listed there.
macapinlacc 28. feb. 2016 kl. 21:52
So your load order has LAO nerf without any full version?
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2016 kl. 20:34
For its full effects it does. Using it without LAO will pretty much only adjust affixes applied to items. I should probably explain that better in the description.
macapinlacc 28. feb. 2016 kl. 16:25
doesn't LAO 2.0 nerf addon require LAO 2.0. I tried to copy your loadorder but adding LAO 2.0 exceeds 10 mods.
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2016 kl. 11:30
That. The engine trips over itself regardless of what you have installed. Increasing the amount that it has to deal with at once (which Synergies does quite often with all the monster effects and multi-projectile spells and whatever else it's firing off) just exacerbates the issue and makes it even more likely. A mod pack like this doesn't add much, so you'll be dealing with the usual problems.

If you're playing over LAN (as in in the same building, not using a VPN) the issue can still crop up, particularly if you're wireless. TL2 doesn't do much to try and recover afterwards, so yes, what Psykrom suggested. The person who tends to desync (which I believe should be the client, not the host) should go first through zone changes. It won't fix ALL the desync issues, but it'll help.
Psykrom 21. feb. 2016 kl. 9:59
the desync is related to TL2 game engine; it's an old multiplayer problem that never got adressed. If you play with a friend, whoever is desyncing or gets endless loading screens should go first if you move to a new area, hope it helps.
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2016 kl. 9:39
Unfortunately, I have no idea. I usually play alone. I've tried to get a couple of friends to install my list and play with me, but they're all burnt out on TL2 after playing it for months straight when it first came out. :P

The original pack this is based off of I believe was intended for online play (until the level 101-200 glitch was discovered). The only thing I can suggest is to try it and see.

Synergies can desync because of the crazy amount of stuff in general going on at all times, since it adds a lot more to the game (which means more data being tossed around that the game has to deal with). This pack is mostly changing what's already there, not really adding all that much. I would assume it should be fine?
Giiraf 21. feb. 2016 kl. 2:29
Will this mod cause desync when playing lan? Had allot of those problems when using the synergy mod
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 18. feb. 2016 kl. 10:51
No problem. :P TL2 modding can be a little complicated because of that 10-mod limit, particularly when you start mixing compilations together.
Psykrom 18. feb. 2016 kl. 9:39
cool, that solves my problem entirely - thanks! :)
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 18. feb. 2016 kl. 8:59
Torchlight 2 Essentials (in this case, SynergiesMOD Compatible Torchlight 2 Essentials ) already has Extra Chunky and Blanks Landmarks in it! Don't forget to check mod descriptions for what they have in them when you install something, often times they've already got the popular stuff!

But yes, for Torchlight 2 in general, unless a mod specifically states that it's relying on another (like the Synergies' TL2 Essentials), you can usually remove anything in a recommended load order and replace it with something else.
Psykrom 18. feb. 2016 kl. 2:05
Hi there - if I skip additional classes and addon to additional classes, would the load order still work (because I want to add extra chunky and blanks landmarks instead).
lormdoep 7. feb. 2016 kl. 11:10
ah ok thank you i made it :O
Feline Pawtism  [ophavsmand] 7. feb. 2016 kl. 8:29
If I'm understanding the question correctly, if you already have 10 mods, you can't load another. Torchlight 2 doesn't allow more than 10 mods at a time, which is why combined packs like this exist.

So if you have 10 mods already, you'll have to figure out which one to get rid of to replace it with this. :P
