Hello everyone! How are you? Does anyone here know if there is or will be a mod like this to Age of Wonders 4 as well? Which increases the amount of units in each regiment. Thanks in advance.

Needs compatibility patch for city developpement mod.

This mod seems to cause some units to get stuck on each other in some battles and prevents the entire battle from progressing, essentially a game freeze, forcing a restart and disabling of the mod in order to progress.

I have not had any problems whatsoever playing with this on vanilla. What I would like to see is if we could get a compatibility patch for Chivalrous Intentions. And how hard would something like that be to do?

Not really working right when i tried it along with compatibility mods for other mods. High elf swordsmen came up as shown in the screenshots above, but other units were just usual unmodded numbers in a unit.

No problem ;) Like I said Inviktys and I spent a lot of time testing out every single unit to see who caused the crashes and how to fix them so finally being able to do so would be pretty cool!

Well there is a screenshot section on your profile page. But to tell you the truth I have never uploaded on myself so I cant tell you how. Btw just in case you need any extra help with the modding I have sent Inviktys, the mod author, a message just to say what were discussing. I'm sure he would be interested to know that it works for at least one person!

You can upload them to your Steam profile I think. I dont have skype or anything so the only other way would be email I think. You don't have to if you dont want to I was just curious

I also have 16gb of ram but only have the 980 ti. I can play the game on ultra settings no problem, it just cant handle this mod for some reason (as far as i'm awars the 980 ti isnt even that old and came out long after AoW3 so it should still be able to handle it right?)

May I see that screenshot btw?

Just tried the exact same thing as you. Small map. Only Bigger Regiments added. All settings set to low. 3 full stacks of Tigran Crusaders into a battle. Crashed :( It's a mystery why it works for you and not me.

And yeah i'm just trying to be as helpful as possible. I spent that long trying to find out why this mod was causing crashes that I became very invested in it! :)

okay I miss heard you to first time so i went into a small map and made three armies just full of tiger crusaders and hitting a FPS lag fairly hard but, no crash

From what I remember when using this mod the Humans seem to function ok despite the enormous fps hit. Most other races and class units caused crashes when used in multiple stack battles. If you run a test, say send 5 full stacks of Tigran Sunguard into battle with this mod active, and see if your game still runs ok. Its those kind of battles that cause me to recieve w very specific error everytime. It looks like this:

Thats pretty insane if it works for you! Especially with a unit like Tigran Crusaders. My game couldnt even handle 3 full armies of them without crashing!

What specs does your computer have if you dont mind me asking?

well it was crusaders and i had about 10 of them (full stacks) and i was fighting like 5 human pikemen I'll check out the guide and see if i can get anything done

Really? Thats interesting. So even a full 5/6 stacks of Sun Guard doesnt cause your game to crash when it enters the battle screen? It did for me and the author even with no other mods active and all settings set to low.

If you feel like trying to make a compatibility patch yourself Inviktys has made an excellent guide (link just above comment section) on how to do it. Its very easy to follow and allowed me to make compatibility patches with numerous mods

well the mod has not caused my game to crash then again I only have few mods installed and I normaly only play as the Tigers

I dont think this mod will be getting updated again im afraid. Since me and Inviktys discovered it caused crashes with almost all races I dont think he really saw the point in it.

Unless, miraculously, it works perfectly for you and we can maybe try to figure out why (wishfull thinking, please, please? :)

is it possible for you to make a compatibility patch for Shieldman Unit Mod = https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1140282195 cause with both mods some units seem to only be in sizes of eight even ones that have none of their effects changed such as the Tigran Sun Guard . . . . . . Btw I love how this mod make ever battle seem like a blood bath with all the bodies

I can revert back to version 1.703 only and i'm still recieving crashes, even with only this mod installed. Same old shader error message. Strange that your not getting them. Maybe it is a problem on my end. Hopefully someone can get back to you on the forums then we can know for sure.

I found it a while back when I was trying to fix the problem myself. I'm not to familiar with how to use it properly but i'm still going to give it a shot. Just in case it can make a difference.

I think it may be an update or something. When I first made it, I had no problems. It's a specific shader on some model (cloaked goblins with capes). It may just not be possible to with the current state.

I had a funny feeling that might be the case. Im having similar problems running even with just this mod. Maybe the engine just cant cope with more than its base limits.

As I know nothing about modding, the only thing I could suggest is maybe making the mod higher priority> I have no idea if that will change anything but thats my two cents!
