I am also interested in the future of the mod after the upcoming 2.8 patch changes.
it's only difference is that instead of removing provinces from their original locations the new provinces in Africa are simply added (the version has some 15 provinces more).
I haven't maintained this since there is better version of this. But if there are people who want this and not the "+" version, I can do that. No plan though
Not sure how LoL this is, but anyway, if you play with any mod and load a game which was started without that mod, there is like 100% chance that something would get wrong.

Nobody forces you to use this. If you prefer awfull borders and having dozens of fantasy provinces in the middle of desert, you are welcome to use vanilla map :)
Very unaesthetic imo, and not really historically accurate considering any old map you look at has those areas as part of their territory under various kingdoms.
@Osariusz - that place (Taghaza) was 2 and 3 weeks respectively from the closest settlement. That's why it is isolated. Otherwise the province would have to be terribly long.
