feel free to mod the front bay in anyway you need. I can always move the lower turrets down one block, so you can get a 3X3 round to work with.

What I really wish I could do was make the round shoot straight like a bullet, instead of having the rod wobble and turn. The best way to make these things with is to use a cannonball-esque round design. I'll work on something better, though.

I'm a dumbass.. If I use the latest Dev version, it all works fine..no issues. I was on a very old build. for some reason my copy wasnt updating. that explains the exploding ships. Thank-you very much for helping me build a mac cannon into this beauty. The front bay has six merge blocks for the mac round, welders and grav generators. AI core(Programable blocks) are on the top deck by the top airlock, and use the timer blocks on the bridge. They are empty. The projectors on the wall behind the hyperdrive are for the MAC rounds. Feel free to make a few different rounds if you like.

Do you use an old rotor mod like the old ring rotors? Those things explode and do more damage than a freakin' warhead now.

ok. thanx. I was only able to get it working without blowing up by using the orginal map and deleteing all the unneeded mods. Do you have any idea why it would explode at a speed of 70 under normal operation? All my old builds are doing this

Much more doable, I use more mods than that for Halo ships. I'll work on it when I get home.

ok, I was able to get it transfered to its own map with only the core 26 mods needed.

I tried to transfer the ship to a new map, but it keeps disappearing and killing me when I get up to a speed of 70. Then the respawn wont let me move. I have no idea whats causing it and I cant get any of my older builds to work at this point.

Okay, even with my more advanced setup there is no way I can load a world with 87 mods in it without leaving it to load overnight. Just make a world with the bare mods need, inluding the attachment mod, small ship mega pack, and the shipyard welders. And a speed mod.

thank you so much! It's the green frigate with the five big turrets on it. The mac bay is in the front. I have the ship pretty much as I want it, but have had NO luck making a mac cannon.

love this build! would you be willing to build your mac cannon on a ship ive already made, but cant figure out how to get the mac cannon working?

true that! this would absoloutely vaporize almost any vanilla ship. they do use some mods, (i make them take baby steps) but ive found theres actually quite a lot you can do with vanilla stuff, gotta love scripts not being mods >:)

Once I can get back to building again I actually need to update this and many other builds. I have trouble with it too sometimes. I'll at least get her to work better.
Lucky for your friends, they can hide from my fleet in their vanilla servers. :steamhappy:

The trouble is getting it to work in MP, I know you arent mean and i know some engineers like to use mods, (I myself agree completely and if I had my way all servers would have 100s of mods) I just had hopes of using this monster in the MP server me and my friend play on but alas. Good work though :steamhappy:

I mean not to be mean, but I mostly make these builds for my own enjoyment and to produce the highest quality and most functional builds possible. There just isn't enough in vanilla to make it sexy and super-functional.

I recommend using this with the fixed Grid Integrity mod, one-hitting a Covie ship and then watching the crippled hulk start to blow itself to peices is nothing short of amazing!

UNSCjet: I found a way (or two) to fix the problem. I published the blueprint of the SMAC round to the workshop, you can do one of two things: equip the round's print to the station once you own both, or do the same once both are neutral.

It's a merge block problem, they both (the merge blocks on the round and gun) have to be owned by the same owner or both be neutral.

I had that issue, it has to do with ownership of the platform and the printed round. Basically you have to own the round AND the platform for it to work properly, I think you're printing a neutral object? Not sure. I'll publish a blueprint of the SMAC round at some point.
