Find the place where XCOM 2 is on your SSD / HD
Like: Drive: D - SteamApps - Common - XCom2 - XCom2-WarOfTheChoosen - XComGame - Config - DefaultGameData
Open DefaultGameData
Open the search function (Strg + F) and search for AlienHeadquarters
Click through till it won't find another "AlienHeadquarters"
What you should see now:
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[0]=0 ;Easy
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[0]=12
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[1]=0 ;Normal
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[1]=12
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[2]=0 ;Classic
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[2]=12
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[3]=0 ;Impossible
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[3]=12
Select the difficulty level you want to change, remove the "12" and enter whatever you want, like 20 or 24 or 30.
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[3]=0 ;Impossible
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[3]=24
That's why I said it changes core files.
