Otherwise some features might place items over the uniforms. (just reading comments gives this info)
Also, y'all need to stop trying to use last-updated-2016 mods in WOTC. 99% of vanilla mods are incompatible with WOTC. If a mod doesn't explicitly mention WOTC in the description save yourself the hassle and just assume it's not going to work and try to find an alternative.
You need AML. Alternative Mod Launcher. If you already had it, delete your jsonsetting in the AML folder. go to doc/mygames/xcom2/xcomgame/config and delete everything--the game will remake all the files automatically on restart. start the game with ONLY character pool uni activated, test if the mod is active by making a uniform that's easily identifiable like shorts/vest/sleeveless/hides hair and starting a new game.
It means that the mod is 30 gigabytes when it should only be a megabyte.
Anyone have it working on WOTC as of recently?
@gamedevjosh
If you're still active, please update the mod by removing the XComGame folder from your mod project.
Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\619905919\Script
At a guess that's core, vanilla game scripts from the pre-Alien Hunters patch. At another guess that file will get automatically loaded and, applying guesses on top of guesses, those old script functions are going to override new ones and bad things(TM) could happen.
Or am I completely wrong there?
As well as there being the previously mentioned ~16MB of unneeded vanilla game script files in 619905919\SRC
Apparently some arms and face props don't either.
Is there a plan to include these later?
Does voice, nationality, class, etc carry over?
Does disabling a character as a soldier in character pool solve the problem with them showing up as 'Mr. Uniform'?
Did the new patch or DLC break this mod?
@Aetherlift - If you have another mod that overrides XGCharacterGenerator, it's probably stopping this one from working.

Oh man, I was using this mod a few days ago just fine, but it isn't working anymore for me. After reading your comment I searched for this file in my mods folder and I noticed a lot of the mods I use modifies XGCharacterGenerator.
Here's the list:
Load from Character Pool
Capnbubs Accessories Pack
Expanded Callsigns and Nicknames
MEC Voice Pack
All Armor Options
