I appreciate you taking a look at this-I honestly have just gotten used to the offset loadout boxes-it's not game breaking after all-just a nice QOL fix for us 21:9 people. Why Firaxis doesn't correct this (going all the way back to XCOM EU) I do not understand.

*No, they haven't said that, that's just the modding community's feelings due to how they've designed their mods. Even though I don't make any code mods, I fully agree with the community's stance. They need to change; not other people.
If you could find an .ini fix for height that would be great as it would fix it forever. Right now I'm just playing with the default 2560X1080 from Firaxis. Really it's the loadout screen and the ships "ant farm" that have screwed up alignments. I really don't understand why Firaxis has never fixed this with all the 21:9 screens out there!
That.. is really stupid of Firaxis. I mean it's not as stupid as the cursor being completely out of alignment in the original game (forced to play in 16:9), but god, they need to wake up. 5 months after release and still no 21:9 support, and still the game is Vert- by default.
i might be wrong but u need to take a look
My question is simple. I do not use a ultra wide monitor, usually its a 20 incher. Can this mod correct my issues with slots and allow me to once again select all 8 of my guys instead of selecting 6 and getting two randoms?
However, the extra settings I added in the config file will only work for Ultra Wide screens(and triple-monitors, i think). That is because on a normal 16:9 or 16:10 monitor you don't have enough space to show the 7th and 8th soldier slot and just as you said they won't show up on the screen because they will be appearing off-screen without anyway to access them.
But that the UI. If you are referring to the actual soldier models that appear in the background this mod doesn't add them. I haven't found a way too yet, I'm not sure if anyone else has either but I could been wrong, I haven't really been looking into it much lately. I've been busy with many new games this month, mainly torturing myself by playing Dark Souls 3. lol
It's kinda frustrating you don't even see your 7th and 8th soldier when using Starting With Larger Squad...but I *do* see their loadouts...
Guessing that the 7th and 8th soldiers NEVER show up on the screen?
I don't use any other mods that change the launch GUI, 8 soldiers, 8 solts, 6 models.
I have the TryToFitEveryone FALSE and the rearrange on.
