This mod is putting the cards in my hand upside-down
MrMath536 12 Jan, 2022 @ 7:42am
That's an awesome idea. But when you play "alone" to create a game, it doesn't pass the cards, since I'm not a "player" even if if gave Red and Orange players cards in their hand.

Hey, someone had an issue with this script in one of my mods when they were playing with 5 players. Maybe you could take a look? Pretty sure I left your script unmodified, so I'm not sure what would cause it.

Thanks for this! I'm going to give it a shot in my Sushi Go Party mod. I haven't really been able to test it in a real scenario, since I practically never have people to play with on TTS, but a few people have reported issues with passing hands in the past and I'm hoping this will resolve all the issues.

...Until the API changes again and screws everything up, of course. ;)

Pushed an update that should hopefully make this work a little cleaner. Tabletop Simulator, being a simulator can be finnickey, but hopefully this should stop errors with cards not being rotated. Uses some of the API features added or fixed since this was last updated. Also coloured the chips to correspond to the players. Let me know if this has broken your game / ruined your life, and I'll look to fixing that.

The error Roon pointed out here has now been fixed. Hopefully everything should be fully functioning again, don't hesitate to let me know if you find any issues.

Roon, this is due to a change they made to the API. I have been intending to get it updated, but haven't got round to it yet. Until then, the item will be unusable, sorry

It doesn't work for me, when i try to use the button, there is an error like "cannot convert a string into a clr type" l104
Markimus 23 Mar, 2016 @ 6:08am
It would be nice if this was a toggle button rather than two distinct buttons.
Richy_s  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 12:56pm
Ahh, well at least it's fixed itself now.
Just tested, I think you're right, I got my clockwise/anticlockwise codes confused. Shall push an update to flip them round the right ways.

And thank you for helping fix it up!

My problems have been solved by deleting Tabletop Simulater folder in my documents.
Unchecking "Mod Caching" option was not enough.
If someone like me appears, please let him know it.

I also found that the directions both rotators indicate are probably contrary.
(My friend confirmed it in his PC too.)

Last but not least, thank you for checking my posts and dealing with it.
Licchan 6 Mar, 2016 @ 4:14am
Really! I wonder it happens only on my pc ;D
The above behaviors have still happened, but I found the first issue causes the second. On the occasion of rotating, cards often keep overlapping in hand, some cards are turned, or falls. If I push button once in such a situation, the second issue happens. (I've confirmed it isn't double-click.)

Perhaps, problem is the rotating behavors appearing (only?) on my PC.
Are there some factor that be able to affect script behavior in TTS?

I'll keep trying something to help (asking my friend to test on his pc, and so on).

@Licchan, managed to reproduce the black chips staying. I can provide an update that removes it. it does look a little bit ugly (button vanishes for a frame), but I'll push it as an update, and can always revert it if people complain.
Richy_s  [author] 5 Mar, 2016 @ 2:59pm
@Licchan, Hmm, some good feedback, however without reproducability, I can't pin down the cards falling issue :/

I suppose, with the recent API change, I could remove or change the button in some way to avoid double-presses. Are you needing to rotate hands by 2 places, or is this usually just misclicking?
Licchan 5 Mar, 2016 @ 2:48pm
Thank you for fixing it early!
For development, I report some things getting on my nerves. When the cards rotate, some cards often fall to the table on the occasion of rotating. It doesn't happen invariably but with high probability.
Sometimes black chips that appear above all seats players sitting on don't disappear and continue to be there. It tends to happen when rotate button is pushed twice at short intervals, but happens when I use nomally at times.
I've tested those cases by using 7wonders, sushi-go, and MTG or dixit, and so on (with some sized cards).

@Licchan, Awesome to hear it's been useful for you. This was due to an update to the API they rolled out last night. I have updated the mod today, and hopefully everything should be fixed.
Licchan 5 Mar, 2016 @ 9:37am
Hi, I've used this mod since its first appearance!
Does this mod work correctly now?
An error has been appeared on my PC, said "Error in createButton: click_function was null of an empty string." Its button doesn't be shown.
Unreal Ed 5 Mar, 2016 @ 9:06am
How about "Scripting Feature: X" then?
Richy_s  [author] 5 Mar, 2016 @ 5:34am
@Unreal Ed, I like the idea of unifying the little projects, but perhaps 'Scripting Snippets' would make people think these are only script references, rather than fully-usable items?
Unreal Ed 5 Mar, 2016 @ 4:46am
I really like your little script projects. And really like the image you chose for the mod's thumbnail. Might I suggest this though: Call them "Scripting Snippets: X", where X is Hand Rotator in this case. It'll help distinguish them on the Workshop

Just tested it with a group of three on Sushi Go, and it works wonderfully. We were able to play a whole game much faster this way. It just makes it way easier.
Richy_s  [author] 22 Feb, 2016 @ 11:26am
Thanks Bernie. It really was games like Sushi-Go and 7Wonders that inspired this
Naveed #No2IRGC 22 Feb, 2016 @ 11:13am
WOW!!!! Wonderful work! This would be perfect for Sushi go!
