I probably is possible, I just have no idea how to do it. Shrike did it with his custom scopes, so it should be doable for Medic weapons as well.
(Though since the Medic weapons use their own semi-UI element which also displays how much ammo you have left in the magazine and your dart recharge, it's possible Medic weapons are the exception to that rule.)
