Beat wave 25 today - the little Easter egg in the announcement was a nice surprise. By then the difficulty seemed to plateau and I got bored.

@EatThePath: Last comment from me sorry if it's annoying, ADHD at it's best XD I have also noticed the harvesters latch onto the asteroids.....backwards.....is that by design or just something that slipped past you? By backwards i mean their harvesting beams aim out into space, not at the asteroid.

@EatThePath: Thanks for replying to me. And just some of the ships, the basic models look great i am just excited to see what's lying underneath the smooth texture you know? I'm glad to hear it's still alive unlike some of the other mods I played. If you could add me as a friend that would be amazing, keep it up and don't feel rushed on my account. @LordJohn, click the subscribe buttonthen open homeworld and pick it in the mod launcher.

@SpartanXZero, ourselves, probably not immediately. While some of us play stellaris, stellaris model modding isn't something we've gotten into and looks like a deep rabbit hole from what I've looked at in the past. Plus cutting the models up into proper sections to drop into the stellaris paradigm would be a lot of model work, or making a more fitting other gameplay framework for them to live in would take a lot of design work. I don't speak for the team as a whole while writing this, but I'd be surpised if anyone was up to laying that amount of work in at the moment. But if you are or know somone who is, maybe we can talk.

holy hell this is fucking awsome i love the look of all of the new taces especially the Hiigarans and the Frrn?(im not sure if im spelling it right please let me know if if am) the single player missioe was awsome and i look forward to seeing the other races campaighns as well
now onto the survival maps: awsome but could use some improvement namely in the resources department, maybe setting the Bounty system(if thats what you are useing) to give at least 75% of the total worth of the units killed may help
other wise this is a fucking awsome mod and i look forward to more updates

@EatThePath: I don't know if it's due to my AMD video card, it seems to stop many classic/remastered mods from working due to the atioglxx.dll bug but that may not be the case here. I tried every key on my keyboard to open the build que in case it was a mismapped key, but to no avail. I tried it on every map as well. IT may just need reinstalling, but i figured i might ask first to see if there was a known issue, thanks for trying to recreate it.

@Everyone: 0.3.0.0 is up, with a mission now playable.

@Firewolf: It my not look like you have a builder ship, but if you hit the build hotkey (B) it should be possible to create some ships. I just tested it on the bridge of death map, if it's still not working for you please let me know what map you're trying on.

Either im blind or im doing something wrong. On the survival maps, i spawn in with no ships nor do I have the ability to build ships. The build que is completely empty, research que is gone and i cant find any way to spawn my first ship.

@Boss Bawss: From the description. "New players should be aware that our planned ship lists are large and to fill out the gameplay we've put placeholder models in many roles. These range from untextured rectangles to partially finished actual models."

I can understand if this is a turn-off, but it's not some sort of glitch that you're experincing, just the state of the mod.

When I go into a custom game, neither faction's mothership has textures. The resource collectors do. Anyone else having this issue?

@EatThePath : I just want to say beautiful mod. I really like the aesthetic of the models/textures. Unfortunately I appear to be having a similar graphical issue to @Dark specter. For me at least, I think it has to do with the Vaygr frigate exhaust trails. The game will be fine until I start building frigates then all of a sudden these flickering streaks will appear all over the screen which are the exact same colour as the trails. After some experimentation it only appears to happen when the ships are moving (and therefore the exhaust animation is active).

@Dark spectre: I've seen reports of this from other people but haven't gotten it to happen for myself, so it's a bit hard to bughunt. If you figure out more specific conditions that make it reliably happen, I'd love to hear about it.

Hi i find the way the ships really cool and the way the UHN ships are kind of a combination of Kushan and taiidan and the weapons fire for the fernerr( or how ever its spelled) very beautiful :steamhappy: but one thing i ran into is in a Vayger vs vayger everything was fine i had 3 assault frigs 21 fighters all ferner and 9 vay gunships but when i engaged the enemy the screen started acting crazy i took a bunch of screen shots of what happend so ill try to put a link to one here somewhere if i figure out how.

Also, off topic somewhat, I would like to see the next kiith description to belong to the Gaalsieni. The kiith that is already descriped as being "very nasty xenophobes." I would really appreciate the new lore. I love lore and making sense of it.

For the standard corvettes, I meant against my frigates and capitalships. Corvettes still do pretty well against fighters. While the Flare and Ion corvette repsectively still hurt ALOT. I just found ways to minimize how much they hurt with frigates and capitalships. (A key component is the support frigate. Sad that the UNH has yet to receive this enevitable function for their's.)

We might want to tweak some of the handling of the heavy corvette or some of the weapons that are meant to prey on it. It's supposed to be anti-strikecraft, so that role is unlikely to go away, but I welcome all discussion and commentary on the current state of the game. The amount of time we can put into actually playing the mod is limited, so your experinces are very valued.

Also, I would describe the music as exploratory. Without a hidden treasure trove of homeworld style music or a skilled composer with tons of free time and intrest in the project turning up from the aether, we're not going to be able to use only homeworld type music. If anything is a particularly good or poor fit feel free to let us know, of course.

@sayerglasgow: Regarding Vaygr production: Vaygr have admittedly been neglected somewhat since the Remastered changeover. I don't believe that long-term they will have the one-ship-at-a-time handicap. But the only faction we've playtested since Remastered has been the UNH vs. itself so far, and thus it's the only one taking any real advantage of the new possibilities afforded by the new engine.

I will admit I agree that the Frerrn drone frigate is probably too good at everything as it stands. The drones, having turrets, provide basically uninterrupted fire, whereas the UNH equivalent is a bit more modest with its fighter-like attack-run-style drones. FRN drone frigates alone have carried me much farther into survival mode then I'd ever got before in the past. I'll bring the matter up again in team discussion.

In regards to the non-anti-capital corvettes, in the original homeworld, they were the direct counter to the fighters and countered by the assault frigate and larger missile destroyer. In my playthroughs of the survival mode, (even before the remastering of homeworld) I have found ways of dealing with the more frightening corvettes (vaygr flare gunship, UNH Ion corvette) with larger units these corvettes counter. I have not found even the standard or heavy corvettes to be as potent as you have experienced initially.
I'm not sure of how you have been using the Frerrn Drone Frigate to make it that potent against units in it's current form. Perhaps you could describe the conditionals surrounding them, like how many of them?
I believe the music now is just placeholder in nature, if I'm not mistaken.
