Justr discovered this... Can I get permission to take a few things from this and update them for wotc?? Mainly the techs, items, and perks...
Impregnator of Marble 12 Nov, 2018 @ 11:27am
i wish this would last longer

some of my best memories in this game come from those stealthy city missions. love this mod!
Saddam Hussein 23 Jun, 2017 @ 6:55pm
compatable with LW2?
redfuzzy 6 Jun, 2017 @ 1:58pm
It seems to me like the game no longer tries to keep too many pods from engaging you at once. I like the rest of the mod, but don't like dealing with so many enemies. Is there a way I can turn that back on?
Bobit 5 Jun, 2017 @ 3:52pm
@Thor of Florida

This is an overhaul as long as LW2, I would assume it's incompatible with most other gameplay changes. LW Toolbox should work alright though.
Bobit 4 Jun, 2017 @ 8:38am
@Kazran: yes, the only "strategic" things that change are item and class progression (in Green there is randomized loot and build-your-own-classes AFAIK)
Kazraan 28 May, 2017 @ 1:04pm
This looks very interesting. can I assume the strategic gameplay is still the same, this is more of a tactical and base overhaul?
Goldenbytes 25 May, 2017 @ 11:51am
Spectrum green was the one with the new class changes right? (Hype):sectoid:
Thor of Florida 16 May, 2017 @ 12:02pm
Is this a mod that you would have to play by itself with few quality of life mods (like LW2)? I do want to try this, but I want to know how many mods i need to disable. is there a detailed compatibility list to read? Thank you.

The Spectrum Green Beta is over, I will be making some updates and re-release it on 10th June with a large bugfix/polish update.
ChesedNeb 12 May, 2017 @ 2:02am
What happened to Spectrum Green? Is the alpha stage over? If this is so and you update Spectrum yellow to be near identical to the Spectrum green alpha will I be able to continue my playthrough?
Rednidedni 19 Apr, 2017 @ 1:59pm
Ah, youre supposed to just gtfo when the enemy has spotted you in a council mission.
Rednidedni 18 Apr, 2017 @ 2:58pm
Um... I'm in my first council mission, less than a month has passed and every single turn multiple enemies with 6 hp and 3 armor are dropping as reinforcements. Is that a bug or how is a squad of 4 low levels supposed to beat that?
Fat Idiot Thanos 29 Mar, 2017 @ 1:04pm
will you be releasing the weapons as skins in a seperate mod?
because I love the LMG models and I would love to use them with the XSkins System
Alecazam 14 Feb, 2017 @ 5:03pm
Awesome, looking forward to it!
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 14 Feb, 2017 @ 9:39am
Indeed, it is very much my next major update in the Spectrum Series, it's very ambitous and is currently itching into beta phase where updates are no longer certain to ruin your current saves.
michael199310 14 Feb, 2017 @ 8:17am
@Cunny Funt Spectrum Green is next version though it changes so much that author decided to make it as a separate mod. You should stay tuned for Green as it's going to be even better than Yellow!
Alecazam 14 Feb, 2017 @ 8:04am
Not sure how often you get this, but this mod is absolutely great. I just got the game recently and finished vanilla on normal. I tried Long War 2 for a second playthrough, but it's just so horribly buggy and imbalanced right now it's not worth it.

Spectrum however adds terrifying variety to the enemy, and an absolutely AWESOME dynamic to city missions (that I forgot at first). But in return the variety of weaponry and classes bolsters your own strength as well. I also absolutely LOVE the way you've midfied how weapons work, and changed up the tier system.

Onequestions if that's alright: What's this Spectrum green I've seen mentioned in hte comments? Is it a separate mod, or is it an addition to this one?

Keep up what you're doing mate, this is really amazing.
stay positive 2 Feb, 2017 @ 8:08pm
Hey Yzaxtol,

In the decription you say that you want to translate the your mod into other languages. I'm able to translate it into several languages (German, Chinese and maybe Korean). I'd love to work on that.
If you're interested I've sent you a friend request or shoot me an email: tomloening@gmail.com.

Thank you
Tom L.

Does this work with Grimey's Loot Mod, and if not could you add your own version? I loved that fact that you could get really useful weapons out of those and seems to fit into the Spectrum theme. (I know there is a loot change, but not a random loot box)
Krakenous 24 Jan, 2017 @ 4:07am
Do you think you could add the new armours and weapons to a seperate mod, to be used with LW2? That would be awesome :).
Alpha the Mage 20 Jan, 2017 @ 2:42pm
Sweet!
sexton23 20 Jan, 2017 @ 2:29pm
WHOA! Big news. Hype train just took in too much coal
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 20 Jan, 2017 @ 1:50pm
Now that long war 2 is out,I recommend that people try it out.

I am planning on releasing a spectrum mode addition to long war 2 but that will be after spectrum green is released and after I have finished a playthrough of long war, myself.
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 11 Jan, 2017 @ 12:41am
I am looking into supporting DLc. Will update green with what I am working on.
Eduardo 10 Jan, 2017 @ 3:50pm
Dont know if this has been asked before, but will Spectrum touch the dlcs in any way?

You could implement a weaker version of the ruler system for your overlord aliens, similar to a better advent with their primes.
I saw on your changelog that you plan on introducing a Gatekeeper Prime, a Sectopod Prime and a Berserker Prime. Will these enemies use the ruler system? Or is something else planned?

As for Sparks, will spectrum affect them? If not, do you reccomend other mods like Metal over Flesh to give them a boost?
Thalarian 8 Jan, 2017 @ 4:20pm
Took a look at the Localization .ini and .int files and unfortunately they all still list the Vanilla values for the rank names. (FYI looked under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Config\INT)
redsky14 8 Jan, 2017 @ 2:06pm
For author of this mod and players who played this mod a lot..

Is it possible to finish this mode on Legend diff - Ironman and how many starting soldiers should i put on LW mod ? i Prefer to play with 7 squad team ( after all upgrades).

Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 8 Jan, 2017 @ 12:39pm
It should be under Localization
Thalarian 8 Jan, 2017 @ 12:28pm
I realize this was posted in one of the discussions but wanted to follow-up with it here:

I am hoping you could provide an answer on changing the rank names (Can't find the tweak in the .ini file as it's all still Vanilla), as I'm currently using the N7 Rank Names mod and this one overrides it. If possible, I'd like to make the modifications back to that one to override Spectrum's names.
Dreyfus0414 6 Jan, 2017 @ 4:42pm
@Eduardo long war's changes pale in comparison to spectrum yellow, and I am confident it will be the same for LW2 and Spectrum Green. LW is fun, and considerding the mod hostility of xcom EW miraculos. But new classes perks enemies weapons and a slightly changed airgame are nothing compared to spectrums classes enemies missions base management loadout choices armor choices concealment rework reinforcement mechanics high alert mechanic etc.
OrangeTux 6 Jan, 2017 @ 2:11pm
I've never tried your mod/s before, but am coming back from an XCOM hiatus. Looking forward to checking this out (Yellow) and glad to hear you aren't stopping development on Green.
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 6 Jan, 2017 @ 12:20am
That is what I meant I haven't updated this version in 6 months or so
Alpha the Mage 5 Jan, 2017 @ 11:48pm
Just focus on 1 or 2 spectrum mods. BTW i love the green one.
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 5 Jan, 2017 @ 11:45pm
Due to the support I received from all you people after saying that I might give up on spectrum, I have decided to keep going. My initial plans to release spectrum on the anniversary of xcom 2 is scrapped and will probably just release it a month after lw2 is released.
michael199310 5 Jan, 2017 @ 2:01pm
LWS are not 'be all end all' of XCOM mod community. People like variety. Perhaps your mod will be more 'user friendly' and compatible than LW2? This is not the first XCOM, where mods were uncommon. I'm looking forward to Spectrum more than to LW2.
Eduardo 5 Jan, 2017 @ 1:20pm
I dont think that long war 2 will make your project obsolete or pointless, your ideas are great and I doubt that they will be replicated by lws.
I hope that you decide to continue Spectrum, mods like yours have and will continue to give Xcom 2 life for many years to come.

You owe us nothing, yet you have invested your own time and effort into Spectrum, that takes alot of dedication and it is something that I greatly respect.
Stallion 5 Jan, 2017 @ 7:58am
You have a different vision to what the Long War guys will make. I think what you're doing is cool and unique. I hope you'll continue it.
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 5 Jan, 2017 @ 7:35am
Long War 2 has been announced.

I'll be taking a break from developing Spectrum Green and see if it's worth it to continue.
Alpha the Mage 30 Dec, 2016 @ 8:08am
@Stallion: Yes it is.
Stallion 30 Dec, 2016 @ 7:50am
Is this compatible with Grimy's Loot Mod? I consider that mod essential.
MightNight 28 Dec, 2016 @ 10:44am
You son of a...I have been waiting soooo long to play that!!! Ahah thanks man!!!
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 28 Dec, 2016 @ 3:49am
As I thought it might be confusing people I have removed the Green screenshots and they'll only be found on the Green Workshop Page.
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 28 Dec, 2016 @ 2:10am
The current Alpha build for Green can be found at: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=785405763
MightNight 27 Dec, 2016 @ 6:42pm
I wunna play green :'(
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 19 Dec, 2016 @ 10:51am
I've decided to include TITAN with green in a very basic way. They're currently pictured in the latest screenshot and will replace all troopers with Drones (that fire laser-pistol like blasts unlike LW Drones), Engineer Officers and MEC support.
Yzaxtol - Mike  [author] 12 Dec, 2016 @ 2:34pm
Skins yes, the models are either vanilla or long war studios.

TITAN is a bit of a long shot. I'm hoping to get them in with green but i think they'll be added as a Green 1.2 kind of thing as I will need to re-make a new MEC based army, hopefully the LongWar drones will be able to fill gaps.
Eduardo 12 Dec, 2016 @ 12:17pm
Im really liking the aesthetics of spectrum enemies. Aegis looks very sophisticated with their glowing armor, Prometheus looks like a brutal wrecking crew, Pandora is intimidating with their dark helmets, the Mutons look pretty sweet too, especially the warlord.
Are you making these skins yourself? Also, will Titan be included with the green update?
